| third day in a row at work .first as charge nurse. power outage x five minutes. jane delivered today. marley anna. cute dimple chinned sweetie. 14 hour shift. up at 425 to run 5 easy miles. that seemed so long ago. ap 8:13 sciatica right going on forever....running and walking. lots of tingling in both feet. pain out of right backand back of thigh to right foot on the bottom. |

| 8 miles after three long busy 12.5 to 14 hour shifts at work. charge nurse for first time. power outage and other not usual goings ons. other cns out of town or had a baby. definitely do not want that job for reals. ran first mile in 9;01 then 745, 7:28, 7:19, 7:22, 7:18, 7:41, 7:15. no stops. super muggy out. well i thought it was muggy til i landed in conneticut. driving to cape cod now for nine nigjts hanging out on the ocean with mu first cousins and their kids with,my girls. :-) back is the issue,to my foot. guarded running. ap 7:39 for 8. calling all miles under 7:30 fast. i am that winded these days. mainly due to cautionary running. |

| 8:30 ap. stroll pace at 6:52 am. out and back loops and hills and heat and,humidity. cold out door shower,to look forward at finish line. packed up beach house and on to my aunts beach house. fun in the sun all day. beach swim at mud beach , then the point beach , then biking around island, then kayaking with troy on the,ocean of course. humidity lessoned. nice breeze all tbe time. |

| boston for the day. freedom trail from boston marathon finish line to swan boats, to fanueil hall, to uss constition ship to bunker hill monument. amber dropped ipod into pond on swan boat. gone forever. i passed everyone going up the 294 flight of stairs to top of monument. heartrate 100. courtney 200, troy 160. but he stopped along the way. wow that was a confidence booster. wore flip flols the,entire time. so wish i could walk and run painfree. |

| dropped off courtney. worked tbree daus in a row after vacation. miss mountain air so drove to af cAnyon base and parked. ran up 5 miles at 8:52 ap amd then stretched at fork. very tbirsty,and hungry. hadnt eaten since 7pm last nkght and it was 715am. only drank half a glass of water before taking courtney. ran 5 miles down timidly with back/foot. it was warm. i m out of shape. ap 6:42. no stops. music died halfway through first mile downhill. iced in af river x 10 minutes. ahhh. wortj the run just for that. quads and hips tight probably from sw saturday. no fuel on run was a,problem for me but made it okay |

| stupidly met rachelle and her running group--josse, michelle l., melody, cam, and Kristen thorne at mouth of provo canyon. rachelle's last text to me was she was running slow. well she didn't plan on the elite showing up ready for sw. yay. just did my sw yesterday. and Saturday for that matter. michelle drove us up south fork to the top and we ran down--easy. luckily michelle claimed she was out of shape and was doing 14k easy with 4k at half marathon pace. after first mile warm up the others were gone on various workouts except Kristen who was with them then stopped and eventually ran with us the rest of the way from mile 3 on. ap 7:20. pretty much even splits there. lower back was very tight and front of thighs felt a lack of neural drive. did not feel normal at all. stopped at bottom of south fork while michelle used br and we drank. we stopped briefly at campground for water and I did again with josse and cam at mile 9 for 15 secs each. going real easy tomorrow. |

| dropped off Courtney at soccer. drove to new parking lot by canal trail on 1100 north pleasant grove. ran north 4 miles and ran back. 8:24 ap. humid, hot. sore starting out from like three workouts my body not used to-- sw Saturday on track, up/down af canyon mon and down sf provo canyon yesterday quicker than I have run in a while. |

| met rachelle, josse, cam, lilly and rebecca for a nice trail run...first mile strenuous...wake u up mile....i was behind....hard for me to warmup straight uphill. only stopped briefly twice oh and to tie my shoe. scenery was awesome. we had some great headwind at times. kept it interesting. almost blew us,off the hillside,when we turned around. very brief winds,thougb as hills provided good cover. didnt have trail shoes so was challenging on my nike pegasus 29. i felt really good at mile 5 to finish. easy recovery pace...8:36 ap. |

| up 7.5 down 7.5 starting at mouth of af canyon with mel and kim. of course being out of shape only had me with them when they stopped to get water or pee : D. they rocked it. AP up 8:12. AP down 7:00 (about as my new garmin doesn't read splits after run is done. it may once I put it on the computer. total average 7:35. some issues with garmin reading mileage/satellite. injection yesterday at 230 appt. they squeezed me in as I was able to be sent home early. so nice. helped back to foot tons when numb medication was working. takes 3-5 days to take affect and 10 days to peak. noticeable difference in hamstring back pain and plantar region. however when I went to run downhill the pain was there forcing me to run differently. : ((((( so not sure how I will fair over the next weeks of training when really I shouldn't be running at all. iced in river 9 minutes then went to brooke's scrimmage (amber played in it as well). won 3-0. luckily we had shade to sit under. I didn't shower yet so I was a little chilled from the icing. as I write this I am super tired but we are going to the movies-- double header with the kids--crudes and epic. Courtney is only going to one as she is going tonight to see Iron man 2 with her cousin. |

| on call at 5am. took kids to 7 peaks after i ran 8 recovery miles. so do not like,my foot and back. almost quit. 8:33 ap. chiro appt with marc. ultrasound, laser, and stretch table after adjistment. hip out. pain free jog into hospital and walk....then back to "normal" with throbbing nerve pain. especialy,felt it with ultrasound and laser...pulsating outward deep in the right hip. i should just stop running. |

| almost stopped at 0.1 miles......just too tired of tbis foot/back trauma. but the longer i went the more i decided 8 miles was doable. ran out and back from rec ctr up to loader ave and on up to the canal.,first mile 9:10. uphill a bit. last mile easily 7:18. downhill. all was easy. no pushing pace. headed south on canal turned around at 1600 north in orem. 71 degrees with some good shade at times. hip having some pulsating nerve pain due to steroid as it comes,to life. so hope this works. my foot goes,in and out of feeling almost normal. played games with brooke. and troy. stopped at walmart to get some things beforehand. hot out now. ap for 8.....7:54. |

| zero miles. just wanted to have,no pressure worked all day. nice pioneer day at wprk. came home watched a movie-- sky fall. should habe gone to bed but couldnt after falling asleep during movie two times. took cherry juice concentrate at 1145 pm. fell asleep 1.5 hours woke to q dream that i could not speak .....had tried mouth piece in lower teeth and i think i subconciously thought i was suffocating. very weird. hought it had been hours but only 130am! fell asleep til 530 and that was it. see tmr for further details. |

| see dream last night. deep sleep for hours i did sleep. felt ready for day at 530am. waited to take courtney to soccer. on drive saw kim running up 1100 north by my house on way back i found her at the top of 1100 at new parking lot just turning in to gett water. she invited me with her. i slowed her. i didnt habe a watch and jad to go right into 720 to 740 pace. not easy on the,old lady who warms up at a 9:00. bu for dieting reasons and not enough kcals and the sun/humidity my heart rate soared and i had to stop at finish of timp half at lone peak. we then decided to get a water at harts across street as my heart rate was over 200. at rest it is 42! last dr appt a week ago. so 200 felt like a heqrt attack. i was dizzy and light headed. after i put ice in my chest/bra i was btr and was able to run 7:54 then 7:28, and 7:20 last mile. downhill finish. rest was rolling flat. we did a portion of timp half so kim new what to expect. 7:36 ap for me. now that i m feeling btr in general....i can see clearly....my pelvis is way out. my left femur protrudes and right indents....hips are soooooo tilted. i feel like i have to bend my left leg to walk overly so that is.....my right reaching far to the ground. if i get this pelvis,in place i think i will be raring to go. foot feeling btr by a margin but trouble pelvis accentuates it. my back isnt hurting since the steroid is working more and more. |

| sogonamit marathon training run revisited. ran up at 330 am. slept only half hour. lots of creeks in lower body, hip and right foot. super humod and warm at start...83 degrees. ran with kelli for 5 miles. she wanted to walk so i kept running. i feel btr running. made it to halfway in 1:51:02. three minutes or more faster than two years ago. on way back down i could,not move well. my eyes were burning. i was really tired..like go to sleep tired not sore. i sang taylor swift songs on the steep in cline up. felt awesome and here in just one mile i was crashing. but it had been four miles without water and the aid station was still two miles a way so i slowed to not over exert myself. stopped at all aid stations. took three gus, noncaffeine of cours at 3 , 7 and 11 miles. powerade at mile 16 was helpful. we got hit by sprinklers in cedar hills. fun. helped cool us a bit. really enjoyed tbis run was in second when i dropped out. gai.i.g on first place girl i never saw coming down at halfway. too dark to tell. wore my head lamp the entire time. tripped on way up three times on stripes,in road that were really cement slbs pai.ted yellow. iced in river x 10 minutes. kelli came down at 9 minutes after me. waited for half fast women to come down then headed to finish. watched two soccer games. the. finally ate breakfast at 1pm. i am thi.king my time would have been a 3:30. i saw the girl after me, second overall come through where i stopped about 4 minutes after me. she ran 3:34. |

| my body is govong up on me. my pelvis and left hil is tight tjat i walk uneven. tried to run. felt so,imbalanced. ran to track. jog team there. warmed up one lap. ran 200 x 8....maybe 9. 41 to 42...one in 43 secs. felt like my ligaments and pelvis were goi.g to come aprt. so frustrating. i cant imagine ever having a cure. tbis pai. is wearing me to the bottom. what am i to do? went to simulation class from 9 to 12. picked up troy and b and a at walmart. the. went out with courtney to get a sbirt and onnet for trek. di sbirt, neivhbor bonnet. |
