I retired from the Army after 26 years of service in 2010. I moved home to Arizona. My wife and I are empty nesters. In 2016 I had stents placed in my heart after discovering coronary artery disease. Since early 2016 I have lost 30 lbs and got in much better shape. August 2017 I retired again. We served a mission to Mexico from October 2017 until April 2019.
total time 37:10. After a 10 minute warm-up I ran 1 minute hard 2 minute recovery. I discovered at the turn around that I had had the wind at my back for the first 2 miles and it was stiffer than I realized. aplits 9:20, 8:48, 9:29, 9:33.
total time 37:36. the wind was a problem again. I thought I was going to gradually speed up each mile from start to finish but the wind took it out of me. splits 9:28, 9:11, 9:30, 9:27
total time 47:44. splits 9:10, 9:12, 9:28, 9:28, 10:26. I was really sore so I stretched alot. Didn't realize that I was going faster than usual til I got to the first mile.. The run went down hill from there.
