Ran a similar loop as the last couple days. Out around the Little Valley schools, then through B-hills and out to the freeway and looping back into B-hills then finishing at the house. Did the first lap in 1:10 and just tried to keep it loose and smooth. Finished it up and stopped at the house to take a Gu and switch shoes. Then started the second lap. Decided to try and hit this 10 miles under 6 min pace. Did it just barely hitting a 59:25. For a total of a 2:09:52 for the 20 miles and a even 6:30 avg. Then a short .2 mile cool down. I should have gone longer on the cool down but I was toast and Mik'L was waiting to go to work.

Anyway pretty happy with this mid winter workout. It was on a "hilly" course with never even a half mile straight of flat. Glad to get in a good grinder/ long run during a pretty busy week. I feel like I can at least break 1:18 in the up coming half:)

Great workout! 1:18 is no sweat! I am hoping to get around that pace tomorrow on a TM for 10 miles...just to sloppy to do a tempo run outside here.

Glad the weather has cleared up for you down south.

Have a Merry Christmas!

I'm guessing that means no club for you tonight?

Good run. 20 miles sounds really intimidating to me right now.

Merry Christmas to you too Jeff (also Dave and Paul).

Yeah Dave no club for me tonight.

Paul it sounded really intimidating to me too. That's one of the reasons I did it. I like to keep a steady flow of long runs in my diet so they never feel so intimidating. But it's been a while and I was scared going into it. In the end it's not too much more painful than 15.
