| This run was tough the whole time. Upper body is way sore and a tight and I am beat from the last weekof school! Same 10 as last week to compare how I am doing. I was slower going out, but surprisingly hung on at the end even though it go way hot. Ran a couple seconds faster than last week. 7:19 ave and last mile in 6:18. According to the weather it was supposed to be 60 degrees at 9:00am when I finished, but it was 73 degrees when I finished instead. This run kicked my butt, but I am glad to get it under the belt.

| Ran up Timp via Timponooke and back in 3:24:55. 1:56:11 to the summit. We had me, Greg, Chris, and 8 boys (Adam, Tanner, Levi, Peter, Hunter, Bracken, Taylor, and Austyn). The boys and Chris were about 10-12 min faster than I was. It was nice weather but a freezing cold wind on top! My legs were so sore yesterday from Nebo on Friday and still sore today before we started so I was glad I made it ok.
We hit a deer on the Corridor heading there going about 60 MPH, glad Greg's car held up as good as it did. I feel bad about the amount of damage though. Crazy day!

| Ran with Greg down to Monarch the long way. Chris and the boys started behind us and never caught us. Greg was hurting and I dropped him for good about 7.5. The knee was stiff and at first I couldn't get going, but it loosened up. Didn't feel the foot a lot, but it was bugging a bit. I have spent the last 3 nights digging into my quads, hammy, calf, and everything else in my left leg. When I roll out it feels better, but then gets stiff all over again. The first mile was 7:30 and then the miles around the Cove were in the 7s but the other 7 miles were below 7 min pace, 6:21 being the fastest. 1:07:48 for the run.

Drove up Butterfield about 4 miles and started in the dark. Ran down the canyon, along Bacchus down 11800 s to DayBreak lake, around the lake, down to 4000 wback to 11800 s to 2700 w, down to Redwood, and then 1.5 miles out and back on Redwood.
I had some magor stomach issues the whole time, except the last 3-4 miles. Stopped 9 times in potties, Tim's house and then everywhere I could find one. Most miserable 20 miler of my life. 7:31 ave.

| Legs are stiff and knee is way stiff! I got up at 5:00am and headed to Mona. Picked up Dad, Mom, and Josiah and heade up to Bear Canyon, Mom drove my car home. I started at 8:55 pace with Dad and Josiah took off. The next 3 miles got quicker, but I stayed with Dad still. stopped at 4 to go potty and caught Dad at the drink pant. Then I took off a bit and started going sub 7:00s to Nephi. In Nephi got a drink at the par and hit the north headwind going back to Mona. Felt ok considering being stiff and having a messed up knee. Finally saw Josiah by the wrecking yard and didn't catch him until after Burraston's hill. Stayed just under 8:00 pace going up and into the wind. Finished the run and then did an extra mile around town. 2:28:45 for the run, 7:26 ave
Josiah ran well, but opposite of me, he went fast and then died off. Dad did well too.

| Greg stayed over last night and we got up early to run. The plan was to run up the canyon with me and tag team with Chris and he would run down with me. Greg and I did the first mile together at 8:54 and the 2nd in 7:55 then I lost him until the Cove and he did the 4th with me and then fell off. He has been feeling tired and sick, so I kept pluggimg along. I actually felt ok today and the knee pain was minimal most of the time. I made it up the canyon and turned around at 1:19:00 and felt decent coming down. Chris ran from the mouth down to my house and we averaged 6:35 according to his watch. My total time was 2:24:41, my best in a couple of years as far as I can tell. I felt ok most of the time and did well with drinks and salt stick capsules. Had 8 miles under 6:40 with a 5:57 last mile. Greg and Chris were great to join me and help me out today and I appreciated the company. 7:14 ave for the run.

| Ran from Alta down the Wasatch Blvd with Greg. Beautiful day up top and the colors were amazing! We were slow (7:24) first mile because it takes me so long to get my injured knee moving, After that I progressed almost every mile until the last 2 miles. Last mile was 6:60 and my 7th was 5:30, 6:07 ave for the run. Got a blood blister on my lfet big toe and a blister on my right little toe form the Hokas being to narrow. Good run over all though and the weather was nice.

| Drove up Butterfield in the rain and parked at around the usual spot. Greg ran up and got my car and took it back to the mouth. I got really wet in the first 3 miles and then I don't remember after that. My first mile was 6:25 even being sore and my knee super stiff. I started to average 6:00 pace or bellow and tried to keep it up, but the last miles was 6:20 going up to the purple park and I ended up averaging 6:01, and 1:00:8 for the run. Happy with this run! | This might have been my toughest overall marathon in the end! My body is half broken and I have a torn left medial meniscus, just over 700 miles for the entire year, 3 weeks over 40 miles (the past 3), and zero races in 2016. This was the BIG 20 year for me though and I had to get it done. I figured and hoped to be able to run mid 2:40s this year on what I had, but my body hates me right now and I couldn't quite hold things together. My goal was to hit about 1:25 or a bit faster first half and then a 1:20 second half. I stayed controled the first half, but I was fatigued and didn't know how much I could push toward 6:00 pcae. I did run with Curtis Moore for a coupe miles before Veyo and Trevor Sharp came up on me at 12 and we ran about 4-5 miles together. Other than that I was on my own. Trevor ended up taking off and then at about 19 I could see him comin back, but then my overworked left calf started to fall apart. I had cramped last year in the last 2 miles and screwed my time up and was determined all year to not have it happen again, I was good at getting better drinks and electrolytes and training with them and was careful to use them, but my calf was still way bad. The right one started a bit, but the left one was bad. I even wore sleeves, which I think helped, but I had to really slow down still. The last 10k, with I have flown through in past years was some of the hardest 6 miles of my life, but with the Lord's help I made it through. I feel I could have went close to 2:45 without camping. I am not sure why the cramping? Either it was the Hoka Clifton (with I did cramp uop in last year), though I trained more in them, or the fact that my plantar and knee in my left leg are so jacked up that my calf was just done. I was almost emotional to cross the finish line at a slow trot. I have now become the youngest person to complete the St. George Marathon for 20 years! Now I have to try to get my knee rehabbed without having to get surgery, surgery is the last option for sure! Crazy that I have run that brutal course 20 times! I love it though and will be back to try again, hope next year!
