TRIED TO DO A TEMPO RUN, MY GOAL WAS 10 MILES BUT I HAD TO CUT IT OFF AT NINE MILES TO GET HOME SO I COULD GET THE KIDS TO SCHOOL. FELT GOOD FOR THE FIRST 5 OR 6 MILES AND THEN LOST A LITTLE BIT AT THE END. AVERAGED ABOUT AN 8:43 in 1:18:43, I NEED TO GET FASTER, I FEEL GOOD NOW THAT I HAVE HAD TIME TO REST AND RECOVER.

I did hill work today, it was hard. I was able to beat my 10k race time by 5 minutes. completed the run in 52:12 which is good, but I need to work on my speed. best pace for a mile was 7:00 average mile pace was 8:23.

Long run; 3:11:26, did lots of hills, more up than down. Had some sorness in my toes when I was done, almost like they were stiff. They feel better now, being Sunday.

I took it easy today, did 3 miles at a faster pace than what I usually do. Did a 2 mile cool down at the end to complete the 8 miles. Time was 1:10:08.

I did a recovery run of 5 miles, no hills. After my run I did upper body strength training for about 30 minutes.
