I ran @ 9 a.m. @ the gym w/Alana, Curt and his running buddies. This is my first time to record any run, so I'm excited to use this new tool for the new year! I hadn't run 10 miles since September due to my IT-Ban giving me grief. I was nervous and it was hard at mile 8, but it was nice to have encouragement from friends out doing the same thing, each at our own level. My average speed was about 6.7 (no lower than 6.5 or higher than 7.0). I also learned (thanks Jeff) that I should have my incline on a treadmill no lower than 1.5. So I played with that today as well.
Over all, I will sleep well tonight!
| | only did power yoga today...ran out of time for my run. need to invest in a treadmill for home...possibly |
| | on the TM...not too bad, 44 minutes. Can't wait to be running outside some more! |
| | on TM before my good friend, Alana's, weight class early morning. 25 mintues |
| | At the gym on TM, played with the speed and the incline to 1.5 |

| | Outside. I needed to run a pace today. I did it under :) 1:09:36....so jazzed!! Felt amazing |
| | One of the toughest runs I've done. In snow almost the entire time....made it hard. However, the mist on face and snow covered trees and GREAT friend Alana to run part with made it worth while. Also took my first really cold soak (10 minutes w/sweatshirt on ) and feel like it helped :). Time - 2:41:03 | |
| | @ gym...snowing and blowing outside. It was a hard four (mentally) - very tired today. I set the pace at a 9:05 and kept it there with a finish of 36minutes |
| | Ran outside w/Lyndsi....it was GREAT! 1:11:30 - felt so good |
| | ran outside, nice weather, spring on its way! time was 1:12:56 - nice and easy |

| | Outside in the wind, yet it was warm! Thanks to Lyndsi to push me along, I finished 1:28:29. Jazzed I tell you, jazzed. 10 minute ice bath after did the trick! |
| | first run after being ill w/cold then sinus infection for over a week! Alana and I ran the cemetary up three and down three (end of Sunnyside). My i-t band began to pull and hurt the last mile...then it was fine after stretching. |
| | Let's see...went out early it was cold and a little windy. With Alana and I ran the first 5 w/out feeling my knee...then it hurt until mile seven when we stopped, stretched and took a gel. It was good for another mile then hurt. I ran in pain from mile 10-11 and had to stop at mile 11 and walk back to car (another mile) where I hurt. Not sure what the game plan is now....ice, cross train and try to rest the i-t band...I know that is what it is...grrrrrr.... | |
| | after more time off...ran 4 miles outside pain free!!! |
| | ran outside....no pain :) didn't even feel my i-t band :) 52minutes |

| |
WOW! Last long run and now into tapper. Ran with Shelley and Alisa this morning. My i-t band was naughty the last for and a half miles, but I stopped to stretch a lot and work it out. I feel great (properly hydrating helps I think!) Hard to say on time. I would stop my watch when I stretched... Shelley did not and she had four hours almost on the nose....that is with potty breaks etc. :)
| |

| | ran 3 EASY after school. from Taylorview to Firehouse grill for a beer :) Ran it w/fellow teacher that holds a steady 10 minute mile. It was good to chat and catch up though! |
| |
mmm. as I look back on the past two months...there is no way you would guess that I am training for (and have) and marathon this coming Saturday. Not exactly sure what happened (many things) and now am nervous that I am not ready. Goal is to put in more weekly runs this summer. 3 more weeks left of school...I can do this.
Can't remember time, but average pace for the 8 this beautiful morning was 9:02...so we'll see how sat goes. no use in boo-hoo'ing over the past. just looking forward to the future!!
| | outside w/some wind. BEST time ever. 31:43....yup...7:55 pace - felt like I was going to explode the last push - but my runner high is amazing :) | |
| | after school in the wind...now rest rest for Ogden Marathon on Saturday...should be Epic :) |

Ogden Marathon (26.2 Miles) 04:25:46, Place in age division: 905
First 16 miles I was so strong..no pain and averaged a 9:05 pace. Started feeling ill to stomach, finally at 18 I gelled and dry heaved....that was pleasant. The hills were killing my leg, shooting pain in the i-t band area. Finally, the last five miles were tears, hobble/walk to the finish (most important) I did finish. What a crazy day of emotions, pain and joy :) Even though I swore I would never run another marathon...I'm looking at flat ones for this fall already! Weather was terrific, beautiful view and awesome aide stations everywhere!!
| | Was able to run my first run since the marathon. Ran w/Alana six miles (wind of course) didn't feel the i-t band until mile five-ish. I have iced and rolled. Feel it now walking around, but not in pain at all. Think I will keep miles between 4-6 for the week and go from there. Ice and roll...ice and roll....cross train now. Gotta get this core into shape!! Time was 54:52 |
| | Beautiful day to run from my house loop Freeman Park and then back for a 4 mile run. 8:57 pace and my entire body felt good - sore from YOGA yesterday, but a good-I-feel-my-muscles-good-way! |
| | So excited to be running again! 5:30 this morning - 44 degrees - perfectly beautiful run. I didn't have my usual cup of coffee or banana and I felt it! My body was out of steam by the end of six - but still an amazing morning. 55:56 time | |
| | Today on my lunch break from a class I have been taking I ran four. It was BEAUTIFUL 65 degrees. 34:56 - other than a bit hot, body is feeling well! |
| | It was so nice to run with Alana this afternoon! We forget that running in the afternoon when it is warmer is different :) But overall I was excited to not feel my knee/leg at all! Thinking that Long Beach Marathon may be in the future...we'll see! Time was....1:15:47 freeman twice, around river to pan and then strong finish up grandview hill |
| | ran with lyndsi and shelley! what a great morning to chat away! 34:28 time, felt great! |
| |
Nice 34:02 run - felt great
| | First 7 miles were with cloud coverage...nice...the next two were in the heat...I struggled but finished strong at the house at 9 miles can't remember the time but pace was 9:18....THEN, Emma wanted to run a mile so I joined up with her to run to Granny O's house. Emma ran a mile in 12 minutes. She would walk break to take a drink and then continue to run. So proud of her. Her goal is to run the 5K on July 4th. Great run day! |
| | So blessed with a beautiful morning! 33:46 around freeman and back home! Greeted with a cup of coffee ~ life is good! | |

| | left the house @5:00 perfect morning - cloudy, 60degrees @mile 2 I took my long sleeve off and ran in sport bra -all for 'free'dom day :) Ran a comfortable (amazingly enough) 8:32 average pace for the run 1:33:52 - did feel my i-t band...but I hadn't run in a few day or stretched...I was a lazy camper with a lot of walking and again no stretching. I should be good though | |

| | At the track w/Jeremy Smith. We jogged a nice easy 5 laps (mile 1/4) then ran a fast 800 in 3:30 then a nice jog for a lap then repeat another 800 in 3:30. Long Beach Marathon (26.2 Miles) 04:39:34 | | Started back with the marathon walkers and those wanted to finish between 5-6 hours. At the gym - keeping miles low. Seems like everytime I reach 5 or 6 miles my IT Band begins to tighten and pull....sharp pain that makes me stop. |
Brooks Ghost 4 Miles: 4.00 |
|
| | on the TM at gym - quick pace :) felt great to just run a fast and short run!! |
Brooks Ghost 4 Miles: 3.00 |
|
| | Ran outside - beautiful perfect afternoon temp of 25 degrees. I felt the outside of my knee at around 4 1/2 miles. Glad to see I was close to home. |
Brooks Ghost 4 Miles: 5.00 |
|
| | On the TM...ran 3 then had to get off and stretch out my IT Band...got back on - was fine for another mile then ran the last mile really feeling the outside of my knee pull tight. Think I will take a full 14 days off from running. I will go spinning and yoga to really work on my core strengh and trim down a few pounds as well. Hopefully I can start running strong...if not stronger again! |
