8:00. It's going to be hard to fit running into my schedule but I know I have time for one or two miles a day. My schedule is also exhausting. My goal this semester is too not overexercise. I exercised way too much last year. My goal is to do 3 a day because my job is too active to do more than that.

I don't hate running but my life has been way better since doing less. I already have a very active lifestyle and running just adds more unnecessary stress and fatigue. Running is good for you but not if you are already moving a lot. I haven't felt this good since I was a little kid. I have less anxiety, procrastination, fatigue, brain fog, sadness, irritability, mood swings, and pain. I have more quality sleep, energy, focus, motivation, and an overall increase in satisfaction of life. I think running one mile a day won't hurt, but running more than 3 is not ideal.

24:29. I can tell my running performance is going down. I'm not too motivated to run consistently because I am working 30 hours and taking 10 credits. I rarely get to sit at work and I also lift weights about 3 hours a week. I really don't have energy to run every day right now.

2 in 16:30. Then did .5 with the kids in 5:20. I felt very stressed and depressed today. I didn't have work and I realized that the only time I get this sad is when I have no babies to take care of. I just want a baby and nothing else. Every time I have a break from kids I get depressed like this. I need to learn to stay positive, but I don't think I was made to be alone. I wish I could be a mom now. I am glad that running helped though. Next time I get sad I need to just run a couple miles before loafing around all day.

8:24. My goal is to get to 8:00 pace on the hilly course to feel easy. Around 8:40 pace first thing in the morning feels right. My goal is to get as fast as I can without burnout.

Around 16:00. First mile was 8:23 (on the hill course). At 1.5 I was at 12:17, but I think I accidentally paused it for almost a minute. This pace felt like 14:00 for 2 miles. I am still on the fence if I want to train for longer distances one day or if I should choose a completely new sport. If I want to be faster I would have to be thinner. I would rather not do that because I have more of a gymnast body and feel better not having a runner's body. I will put in the work to be a fit runner without overtraining and will see what kind of sport works best.

16:42. I did 2 because I have no work today. The first mile was 8:37(on the hill course). It was hotter and it felt like 14:00 for 2 miles. Heart rate was about 168 on the easy parts and 180 on the hills. This is way too high for this kind of pace. I will have to be patient.

8:31 on the hill course. I really need to use a measuring wheel because Google maps says that this course is about 708 feet too much!If Google maps is correct that will make me very happy. I've measured this mile at least 10 times and Google maps says something different almost every time.

1 mile with Gideon! I am so proud of him that he did his first mile only stopping twice! He did 4:20 and 4:42! I did one more in 8:16. I am grateful for my health and for still having energy after working 10 hours.

Even though I exercised way more than this, I will just count it as one. I worked 9 hours and then went to Provo to play with foster kids. I ran around the whole time basically. Joints hurt too much to run. Maybe I should get a nice watch to better approximate how much running and distance I do on an average day. Maybe not though, it's probably expensive.

17:43. I took quite a few breaks. Need to be careful not to get burnt out. I had a really incredible experience meeting up with a sweet couple that didn't know what to do about their unplanned pregnancy. They were happy for the support we gave from Pro Life Utah. Around 17:20. I felt unmotivated for life but forcing myself to run was the best cure. I need to remember days like this. When I have no desire to work hard or get things done, I must go on a run no matter what. Even if it is a 100 meter run. Just get something done and stop feeling sorry for yourself.

1 in 8:50 and after a short break did 1 in 8:51. I think if I didn't work I would be totally running 6 miles a day or at least way faster. I need to stop telling myself I am lazy just because I am running less. I always wonder if it is ever possible to balance energy for exercise and life. Like Elder Bednar said, "There's no such thing as balance". I guess I shouldn't strive for balance because it doesn't exist.

23:00. Google maps said it was 2.9 miles, but it's close enough for now. Ran this with Taylor! He is stronger than me and I have to ask him to slow down. He loves the gospel more than any boy I've met. I should take him to the track and see how fast he can do a mile.

I felt very tired after the run and didn't get to rest because I had to work 10 hours. Probably need more electrolytes and sleep. I was out of breath most of the day and oftentimes dizzy. I can run a lot as long as I take care of myself.

23:31 with Taylor. I asked if he was planning on going to college ever. He said he was not. I told him knowledge is power and God is truth. He said he is grateful for my advice and is reconsidering. I hope he takes it and goes to college. I also gave him the scripture D&C 58:26-29. We need to trust the Lord but also be anxiously engaged in good works by our own free will. We shouldn't wait to be commanded in all things.

I felt much better today and my heart didn't feel weird at all. I think I was right and just needed sleep and keep electrolytes more balanced. Still worked extremely hard and was sore from moving things but I think running 3 every morning is going to be just fine.

O.9 miles in around 8:00 pace. After a surge in 13.25 Taylor and I ran a mile around the track. He got 6:17. I am much slower and I didn't do my best, but at least I found a nice boy who is faster than me! He passed the test in jeans, which probably slowed him down. We ran 0.7 more in around 8:45 pace. My lungs hurt.

One to the track in around 8:15. Taylor and I ran a mile on the track. I am so grateful that I get to run with him. He got 5:50! The first half was 3:05 for him. I got about 6:27. My first half was 3:07, when I fell behind him. I got distracted watching him kick to get his time so I didn't kick fast enough. I didn't do my best and wanted to get a better workout so we did a lap in 79 together. We then walked home.

23:56 with Taylor and Davis. Today was interesting. The whole morning I went to SLC with Taylor and we stood outside of Planned Parenthood and handed out gift bags. Pro-Life Utah has a mobile clinic and we give free ultrasounds right outside the abortion clinic. No babies saved today, but we had lots of conversations with the other volunteers about religion. It is just crazy to me that abortions are still allowed and that most latter-day saints don't do a lot to help save babies.

Also, before my run I went on a date at the pond with a guy I met at the car repair shop. Literally 10 minutes after the date I ran around the same pond with a different boy. Just thought it was funny I was with two boys who have a crush on me in the same place.

Went to planned parenthood again to offer resources to pregnant women. One very angry woman cursed and yelled at us as she went into the building. When she came out awhile later she was recording us, saying cruel things, and trying to act like we were breaking the law. We weren't. I hope I find myself on YouTube one day. I can only pray that they will feel the guilt of their sins, "They know not what they do."

22:44 with Taylor. This morning we went to the sidewalks of planned parenthood again. It is the last day of being a sidewalk advocate until winter break probably. There were lots of angry people as always. A car that was passing by rolled down it's window and a girl yelled out telling us to go home and other cruel things. I handed a women a business card and she kindly said thank you. I then watched her walk about 20 ft away and she began ripping it apart with her mouth and spitting on the ground. She then looked back and flipped us off. I got flipped off only 3 times today. These type of encounters happened about 4 times each day and it really shows that Satan is not happy with us being out there.

Taylor and I ran to the track in 6:11 (about 3/4 mile). We didn't start at the mile, we accidentally just did the 1600 meters. He got 6:00, with 3:05 for the first half. I got 6:27 again with 3:07 for the first half. I think we were just hot. We ran home at 8 minute pace. I think I will run faster if he gets his own watch so I can focus more.

23:28. Taylor and I went to the canyon after volunteering together. I am extremely blessed to run with him everyday!

1 mile in around 8 min pace. Taylor tried to do 800m but just did 400 meters in about 70 seconds. After a long rest he tried for the 800 again and got 2:42. He needs to buy a watch.

I did 3 laps with a long rest in between each. I got 81, 77, and 80. This workout tells me that I really need to focus more. I forget to push when my muscles start to give out. I am not used to going into the anaerobic zone. Once I retrain myself to be more long suffering I think my mile time will get much faster.
