Well I started out great, conservative and hitting solid 7 minute miles for the first 13 miles but then my recently operated ankle started to hurt. My doctor who did the surgery advised me against even jogging for another 2 weeks. Once I started to feel that ankle pain I backed off and pretty much walked the rest of the marathon. I ran occasionally but just cramped in my inner thighs. I just learned to enjoy the powerade offered at the aid stations because I usually don't drink any when I actually race. I just didn't want to further any injury especially since I have been injury plagued for the last 3 months. So all in all I hated the experience but its all good.
