Hit the treadmill up for a 10k and then a .2 cool down. A little faster today than the last two as I finished up in 45 min's. Not too bad for treadmill standards. I wonder if I could even break 3 hours in a marathon on the treadmill. If someone gives me like 10k in cash I'll try it. Any takers? 10 miles this afternoon with Myler. Basically 9.7 mile warm up and a .3 mile cool down. We ran out and back into B-hills. He was a sleep by mile 4 and dropped the sippy cup so it was a good thing we turned around. Picked it up on the way back. Actually a pretty nice day out I'd take it the rest of the winter. High of 54F.

Treadmill while watching Sports Center. I'm sick of hearing about LeBron's return to Cleveland. Hopefully the fans there are just crazy tonight to make it live up to the hype. 9.25 miles tonight with Dave and Steven. Looped the river bottom basically. Up tempo type run as we finished with a 6:38 avg. Steve wanted to do 5 min's of tempo so there was some 5:30 stuff in there for a while but it didn't feel that smooth. The rest of the run was pretty pleasant.

| | B-hills loop. Got out a little later and there was some cloud cover so temps were pretty nice (38f). Legs were a little sluggish but overall the body felt pretty good. |

| | Nice Saturday longish run with the club. They came to my house and we did a quick loop around my "mile" course then we ran up around the new airport and down around Stone Cliff to finish up River Road. Temps were nice and mild and mid way through the run it actually felt great out and was a perfect morning for a run. Pace was just chill. |

B-hills loop. It was misty out this morning from the rain last night. Temps were mild. There was kind of a foggy spookiness on the wet streets. I would have thought I was running on the English country side again but the road wasn't lined with a hedgerow. Felt a little fat and heavy but other than that the legs seemed to flow pretty good.
10 miles this afternoon. I didn't plan on getting in this many miles today but... 1. the weather was amazing (63 f in December), 2. My wife came home a little early from the office, 3. My mind was soup from a day of hearing Myler whine because he's a little sick. So I just needed to get out of the house and run... and it felt so good both mentally and physically. The legs seemed to roll and nothing really hurt. These days that's few and far between it seems. Looped around the DC and just beat the sunset home.

| | B-hills loop. It was kind of fun running out in the fog. If I thought yesterday morning was like running in England today was way more authentic. My legs were kind of slow going. I could feel yesterday afternoons push in them. I just tried to keep the form straight and square. |

| | B-hills loop in revers. A little cooler this morning. It was easy to get out and I felt pretty good... until the RIGHT hammy started to hurt??? Pretty sore when I got home. Hopefully just a knot that can be rubbed out. If it isn't one thing it's 20. |

| | 8.1 miles around the B-hills loop this morning. Hammy was a little better than the day before. 9.5 miles tonight with the club. We did the same loop as last week which ended up being 9.3 but I did little before the start some alone and some with Logan and Aaron. Good run tonight with the guys.

| | B-hills loop. Slow going this morning. Kind of chilly and kind of sore = a slow run. Good to be done for the day and start enjoying the weekend with family coming and a club party. Looking forward to both. |

| | Ran the new STG half marathon course (formally known as Painters). The course follows much of the river trail but has some meaty stuff. We ran a little more aggressive than I was planning hitting an overall solid run. After we finished the 13.1 we did a little cool down. Good run... I'm not in very good shape. |

| | No run today. Took a unplanned trip up to Torrey... then on to Lake Powell to fish. Perfect day at the lake. Between two of us we caught 33 fish at Hite on Monday. By the time I got home I had nothing for a run. | Comments(2) |
| | Went ice fishing at Blind Lake this morning. It was a lot of work to get there and and eventful morning once there. Caught a few fish. Finally this evening I ran the Teasdale loop. Every time I run up here it kicks my butt and today was no different. Tough loop- real tough! |

| | Another Teasdale loop while I was in Torrey. The wind just rocked my world. I wanted to die for at least the first 3 or so miles until I turned behind the hill in Teasdale. Then again once I got to the river below Torrey. Just BRUTAL. Did the DC loop once I got home from the trip. Kind of felt sluggish and my tummy was really unsettled for at least the first half. But the last few miles felt pretty good. Today was kind of a make-up day for missing Monday.

| | Did a longish run tonight out in the dark and rain. I decided to run over to running club at the DC and then do that run then run back home. Logan was the only one who showed and we basically did the river corridor run but only the 5 mile one. We also ran up to the corner twice while waiting to see if anyone else showed. 7:11 avg for the run

| | Slow lap around the DC loop. Barley made it to the 8 mile mark before an hour (59:20). Everything was kind of hurting and sore. I've pushed it pretty hard after missing Monday. Hope to relax the rest of today so I can finish off the week tomorrow. |

| | 3 mile warm up 7.75 mile tempo 4.7 mile cool down Met at my house early (winter standards). Good group out this morning. We warmed up over to the usual spot in the fields and then started the tempo. It was very soggy, rainy, and humid this morning but not too cold. In fact Steve thought it was warm enough to run without a shirt... questionable in December before the sun comes up? Anyways the tempo went ok. Nothing stellar but respectable hitting 7.75 miles at a 5:49 avg. Plus my garmin went haywire with about 3 miles to go so I had no idea where I was and could have pushed those miles a little more. Logan killed the run and must have hit around a 5:25 avg. Glad to finish off a decent week and ready to be inside in this rainy weather.

4 miles on the TM this morning. Temps are actually warm (50F). But it's raining and I didn't feel like getting wet. Maybe this afternoon or evening. Not sure what to expect from this week and running. I guess I'll just try and keep my head above water with all the craziness of the season.
6 miles on the TM again tonight. I still didn't want to go out in the rain. Again temps are pretty warm but we're getting a biblical amount of rain... and there's at least two more days of it.

TM again. The rain pounded all night and I was sure by morning it would be done... Nope. Still coming down strong. I spent yesterday and today delivering Christmas gifts to our clients and board members. So I was out and about and saw the river. It's massive! Happy trails to the trail down by the river. There's a good portion under water now. Hope the St. George half can still go that way. Finally got outside for a run this week. Ran over to the freeway and then took the trail above the river back into B-hills. The sight was AMAZING! That is right where the Santa Clara River and the Virgin River meet. It looked like an ocean. I'm not kidding it was massive. A sight I'll never forget. I run those trails all the time and have seen the river from every angle... this was crazy. Anyways the legs felt pretty good and I was glad to have gotten out.

| | Same run as last night. Over to the freeway and then on the trail above the river. The river has dropped about half of what it was last night. Looks like most the fun is over. Legs felt slower today but glad to get another run in outdoors and it was dry the entire run. But looks like more rain the rest of the day. |

Ran a similar loop as the last couple days. Out around the Little Valley schools, then through B-hills and out to the freeway and looping back into B-hills then finishing at the house. Did the first lap in 1:10 and just tried to keep it loose and smooth. Finished it up and stopped at the house to take a Gu and switch shoes. Then started the second lap. Decided to try and hit this 10 miles under 6 min pace. Did it just barely hitting a 59:25. For a total of a 2:09:52 for the 20 miles and a even 6:30 avg. Then a short .2 mile cool down. I should have gone longer on the cool down but I was toast and Mik'L was waiting to go to work. Anyway pretty happy with this mid winter workout. It was on a "hilly" course with never even a half mile straight of flat. Glad to get in a good grinder/ long run during a pretty busy week. I feel like I can at least break 1:18 in the up coming half:)

| | Basically the same loop as I've been running all week. I'm drawn over to look at the river like a moth to a light bulb. The river is high (more than double it's regular size) but not even a fourth of what it was the other day when the flood waters maxed out. I took it EZ around the loop this morning and tried to just let the legs warm up and work out any soreness from yesterday. There wasn't much so I guess that's my Christmas gift.

| | Regular old B-hills loop. My legs and body were trashed. I played flag football yesterday and everything hurts. Plus I had a massive breakfast of eggs, bacon, oj and the like. It really wasn't settled yet so had some tummy issues. But it was a beautiful day. Merry Christmas to all. |

| | DC loop. It was the first time I've ran it since all the flooding. I was wondering if I could make it all the way around without getting re-directed. I made it but had to jump a few "closed trail" signs. Legs were extra heavy and I think there was some poor circulation because my feet felt really swollen. Anyways about 7 miles into it I started to loosen up. |

B-hills loop. Kind of chilly out but still wore shorts. Nice and EZ just enjoying the morning. Everything is kind of tight and I need a good session with the stick.
Did another lap around the B-hills run tonight. Legs felt pretty dang good. There's a cool breeze in the air and it looks like old man winter aint done yet.

| | B-hills out and back this morning. Nothing special- just getting in a run. It was raining so I got soaked. Glad I got it in though. 4.1 miles tonight on the treadmill. Watched the start of the second half of the Texas Bowl. Had a hard time running because I smashed my thumb today. The finger nail is black and blue. It was throbbing so bad and running just sped up the throbs. Tried to at least hold it above my head sometimes.

| | 20 mile run with Logan this morning. It was cold... sub 20F in STG is cold around here. We got going at 7 a.m just before the sun came up. We ran the same loop I did last week on my 20 miler. So it's 2 laps out to the freeway and around. Hit the first one in 1:11 and the second in 1:06. Not as fast as I ran it last week but we still beat the 7 min guy. My hamstrings were both pretty tight and the coldness just intensified the effect. Anyways nice to finish off 2010 with a solid long run. |
