| loss 6 to 0 to sparta last nightwindy and unorganized as a team. amber had a good shot. so close. this am we were tied 1 to 1 and sadly they scored easily when oir keeper came way out of goal. welll this made it so i had to go thru with my appt since we dont move to semis. cast placed at five pm. |

20 min cycling. instructor nervous i would get hurt so was not allowed to stand. evil eye if i tried. then cybex trainer x 20 minutes. then upper body light weigbts....5 pounds two dets then 10 pounds for bench. dont want to be too sore. lower body......machines....whatever ones i could with a cast. three sets of 10 to 15. cast is getting old. yup. courtney at soccer tryouts. did mile in 8:24. :-) wheezing amd coughing. allergy to running. then took amber brooke and brooke to reservoir. wish cast was waterproof.

| same route as yesterday....the five miler. cuts to manila then west and right up to kims and over and up and back to manila and home quickest way. ends at fire hydrant at 1500 and almost 990 west. ap slow. 8:44. heel very unhappy and was all day til i took a 1/2 pain pill and two hoirs later two motrin. suddenly could walk on it. i think due to cast my foot is very out of shape. maybe it wil mellow out now. got my new nike flyknit lunar 1. ahhhhhhh! except tongue of left foot is defective and not long enough. hopefully i get a pair soon to trade when i cqll tmr. |

| lots of tingly mixed with sharp nerve pains to heel and thru ankle on rivht foot. but pain a lot less when i awoke however ankle joints very stiff and tendons tight. weird. getting old for sure. wish it werent so. ap 8:44. |

| Worked all day. busy. in a lot of sciatic pain and shooting pains to rivht doot along with burning pain in spine and occiput. came home to troy with droopy eyelid and loss of vision. brooke woke me up at 130 am sat morninv with stomach ache vomited four times. |

| no sleep. vomiting child all night. de ided to run the marathon despite no traono.g and injiry since i paid for it months ago as part of the slam. drove to park city at 0450 and got ther just becor six. ran easy whole time but body felt lack of trai.ing T mile 13. slowed the three uphill miles due to immense nerve pains tbrough pelvis. just inched my way to finish line. ap 8:28. 3:41. first 40 to 44 year old. 11 th overall female. |

| decided to try swimming. swam three times across and back on manila pond i. o ercast rainy weather. could feel a pull in right shoulder from when troy pulled it after a soccer tournament ru. through. really was nice though to have water block pain signals mostly til i got out. 35:53 with four one minute stops.byu womens soccer game with brooke and troy. courtney with friends and amber at soccer party with team. |

| Pain a lot less enough to try a run. Pain meds helping. Only 1/2 tab yesterday. Ran the five mile loop....8:38 ap. First mile 9:26 and last mile 7:36. Sam and katys wedding day. Brooke soccer game in slc. Ambers hurt in her game. Knee. Able to go on later when score was 14 to 0. Luncheon and reception so lovely. Katy is a princess. On way back from temple legs throbbing then sciatica again pretty bad. Right butt. Waiting for sam and katy to cut the cake. |

| Just had to get my aching arthritic legs and feet going. Treadmi...first time in montj. Ran 3 miles warmup 8:34 to 8:57 with brief pick up at end to feel pace. Plan to do treadmill three mile time trial. 6:49, 6:40 and 6:31 pace. A little quicler then set pace dor first mile but a little slower than written for third. No incline but 1 % for warmup. So worried about my foot that i was jist glad to complete it. Time was 19:56. Ap 6:39. |

| I dropped off brooke and her crew at jr high then drove to moith of canyon ahhhh love the smel of the canyon trees. Ran four up easy 9:15 ap. Lol. Then walked around loking for water for about four minutes then not finding any at bathroom there i just took off. My foot didnt like the slant on way up. Lot of pressure on panterior tibialis muscle. But once i turned around i felt great for two miles then mybck began to tense up probableyfrom the downhill and i lost focus and steam...out of shape but happy i managed a 6:27 ap down. I then iced in river and then swam in pond. Then had a reaction to exercise or the pink benadryll....i started itching like crazy as soon as i got home. Worried it was swimmers itch so called city but i think it was a crosss reaction between benadryl and the 1/2 lortab i took yesterday at two different times....lortab at 5 and bendryl at 9 pm. Never took that brand of benadryl.....oh i also took my dhea just before taking odf to run. It could just be exercise induced a long with pond scum. Ha ha. 8 @ 7:51. |

| Met a nice 10 person group at provo canyon and drove up to begin of hope to hobble. Last time i ran this was 2010....when i preftty much was toast. But today i jist came along after reading on neasts blog a post from josse. Decided it would be rejubenating and a nice challenge but okayto just run real easy. Rachelle was there and we ran 6 miles together. I naturally kept running easy but some reason rachelle did not stay with me. She may habe wanted to jist stay with julia. Idk. So i kept running and passed the other four group and somehow caight up with jpsse cam and melanie while they stopped around mile 9. I had found a water stop at 8 they did not. I also grabbed four chomps. I jist casually jogged along. I could not stay with tje group after that cause my pelvis and ankle was in some arthritic burning pain...symphysis pubis mostly. When we reached the top at 11.3 i really was in a lot of bone pain and needed ibuprofen but noone had any. I was so scaredof falling on the downhill so i just went real slow. I had peaks and valleys with the pain. I kept praying to God to protect me and not let me fall and the voice came to me to just run easy and i wouldnt fall so i did just that and at times the pai. In my pelvis was less . At 21 miles a guy who passed all of us and not one of our original grpup drove up to me from the finish and gave me some motrin. It kicked in on the drive home. I stopped at all the water stations planted by sojoirners...five i foind. One i actually just passed by. One water i could not get open because i broke the plastic cap and eventually after two minutes hit the jig on a ro k several times to get it off. Ap without stops....9:30. 3:33 . Total real time 3:53 for what garmins read aroind me(i wore my stop watch cause i didnt wamt to fo us on my watch amd pace as it messes with my head) was 22.35 miles. Hawk says the course is 23 to 24. Who knows. Lots of elwvation gain and steep rocky loss. I my nikes were unstable so could never pick it up on the downbhill. Did not wamt to bif it. Josse did right in front of me and that was enough of a reminder and she was on an easier patch . ...... . Later i learned rachelle fell hard and hit her head and blacked oit. So sad ro hear this. Reminds me of when i ram this with kim and0 melanie i. 2009. Kim fell badly twice and cirsed this route and vowed ro never run ot agaom and she hasnt. I have now run ot foir times. 2008, 2009,2010 And 2013. Also ran part of it woth squaw peak 50 2010. |
