Long-Term Running Goals: Run a 5k under 18:00 Personal: Have been active my whole life, but turned my focus to running in 2006 after deciding to run a marathon. I really enjoy the training aspect and staying healthy, but mileage has been on the decline over the past 3 years due to work commitments, so focus has turned away from races and more on just staying fit enough to still enjoy getting out. So much goin on with moving and work plus I haven't been sleeping well so I took this week off. Hopefully didn't kill my fitness too much. Felt ok today, just cruised up to Sugarhouse park for a couple laps, then some drills at Fairmont.
4.6 then did butt kicks, high knees, bounding, jump squats & burpees w/ a stride between each at the end.

Tried out my new A5's today. They feel light and super peppy. Kinda snug in the toebox, so no long distances or hilly runs, but great for flat and fast. Ran to liberty park for some :30 repeats with walk breaks.

Took highland to Wasatch Cemetery, nice and quiet. Then took 2700S to 1700E to 2100S and back home. Pretty sweet loop....probably my favorite run in the valley so far.

Tried out the Bonneville Shoreline from Emigration trailhead. I think my HR maxed about .25 miles into cuz it was steep! Next time I'm gonna try from the U of U trailhead. Seems like less agressive of a start.
