Long-Term Running Goals: Run a 5k under 18:00 Personal: Have been active my whole life, but turned my focus to running in 2006 after deciding to run a marathon. I really enjoy the training aspect and staying healthy, but mileage has been on the decline over the past 3 years due to work commitments, so focus has turned away from races and more on just staying fit enough to still enjoy getting out. | AM Ran to the river trail then slipped on some Micro-Spikes a friend at work let me borrow and ran on the packed down snow. Pretty awesome being out in the snowy fields along the river. The spikes are pretty sweet, a little heavy, but really good traction in the snow. Overall I think I'd rather just ski and save the running for the roads/dirt/track. 3.5, no watch

| AM Rna the Park City Running with Ed relay today. My company put entered 12 teams, 1 for each department, and made it a company contest. The winning team received a free pair of shoes, so I was totally down! 1 mile warm up with Griffin, then off to Park City for the race. the race was pretty uneventful considering my team had a ~3:00 lead after the first leg which grew to 35:00 by the time we finished. In other words and we won! My legs of the race were 4 & 9 which both have pretty gnarly climbs and descents, but I held up well after only running about 35 miles per week over the past 2 months. Super fun day and great party scene at the end. |

| 3 AM legs 19 & 20 - 10.5 miles These legs were so good! Started at East Canyon res and climbed 660 feet over 3.6 miles, then 5.5 downhill and I felt great. Kept thinkin about Ben True in a video I had watched a few days earlier and tried to mimick that form. When I reached the exchange my van had just showed up so the next guy wasn't ready yet, so I took off for a bonus mile and had them find me so we could exchange. I didn't mind cuz I was feelin good!
