Out early in the cool morning. Did the B-hills, golf loop. Legs felt really good and mentally I was trying to get myself recommitted to training. I think mentally I really want to get going but I don't know if my body (hammy and other ish) will hold up. B-hills loop this afternoon. It's December 1st and I was out in short shorts actually a little hot. From like 11 a.m to 4 p.m it's very nice out. No watch but had a good stride going. |

Up at 5:30 and out the door early today... early for me anyways. Looped around Flying J and back. Just tried to keep it simple and avoid any pain so the run was slow but I wasn't looking for speed anyways. Overall not a bad little outing. 5 miles this evening out in Hurricane with my uncle. I left STG and it was calm and got to Hurricane to see wind. I hate wind. Other than that the run was good. Nice and slow. It was the first time Don was able to run all 5 miles without a walking break. |

| | 10 with the club down by the river. Good group out tonight. It was chilly STG style. Glad to finally get a run in today just as it got dark. |

| | It was snappy cold out this morning. 25 F when I got done. You know when you see ice around town in STG that it's winter. This is just the way I remember December being last year... |

| | Didn't get out until this evening because my wife and I just wanted to enjoy some time at home together watching football. Once out I did a run out through the fields over to the Costco road then down the trail into the bottom of St. James and then around B-hills and the Knolls back home. Hit the run in 2:02 or 7:12 pace avg. Not bad considering I had bad stomach issues. Never eat Jimmy Deans hot and spicy sausage the day of a run. It kills on the other side if you know what I mean. Glad to get a longish run in. My body has been craving a long burn and it seems like forever since the last one. |

| | 5.4 mile loop once with my uncle and once by myself after we finished. It was dark and rainy out. By the time I finished the second loop I was soaked to the bone. We are getting some really good rain so I can't complain but it sure will make getting out for a run this week harder. Hammy was a 4 on the tight and pain scale. |

Windy out this morning but no snow. All the weather guys were predicting snow here in town but it didn't happen. Went out for a short quick run this morning before I start a busy day. Ran in some really old shoes... Reminder to self: They are worn out, don't run in them again! 8 miles around the B-hills/ golf loop this evening. Other than running in the dark the run was good. Legs and hammy felt good too. I saw one home over in B-hills north that was crazy full of lights. I'll have to drive the family by that one later this week or sometime. From a block away I thought it was a park or something... nope just some dudes house. |

25 F outside this morning at 6:15 when I joined Paul for the run. It sounds worse than it actually was. I really never was cold. We hit an extended B-hills loop in 1:15:10. It was a good run. Looking forward to being able to continue to improve my base fitness. 5.4 miles this evening. I had a Subway hours ago but for some reason I was on the line of barfing it out the entire run. I should know better... Subway just doesn't sit right with me and running. So because of the stomach drama the run was a lot harder than it needed to be. |

4 miles this morning on the TM. It was 20 out and felt like -4 when I took some trash out... so I stayed in. Had to lay down a 6:30 mile on the 4th to finish under 30 min's total on the run. 29:53. Hope to get to club tonight. 9 miles tonight with the club. We started down into Bloomington and then decided to loop around and look at the "pretty lights house" in B-hills. Nice solid run. Steven kept trying to push the pace and Bill kept taking the bait. Fun run with the STG guys. |

| | I didn't run today and I feel good about it. I didn't get up early because I was going to run with Logan this afternoon while pushing Myler. However it just never warmed up like I thought so I had to bail on the run. 31F was the high today by my count... that's freaking cold in STG for the high. | Add Comment |
| | Big run this morning out behind Bloomington on the Utah Hill loop. We did the major loop once and then the inner loop twice. It was snowing when I left the house before the sun came up this morning and wasn't a very inviting way to start a run. However the temps were actually warmer than it has been and the inch or so of snow on the ground was a nice cushion and it wasn't very slick. So running was great. We all had a good time and it's nice to have a 20 miler in the bank. Haven't gone long since STG.... I think. |

Extended B-hills loop. Very nice run this morning. It wasn't as chilly as it was last week and my legs felt great. I wore the headphones for the first time in a while. Knock on wood but the hammy didn't hurt at all. It reminded me of how nice running is when your pain free. I love it! 8 miles this evening. Same loop as the morning run. Nice temps again so I was in shorts. Legs felt great again and I just rolled. Didn't wear a watch but I had my fast shoes on so the pace was close to tinman for around 5 miles. |

| | Extended B-hills loop this morning early. Myler was up at 3:30 and I never could get back to sleep so I was out the door by 5 a.m. Temps were pretty good and the legs felt good. I had a bunch of pressure in my stomach and the bathroom on the golf course couldn't come soon enough... but I made it and the facilities were above average. |

EZ 10 this morning with Paul around the B-hills/ golf course loop like we did last week. 39F made it not too bad out and I even left the jacket behind. I enjoyed a good historical and biblical lesson on the run as Paul shared some of his vast knowledge. Seriously the man has a complete higher level of understanding. Good stuff. 4 miles tonight. Just a short run to try and loosen up. The hammy has been tight today while sitting down at the computer or other chairs that hit it just so. So I tried to shake it out... but it was kind of sore on the run too. Just a reminder that I'm not completely out of the woods. |

| | My aunt was in town so I had her watch Myler later this morning while I got a run in. 11 a.m run was heavenly. Nice and warm... too bad the legs wouldn't go. My hammy felt just fine but the rest of the legs were just dead. I felt as if I was pulling one of those parachutes. Anyways I got through it and then ruined the effort with a big lunch at Cafe Rio... and we are going to Olive Garden tonight for our work party. Just the thought is making me sick already. |

B-hills loop this morning. Kind of felt blahish. TGIF is all I can say. Let the good times roll. Pushed Myler around the loop again this afternoon. It was really nice out. Shorts and such in December. Myler loved it and fell asleep about half way through. The legs felt good as the pace was nice and slow. |

| | Longish run this morning with Logan. We looped around Bloomington from the the DC for the first 8 and then another 10 or so out around StoneCliff. Nice run. 7:10 avg total. We hit a lot of 6:20's-30's on the second loop as we talked about getting back into racing again. Glad to have it in... there were a lot of runners out today. |

B-hills loop this morning. It was pretty frosty out but the temps weren't too bad. It took a long time for me to get going (about 6 miles). The legs sure felt like it was Monday. With it being the week of Christmas I want to still get some decent runs in but not stress too much about it. 70 or so for the week would be great. 8 miles tonight around the B-hill loop again. My gamin is MIA since last Saturday. I'm sure it will turn up somewhere but for the time being I will just have to stick to "known" routes. Felt a little more a live this evening but still not amped to be out. I can't believe it's almost Christmas. I'm usually not even started shopping for Mik'L yet. However this year I am all done and have been since last week.

Quick loop this morning out in the dark and rain. Mik'L had an early meeting so I didn't have much time. That is ok though as long as I can drag it back out tonight and still be done before the games starts. I got home and had a hole in my socks. These are no normal socks. I got them at the expo in Boston back in 2006 and have been running in them ever since. Almost 4 years. I got two pair (for free) that day and the other one is still running strong. Did the longer Bhills loop tonight. Had to hit the golf course potty again. Good thing I was around it. Had some bad pains.... |

| | It was a beautiful blue ski Christmas day here in STG... but I couldn't run. Still sick and Myler is still very sick. | Comments(4) |
| | Mik'L and I felt kind of better today but Myler was still barfing. Hoping for this to sometime pass our family and move on to the next. | Add Comment |
| | Around the Knolls, through B-hills and over to the DC restrooms (6 miles out) and then back. This was the first run in days after being really sick last week. I felt fresh for sure but very rusty or whatever you want to call it. It took just over 8 miles until my pretty, tall Ryan Hall look-a-like stride surfaced. Before that my form was all over the place. Felt good to get out but it was cold... kind of a inversion STG style. Looking forward to spring. |

| | Did a nice long run out in Warner Valley with Logan today. We started where the pavement ends and ran on the dirt road out to the dino tracks then came back. We actually ran out and looked at the tracks and they were pretty cool. I'd never been out there and had been wanting to go explore that region. We just ran a relaxed pace on the way out but then on the way back Logan was pressed for time and we were rolling. Hitting some miles at 6:10 pace or so. With the headwind and dirt road we were working for that. Ended up with a 6:59 avg for the run. Its funny how you can have a headwind one direction and plan on a tailwind coming home... then it changes directions and you push the wind back too! I hate wind. |

| | Did a quick 10 with Paul this morning. Mik'L had some meetings and work to do so I had to work around her schedule. In the end it all worked out. Kind of snowy and chilly out but not too bad as I wore shorts. We kept the pace nice and conversational as we looped up by the new airport and around the fields then back home. |

| | Did an exploring run with Logan today out by the Santa Clara river. We checked out lots of indian art and looped all over the place. Nice and easy pace. We even did some mid expert rock climbing and rock hunting. Had a good time and finished out the year at 2,700 miles. Not bad for not caring at all about milage for 11 months. |
