Roo and I ran into a pack of 5 coyotes this morning behind Morris Meadows. I have never seen coyotes on the shoreline trail. They were licking their chops looking at little Roo and I didn't know what to do! Throwing rocks and yelling at them thankfully worked!

Went with a new group of fun peeps to the Wasatch SkiMo Race #6. The course was like cross-fit on skis - steep ascent, short icy mogul downhill, short steep ascent, death bootpack, more ascent, and then the final descent blinded with eye slicing sleet, REPEAT. I won a loaf of white bread in the raffle - good times!

Antelope Canyon is on!!! 20 miles at 10:11 average pace on Antelope Island (first 20 of the Buffalo 50-mile course with about 2200 feet of gain).  Seriously the best run of my life and the first time I've ever really ran a continuous 20 miles (no steep hike breaks!). If I slow down and walk the ups I should have no problem finishing Antelope in 2 weeks - yay!

All day skiing with my pops at Alta. We got there before the lifts opened to catch first groomers and went inside to put our boots on and came outside a few minutes later and my dad's skis were gone. He'd only used the skis a few times and it just makes me sick - he was so sad! You think Alta would have at least given him a free rental... :( #peoplesucksometimes

Recovered nicely from Friday long run, not sure what to do with these next 2 weeks. I want to keep climbing, running, and ski training for the Powder Keg while also going into the Antelope Canyon race well rested.

Two hours shoveling horse poo at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and then a short hike to the Toadstools before heading to Page, AZ for the Antelope Canyon 55K.

Feeling sick to my stomach about tomorrow with my lackluster training and overall distaste for sand. I've been feeling super tired and pretty down the last two weeks that I almost thought about bailing on the race. But I am not a bailer! I will just be happy with a finish.

Hour hike on the Slickrock Trail w/ Mom & Roo and then many beers at the Moab Brewery. Body parts in order of most sore to least: feet, shoulders, abs, calves. Hips, knees, and quads feel fine.
