I had the day-off today because of too many vacation hours so I decided to do a medium long run.  I ran 14.52 miles at a 7:05 pace in 1:43.  I never went over two miles away from my house to do this run.  I weaved in and out of close streets just for something different.    I left about 7:30am  for the run at around 29 degrees.  The bottom of my right foot started hurting on the last mile almost causing me to limp.  I'll probably take tomorrow off because of this.

I went to Home Depot after the run and bought a replacement entrance lock for one of our outside entrance doors.  Didn't take long to install it.

This morning I started running way later than normal on purpose so that I wouldn't run that much on my foot that hurt a little bit after yesterday's run.  I had to be at work at a certain time today so I knew if I started later running I wouldn't over-do it on my foot.  I was going to take the day-off, but I felt guility if I would have.  Ribs are still real sore and wasn't really able to sleep last night at all.  They hurt when I would roll over, or just laying there.  My friend at work who used to be a nurse thinks I cracked a rib.

I didn't check the temperature today but it really wasn't that cold.   I ran 8.5 miles at an overall 6:59 pace in 59:20 minutes.  I did the last few miles splits faster to end the run (t:46, 6:51, 6:46, 6:38,6:40).  Just another run, which really wasn't exciting.

Rather than just enjoying running right now it's becoming almost depressing at times, because I feel like I have to run no matter what, and it's starting to affect my life.  I need to somehow find a balance or I'm going to be unstable and I don't want that.  I feel I need to stay fit no matter what, and no matter what it costs.  Just keep me in your prayer's.  I wish I would take my own advice that I give others.

Work and family is going great and that makes me happy, it's just my mindset is on running a lot more than I want it to be.

Didn't sleep much last night because my ribs were hurting, but this morning I was able to reach over my head so I know it's healing.  I rubbed some MyoMed on them and slept with a heat pad wrapped around the rib.  That really seemed to help this morning even though I had pain when I would move around in the bed.  (I'm just a whiner and cry baby) :-)

Today the temperature was 35 degrees with a little bit of wind.  I had no idea the distance I was going to run today, but I wanted an easy run no matter what.   I ran 11.54 miles at an overall 7:16 pace in 1:23.  My right foot hurt the last 5 miles so I picked up the last two miles just to get home (6:10, 6:42).  The breathing with my ribs today was a lot better.

My body is falling apart, Oh well such is life.

Last night I got a little better sleep with the ribs still hurting, but I seemed to adjust better last night.  I believe their getting better I can breathe a lot deeper today, and the bending down doesn't hurt as bad.  That's good news!

The temperature was 22 degrees when I started running this morning with a mild wind.  It rained last night so it was so slick on the roads that you just couldn't keep a decent pace.  It was like baby oil on an ice skating ring.  Although, my body was dead and I won't have been able to run that fast anyway.  My legs were just tired today and I was unmotivated.   My foot only hurt a little today so that was good.  I ran 10.31 miles at an overall 7:22 pace in 1:16 down highway 30 an over the overpass and down yellowstone and back home.

Another run down yepee!  I'm excited!

My ribs seem to be on the amend and I was able to get some decent sleep last night.  I've really felt dead all week and I think it's just the lack of sleep and attitude towards running.  The temperature was around 16 degrees this morning, but with the wind it made it around 11 degrees.

I tried to do some faster miles in the wind, but it made my forehead cold, because I didn't have the right running apparel on today (everything in the washer).  I had to back-off the pace because my forehead got so cold that it would give me a headache like when you eat ice cream too fast.

I ran 10.34 miles at an overall 7:04 pace in 1:13.  Faster miles were (6:36, 6:42, 6:52, 6:45).  Busy day with a couple meetings.  I'm not going to do a long run tomorrow.   I will only do around 10 miles, because I don't really want to do any higher mileage this week.

Slept in today until 9am because I stayed up late to watch a movie with the family.   When I got started after 9am the temperature was still only 21 degrees with the sun out.   Really wasn't that cold even from the beginning.  I ran 15.21 miles at an overall 6:56 pace in 1:45.  I did 7 miles between a 6:4ish and 6:10ish pace.  I did the hilly Olympus rd loop, down Poline Rd,  Yellowstone Rd., Chubbuck Rd., then Booth Rd., then  down Fairway Rd..

The run was really boring by myself but I ran by lots of traffic to keep me motivated.  I was only going to do 10 miles today, but I got into the run and was quite a ways from home after 10 miles so it just got extended.   I'm going to my office today to put some pictures up and a corkboard.

Ran 7.23 miles at an overall 6:46 pace in  48:56.  Ribs bothered me all night last night.  I sure I'm going to pay for running this run as fast as I did with the Ribs still not quite healed yet.  Warm-up and wanted to run faster because I didn't have much time before church.  Last 6 miles I ran (6:54, 6:36, 6:35, 6:33, 6:39, 6:19).

NO RUNNING TOMORROW.  I need a break, and I took the day-off because of too many vacation hours.

Ran for the first time today after working till 3am on Tuesday night.  I got up at 9am and started my run at 9:30am.  With two days off the legs felt fresh.  I ran 7.03 at an overall 6:54 pace in 48:32 minutes.

It was nice to have the two days off.  I'm going to take the whole week off during Christmas from running to just enjoy the mornings with the family and sleep in and get fat.

This morning it was 13 degrees but I got out there anyway.  Roads were clear but the wind wasn't fun.  I did my standard Satterfield Hill loop.  I ran 11.21 miles at an overall 7:02 pace in 1:19.  Did faster miles towards the end (6:38, 6:46, 6:28, 6:46, 6:33).

I haven't got much sleep lately because work has been crazy and I'm starting to feel the affect a bit.  But tonight watching football should revive me.

This morning I was very tired waking up because of the long hours at work.  It makes running hard when your trying to focus on your job so much.  Anyway, the temperature was 17 degrees with not much wind.  What was interesting about this run at mile 5 I felt a wet feeling in the bottom of my toes, and my left heel kind of hurt periodically through the run.  When I got done running my sock and shoe were covered in blood as well as my toes.  I had a deep cut on the side of my toe next to the big toe.   I've never see so much blood on a sock or on my toes before.  Anyway I wrapped it up and hopefully can run tomorrow.

I ran 10.12 miles at an overall 7:11 pace in 1:12.  I picked up the last two miles and they were very hard to run at that pace today.  (6:40, 6:13).  Just a run today very boring, not really fun, didn't want to run etc.  Hopefully my attitude about that will change.

This morning it was 0 degrees outside so I knew it would be a UnderArmour cold gear day.  I got up way late at 7am and had a meeting at 9pm so I couldn't run very much.  I'm having some injury issue so it was good that I didn't run my normal distance.  My left heel is hurting the lateral collateral ligament  is kind of swellen and red behind my knee and it hurts to walk and run.  I'm not sure what to do about this.  My ribs are about 80%, and my hip is feeling much better from the fall on Saturday.

Anyway, I ran 5.4 miles at an overall 7:11 pace in 38:33 minutes.  My body is definitely the worst I can ever remember as far as all these issues.  I might just stick with 5 miles all week.

Didn't get a lot of sleep last night because of a problem at work (5 hours of sleep).  When I got ready to run the temperature was 13 degrees.  I was little concerned before running because of my heel hurting, and didn't know if running would make the discomfort worse.  On the run today I basically limped the last 6 miles home in pain.  The pain is on the back of my heel and side of my heel.  I believe I'm going to have to schedule a visit to the doctor, because I can't even walk now without hurting

 8.01 miles at a miserable 7:59 pace in 1:03.

Did 3.5 miles on the arc trainer and did some core exercises.  Foot/heel very sore and hurting.  I had my friend Chiropractor look at it and he said it's not PF.  He thinks it's a ligament being stretched or a stress fracture.  I'm going to go to my chiropractor tomorrow and have x-rays done.

I did 4.3 miles on the Arc Trainer this morning at the gym.   Last night I had a running buddy and chiropractor do a adjustment on my foot and also a Ultrasound treatment on my foot to detect a stress fracture.  The treatment didn't recognize that I had a stress fracture, but the Chiropractor believes I've stretched my Calcaneofibular Ligament.  I don't know for sure if that's the issue.  I need to just get X-rays.  If I stretched the ligament than its going to take time to heal.

He did give me a Stressburg sock for free to see if that fixes the problem.  But than again that's probably not the issue.

Lunch:

Did my standard sit-ups and push-ups.   My heel is hurting worse now than it ever has.  Bascially the pain seems to be on the side of my heel not the bottom, but on both sides of it.  I thinks that's where the ligaments might be over-stressed.  Who knows until I have it checked.

I'm thinking of just taking a whole month off for running.

Did 6.2 miles on the arc trainer in 65 minutes, then I wanted to see if I could run at least a 1 mile on the treadmill since the impact is softer.  I was in pain the whole 1.3 mile that I did.  My foot hurt all last night walking around dozens of stores doing Christmas Shopping.  The pain has seemed to get worse.  I'm done running and using the Arc trainer until I figure out what's going on.

I'm going to see my Chiropractor who's going to take X-Rays on my foot today at 11:30am to see what the problem is.
