Long-Term Running Goals: Run a 5k under 18:00 Personal: Have been active my whole life, but turned my focus to running in 2006 after deciding to run a marathon. I really enjoy the training aspect and staying healthy, but mileage has been on the decline over the past 3 years due to work commitments, so focus has turned away from races and more on just staying fit enough to still enjoy getting out. | AM Did my Dutch Fields loop....haven't been out there in awhile. I've started using a HRM again just to make sure I'm keeping things @ Jack Daniels suggested bpm. August is all about bumping up mileage to improve my cardio so I've gotta keep things slow enough to easily recover. I'll throw in a few faster things to mix it up of course: ) 4.75, no watch |

| AM Went out for a cruise on the farm rds. 5.5,no watch NOON Ran a loop with Lacy and Griffin at Dutch Hollow. Lacy and I just took it slow and let Griffin tear the place up! I wore my HRM to keep my HR at the 140 level which wasn't hard considering I had just gone for a run 3 hrs earlier and it was pretty hot out. 2.25, no watch |

I'm guessing on mileage, but seems about right. did a little loop, then down 3rd ave to Canyon Rd and up city Creek for a little bit before heading back. | AM Ran around the cemetery a bit to warm up, then took Virginia St down to south temple and zigzagged between South Temple and 1st Ave sprinting the uphill and joggin the flat and down. Did this for 11 blocks, then went up to the 3rd ave and back to where I'm staying. Was a fun workout. 5 w/ 11 short hills. |

Ran another direction on som backwoods rd. Yesterday was a long day celebrating with family, so was feelin prett slow today. Decided to combine some strength in the mix, so did 10 push ups every 5 minutes for 40:00. Kept it interesting. Beautiful sunrise in the monring.
