Long run; 3:11:26, did lots of hills, more up than down. Had some sorness in my toes when I was done, almost like they were stiff. They feel better now, being Sunday.

Clay:
With your daily mileage, 20 miles is probably too long for your long run. I would keep it down to 15.
Regarding your question on the marathon pace. Predicting the correct marathon pace is an art. You should rely to a great extent on how you feel. For myself, I pick the fastest pace at which I can maintain some form of conversation without feeling uncomfortable. I also pay attention to the feeling in the legs - they should be working, but not strained.
Do not worry too much about trying to even or negative split. You will probably be 10 minutes slower on the second half no matter what you do unless you really underperform on your first half.
