I have a wonderful wife and son and we live in Riverton/Herriman Utah. I am a high school teacher, and head coach for cross country and track at Mountain Ridge High.

I haven't run for about a month, so I figured that it was about time.  I went out after work at about 6:30pm, it was very cold and dark, but I felt okay. I ran the 7th north hillcrest loop, and felt like I could have run a bit further.

I ran in the morning, probably about 0 degrees.  I went down (Boulevard) on the Island to the old house and back (dugway and Old Main stairs). It was cold and I didn't feel as good as last time out.  I looked like Frosty the Snowman when I got home.

Morning run, below 0 degrees!  I felt okay for upping it another mile.  I ran the canal trail, 1st dam, Hillcrest loop.  Last mile just under 7 minutes.  The trail had about two inches of snow on it, and I came home looking like Frosty again.  Pleased with my time,

I got up early and ran in the dark.  It was way cold -7.  I went down past the old house and up to the top of River Heights hill and back.  I went both there and back on boulevard insteead of coming home up dugway.  I also went up Old Main stairs.

I ran when it was a little lighter today, but still early.  I felt okay for only running for a week and decived to run farther.  I went on the River Heights, center street loop, up center street first, and up Old Main staris on the way home.  I was surprised that I didn't feel as bad as I thought I would, and that I ran as fast as i did.  Way cold again!

I signed up for Del Sol and the Striders winter circuit today, so we'll see if that motivates me.

Lifted legs in the morning before class.  In lab we did a 3 minute step test and a 1-mile walk test.  My predicted VO2 max was 4.2 L/min.

I went about 6:00 am, it had snowed sometime during the night, so the roads were slick an it was dark.  I went on my version of the Dynamic Fitness 4 miler.  I didn't feel too bad when I ran considering how sore I got from lifting yesterday.
