| Have been fighting vertigo, so running is difficult. Have finished 2 12-minute rows, 2 45-minute treadclimbs and 2 20-minute incline walks on the mill since my last run, so trying to keep the blood moving. Today's run was not good, but it was a run.

| Plus some uphill walking. Fought vertigo all week so not easy for working out. Have done some treadclimbing to keep the pipes clear though.

| Finally just about vertigo free! Just eased up slowly to 8:40 pace then kept it there and it felt so much better than anything for the past 2 weeks. Did have 2 strong treadclimb sessions over the weekend too.

| Slow 3 on the mill. Trying to get a few running not treadclimber miles. New shoes felt OK but a definite wear point on the outer ankle of my left foot. Will try thicker socks and monitor.

| Wu 1 mile, 4 x .1 mile 5% incline 7.5 mph, jog, 4 x .25 miles 7.7 mph, wd 1/2 mile. Disappointed my left leg gave out during the second quarter so had to dial back to 7.7 but was able to keep going at that speed. Will need to build turnover, bring ITB under control.

| Warm up for spin class. Made it all 40 minutes on the bike to my surprise.

| "Tempo." Sigh. 1 mile warmup, 4 x 100 strides, then 2 miles progressive ending at 7:47 pace. Felt way too hard. .75 wd.

| Yuck. This one was terrible. Bad ITB, felt dizzy, had to run hard at a slow pace etc etc. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Over the weekend did a good treadclimb for :45 on Saturday, rested Sunday.

| Slow wu for 1.75 mi, feeling off, then 8 x 1:00 fast w 1:00 recovery--started slow (7.5) but got up to 8.2 mph still feeling pretty strong, so progress. Short wd.

| "Tempo" run. Sigh. Ran 1.5 miles wu slow, then 1/2 mile at 7.6mph, 1/2 mile at 7.7 and .13 mile at 7.8 then had to back off. Ran a quarter recovery, then .36 miles at 7.7, quarter recovery, .34 miles at 7.7, then wd .35.

| WHP. Warm, breezy, but no rain. Tried to run relaxed but it felt hard. Lungs are tight--is that part of the reason the mill runs have been so crappy? Still hit decent paces, with quickest mile 8:10 and an average in the 8:20s.

| V good EL run. Hit faster paces than Saturday at much lower HRs. Two miles under 8:00 without straining, after weeks of that feeling like a sprint on the mill. Pleased. Did a :35 treadclimb on Sunday.

| Took Xmas off, did a good :50 on the treadclimber yesterday. Today, finally a good mill run. Warmed up 1.5, ran 6 x 1/4 w 1/4 recovery. Pace was still slow but a lot better, built from 7.7 to 8.2 mph and was able to stay smooth. Good workout but didn't kill me.
