Same run as yesterday with Seth.  Good run.  Also strength training with Courtney, wasn't as hard as I thought.  40 sit-ups, 30 squats, 20 push-ups, 10 bicep curls on 1 leg.  then we repeated that for a total of 4 times.

2 games of indoor tag got 1.35 miles of running outdoor only first game, then .85 outdoors only so I'm guessing average was around 3.2 miles for the tag because I ran lots indoor. Then the 5 mile loop that I have done 3 other times this week.  Kaleb took unsegregation to a whole new level today by inviting Ellie on our run, so she ran with us.

Ran with the whole team, girls and guys.  Both coaches came too.  The guys went on a snowy trail which was hard and it was like 9:00 pace probably but it was quite hard.  But then once we got back on the road, craik, will, and I all ran sub six for the next two miles which felt good.  Then did 1.5 more miles between 6:20 pace and 6:55.  Good run though.  Felt good.

Good run today.  Coach RyBy said for us to go faster pace today and we took that to heart.  First mile was 6:51, then we got onto Bonneville, and with all the snow was a 6:54, then we started cruising on the snow and went 6:21 and 6:33.  Then waited for the rest because it was just Galen, Jamison and I.  Then decided to slow it down a bit and went 6:50, then 6:50 again.  Then we picked it up a bit and went 6:30, then last .75 miles were at 6:02 pace because me and craik kicked it in to the stop light going at like 5:10 pace.  Then went to the track and did a 400 speedwalk time trial. I got 1:59, so just sub 8 min pace.

Didn't feel too good and to make it worse my nose started bleeding after 2 miles.  Not a good run.  School, Jonas's house, up through workout hill trail, to golf course, up toward alpine loop, then didn't go all the way around alpine loop.  7:18 avg pace.

Drove down with Steven, Kaleb, Spencer Smith and Josh.  Got our wristbands and headed in.  Not physically or mentally prepared to race well but came for a fun time.  Last night I stayed up and messed around then ate lots this morning but didn't drink much, and we haven't done any speed.  So warmed up for a couple miles really early with those guys and then realized we warmed up like an hour too early.  Then warmed up again with Galen a bit before our race, I was in the 2nd to fastest heat but some other kids put their PR's instead of what they thought they could run so they all went in the fast heat.  Gun went off and got out well,  first lap didn't pay attention to the time but was in like 4th or 5th.  Then second lap I felt like we were going a bit slow so I took the lead and tried to put a bit of a gap but idk if I did.  Stayed like that til last lap when Patrick Parker passed me and kicked it in hard.  Got 2nd in my heat though, 10th overall.  Not super stoked but not disappointed considering how I should have raced.  It didn't feel that hard.  Afterwards, cool down  then went to Einstein Bagels, then went to Krispy Creme with Steven, Kaleb, Spencer, Josh, and Justin.  Good time.

Afternoon, some dank snow shoeing, nothing much but still a good time.

Night- 3.8 miles in the night, 6:50 avg. pace.  Felt kind of tired though.

Quality run.  Got a really bad bloody nose though.  For some of it we were going up hill in knee deep snow so we had to walk a little.  avg pace was 8:14 but that is cuz I forgot to stop my watch while we walked for a while and threw snowballs at each other.  so it should be more like 7:20ish.

Ran by myself for most of this run because everyone else had track class.  Ran .75 out then back to see if the rest were ready, but they hadn't changed yet.  So i ran a mile out and then back and they were ready.  Went down to the pond found our whongketball and went and played whongketball for a little bit, then ran back.  avg. pace of run not counting games of whonketball was 6:28.  And whongketball didn't count as mileage. Whongketball was lame without the varsity cuz the other kept trying to change the rules.

Had a sub in calculus so just ditched that and ran with the kids in the track class.  It was pretty good.  I have a cold so it was tough but fine.  4.7 up the canyon, and we were going around 6:30's so we were flying.  Then a lot faster on the way down.  Jamison's watch died so don't know avg. pace. but it was good.  Mile 3 my nose started bleeding which wasn't nice but it wasn't super bad.  Probably the nicest 9.4 miles I've ever ran.

pm-Got bored and felt like doing something active but my bike tire was flat and I didn't feel like pumping it up. Decent day today, though I have been feeling sick.  Started off with the mile.  Short warmup due to lack of time.  Was in the fast heat, and my body still goes into shock running that fast cuz we haven't done any fast work. Started off with the leaders but got boxed in 2nd lap.  Then surged up, but it was too much, and I was too tired.  I ran a 4:25, so 2 seconds off state qualifying this year.  Then cooled down with AF, Garek, and a couple other dudes.

Warmed up for the 4x800.  Jamison first, Galen second, Justin third, me kicking it in.  Jamison got us a good lead, which we think he ran around a 2:02-2:03.  Then Galen went and got more of a lead with 2:04-2:05.  Then Justin ran and lost the lead a tiny bit but the weber guy was really fast.  Justin ran around a 2:05.  I got it at 6:12, with about a 4-5 second lead but Talon Hull was up for weber.  Went out hard, and went through the lap, with the lead, then heard Jamison, Galen, and everyone else yelling Talon's coming, or Go Talon.  Got to the final curve with a slight lead, and at the straight away still in first. Then Talon comes with a flying mamba and kicking hard.  I lost the lead and was giving up, but I saw him slow a tiny bit, and knew I needed to go for it. So I kicked hard, as Talon moved infront of me in lane 1 so I went around him in lane two and got him at the line with a sprinters lean.

Shout out to Talon who ran a freakin 1:56ish which is SO SO SO insane!!!!

Not too good of a run.  We ran at 5:45 in the morning so I was tired and it was much colder then the beautiful weather right now, which is literally perfect short sleeves, short shorts running weather.  Stayed on the road, down to westfield, then looped around and got back on the main road.  Then headed toward the church by lambert park, then all the way up to Healey, then back down by the round about.  Really rough. avg. pace was probs around 7:05 but my watch died 6.25 miles in.

Went a mile before the freshman got here, then went with them on the tramp run.  Then went to artic circle got a courtesy cone (always a good time) then back to the school.  It was 6 miles and I just called it good.  Got home and did some good strength training. 100 push-ups in 4 sets of 20-30, with minute and a half plank inbetween.  Made up Mario Strength Kart which every lap you do something (first course pushups next bicep curls next crunches and last plank.)  Then I made it for the pushups 15+5X (X being the place you were in) then bicep curls 15+5X with 20 lbs until the second lap when I went through in 5th and couldn't do 40 of them I went to 10 lbs weights. Then did 40+10X for the crunches, and lastly did 1 minute + .5 minutes X.  Total of 140 push-ups, 9 minutes of plank, 80 bicep curls, and 150 crunches.  Later in the night felt the need to finish off my run so went 2.5 more miles.  Quality day today, but I'm gonna be SOOO sore tomorrow.

Did 1.55 before strength training, did strength training but I couldn't do it well especially the plank because my back would hurt really bad while doing it so I'm going to go back to seeing the chiropractor again.  Went to go running and didn't feel good at all so went shorter and had to stop and stretch out my back multiple times.  6.35 after strength. alpine loop short version.

Quality hill workout.  My back was insanely sore but it wasn't hurting like yesterday.  The good kind of sore pain. 6x600 meter hill repeats.  1:54, 1:56, 1:58, 1:59, 1:57, 1:55.  Felt that I could do it much faster, 1:54-1:55 for all but coach told us to calm down to 2:00 pace so I calmed a bit but still wanted to go fast, then on the last one was gonna go 1:57ish but Justin came up so I just stuck next to him for 1:55.  Felt decent besides how sore my back was.  But enjoyed the run which was very needed cuz I haven't really enjoyed a run in a while so I was getting pretty sick of running.

And shout out to Jamison who isn't much of a hill runner but still was killing the work out!!!

Good running today.  in the morning before school we ran as a team (kind of, it was just me jamison josh steven and coach.)  8.4 miles in the morning.

At school my friend who doesn't run much asked if I wanted to run after school.  So I did and it was a nice pace for 4.25 miles.  It was quite nice.

Good run.  Went up towards middlespring but it was way too snowy so came back and ran by kind of by ester's house, then found a trail that led to a private place and it had a sick trail so we went up the trail.  It was really steep.  Then made our way over toward sliding rock, on the way down to sliding rock we had to run through snow but it was hard enough not to sink in for the most part but every once in a while someone would take a step and the top layer would break so they sunk in and then fell.  It was quite exciting.  Also found some make out couches so it's called the couch run I think.  It was good stuff.  Then 1 mile barefoot with a couple strides. Shout out to my mom for making breakfast for the team!

Good time today.  Ran with PG and did the Reaper.  Didn't push it super hard but went faster.  Did it in 8:42.  It was fun.  Then did strength training with them.  Gonna go finish off my run after I go to the chiropractor.

Shout out to the pg team who let me run with them.  Special shout out to Mia and Nicole for dancing crazily and then getting embarrassed cuz the soccer kids saw them!

Then me right after.  It was a good time.  after did an 800 and ran 70 for the first lap then 65 for the last.  Then cooled down on golf course, then barefoot on the grass.  Good time today.  Talked to Jamison about his recruiting trip to weber and it sounds like a nice college so I'll definitely be thinking of it when applying to colleges.  Also would be a good time running with Jamison, Galen, CBaller, and Dallin Leatham in college and it sounds like they will be raging good.

Well, idk cuz I'm still semi in it. I've still not been able to perform how I've wanted to but the things that have help me the most are finding the runs that make me love running which helps me improve. Also I got so sick of it that I was finally able to just channel all of the anger of not being able to run well into a race which helped out. So try that.

Did a tempo run today.  4x2:00.  Muscles felt sore and tired but during the tempo I was able to go pretty well.  Went faster then we had been hitting.  Hit .44 then .44, then .43, then .43.  It was enjoyable.

Freakin' exhausting.  Had a campout so got so little sleep, then came home went and reffed a soccer game, got 1.8 miles per half then went straight to churchball which I got some quality mileage probably cuz there were a lot of fast breaks and our team only had 4 players for the first half so we had to hustle on D (not counting this in mileage.  Then a 5th came and we won 61-37 so I think we made it to the championship game.  Then came home and cleaned up my camping stuff and ate a bit then went out running.  Out on Bonneville, making sure not to push the pace.  Went avg. 7:38 which was nice but I was so exhausted I cut off half a mile from the run instead of the full ten.  In conclusion exhausting past 4 days with little sleep and lots of running so Sunday will be quite a nice day of rest.

Had an AP Lang Practice test that was worth 255 points today so I had to miss practice.  Then right after grabbed my reffing stuff and went and reffed.  Got 6.4 miles.  Gonna go later with spencer and Tyler to finish up the mileage.

Never went cuz my knee had bothered me this week and I figured it would be smarter to just bike some and then not run more.

Shout out to Jamison who ran in windy conditions and qualified for the 3200 with a 9:34

To the pole then 2 games of tag.  Trevor rolled/fractured his ankle during tag so I ran up got my car and came back down to drive him up to the school.  Then went and to see if the guys were just doing golf course but seth and spencer said they went out and did tramp run so I decided to call it a day and I'll run more tonight after reffing. 5.5

Reffing got 1.6 for the game, so nothing much.

Went to pick up my sister from her track thing but they were still doing something so I just ran on the grass field,  got 1.75 miles.

Quality day at the peak.  To start, I was up past 1 doing homework, then had to get up early finish the homework but I still didn't finish.  Went to school took a chapter quiz in AP US, then in AP psychology took an FRQ, Ch. 16 vocab test, Ch. 16 unit test, a miscellaneous vocab test from throughout the term, and talked about blood doping and Lance Armstrong.  Then went into chemistry and did the usual of not pay attention. Then off to Spanish and Señorita was not happy so that was awful.  Then a wonderful run of 5 mile loop, with strides after.  We also did basketball before and after our run.

Shout out to coach for playing a prank on us telling us that we didn't make it into arcadia.

Didn't feel all that great today going to the meet but right once the mile started I got an adrenaline rush.  Got boxed in the first 2 laps and finally made it out with just under 700 to go.  Then I just started going for it.  Ran a 4:20 so I was happy cuz I qualified.

Did the 800 in the medley, my coach told me to go 2:10.  Was going right around 2:10 pace for the first lap, then second lap I saw that I could take the guys infront of me so I decided to go for it and get the W in the slow heat of the medley.  Ran a 2:04.

Quality day overall.

Also shout out to the PG team, especially Mia and Nicole who provided josh and I with some delicious donuts.

Really great day! Went and checked out Hollywood and stuff then headed to the race. Got there. Found so people that I knew from great oaks and talked to them, then went and watched some invitational races. Then warmed up and got ready. Went to the track and bang! We get started, I'm in last place cuz I slip at the start cuz I didn't have spikes in. Tried to move up many times either on the inside but it wasn't moving or on the outside of lane 3 but that wasn't working cuz people kept shoving me. Came through near the back just holding on at the mile with a 4:39. Then the leader started going so I followed and was able to move up near them and get around the crowd. Then I stuck til 2 laps left. Then with 2 laps to go I went for it. Took the lead, jamison stuck next to me, and we worked together to pull away, jamison faded a bit but I was going, went til final hundred and kicked but a guy outkicked me cuz my legs tightened up really bad. But I was happy with the 22 second PR.

Good run on bonneville for a pre race shakeout.  5 easy miles.  Feels weird racing 3/4 days and not running on one of them.

Went and helped at the junior high kids track meet.  Did the timing and then the announcing, I had hilarious things to say but molen made me keep it at least semi official.  Also on this note, shout out to connor baller because a girl at our school, we were talking about announcing and she started talking about the Lehi, Lone Peak, AF tri meet and how funny the announcer is.

Finally race time.  Got to the line, Watched the girls heat and then did a quick 5 meter stride.  Then the timer started us, got out well, in 1st place, went to second by 10 meters in but then 3rd by around 15 meters in.  Saw craik and Russell trying to pull away but held near them.  Passed 50 meters around 22 seconds then was going for the kick in but my hand was dying and my arms gave out twice.  So slowed a lot then finally kicked it in passing russell.  Finished with a 62, 2nd from our school all-time, as well as 45th in the US all-time, and 9th US this season.  Craik smashed the high school world record and went a 48,  which is olympic qualifying time.  So in conclusion, Craik has great potential if he sticks to his training.  BTW he was only 6 seconds off the World Record!

Eh meet.  Did the mile and did not feel good, my breathing was weird, my left hamstring tightened up on the last 400 and my right thigh was killing from where dom kneed me.  I guess it was a good warm-up cuz it loosened me up for the 800 in the medley.  warmed up 2 miles, plus did some strides, then got ready to get the baton from dom.  The sprinters did ok, they could have done much better though, Ty thinks that they could have dropped at least 3 seconds with the 200's.  I got the baton took off, came through 200 in 28, then went around with casey right on my tail and came through in 57.  The tried to follow casey but my leg cramped up so I backed off. That 200 was way slow, a 35.  But then was able to kick it back at the end and finish with a 28.  2:00.  My coach and dad had me at a low 2:00 so I was happy. Also we qualified for state with 3:37.

Good day. Yesterday went up the canyon with friends, including coach's daughter and she was supposed to be home at 9:30 but we didn't have service and we came down at 11:00 and her dad had called the cops so last night cops crashed out party, lol.  Woke up at 6:35 got to the race, watched a bunch of races.  Then it started raining, and was windy.  Waited forever, then finally warmed up on the indoor track, then got ready.

Got to the start line, started out awful, but took advantage by going straight to the inside lane.  Then moved up from there, lol, was in the very back and came through in mid 63 first lap.  Then got up to Will Handley and stuck with him til 200 left, then started making a move on him, but my legs were too cold and tight so I fell back as he kept going with the move I tried to make.  Then Colter passed me, but I passed Dallin at the very end.  Got 4th, 4:20.  So not disappointed.

Short cool down, then rested for like just under an hour.  Then warmed up for the 2 mile, super sluggish warm up, was just gonna kind of go run the 2 mile but not really.  Got to the start line and got off.  Just stuck behind Jamison and Galen  who stuck behind the rest of the pack.  Then the pack stretched out a bit at 1200 in, so I passed up to 5th, and whenever someone was dropping off from the leader I would pass them.  Then just followed Joe Benson, and Talon Hull til 300 left.  Then Joe made a move, I matched and surged past him.  200 left I charged.  Then 100 left I was going but Joe caught me and we were side by side for the last hundred. Made a quarter of a second mistake of "feeling tired" and acting on it and slowed for a tiny bit.  Joe got me by .07 seconds, costing me the win, the watch, and the shirt.  Bummer, but oh well.  Got a PR when I wasn't really ready  to.  And closed in a 60.4 according to Mr. Molen.

Super Shout out time to multiple people: Mr. Molen, for letting us play basketball when we got back, Craik and Valerie, for giving us Cafe Rio for Valerie's homecoming.  Shout out to Brooks for the sick sunglasses. Shout out to Watson cuz she killed her 2 mile and cuz I met her for a second time.  And Shout out to the stellar Kelly for beating my bro at ping pong. I don't even know what to think of today.  My legs felt tired and my stomach was not cooperating.  Got there and literally within 30 seconds of me stepping off the bus, a bird/pato, pooped on my shoulder.  Then got on a short warm up, got in the mile and raced.  Patrick took it out and led the whole race, I was in second the whole race, just sticking on his shoulder.  Then with 400 to go he took off, I held on for 100 but then he left, putting 4 seconds on me in the last 300 meters. Got 4:21.  Then cool down.  Waited a while, then warmed up for the 800.  Way too fast and too long for me.  It was me and Jamison and he was going like 6:28 pace for the mile and a half, which is not how I like warming up.  Got into the race and came through in a 61 first lap, and went slower the second, and ran a 65.  so 2:06, not too good.  Just didn't feel well.  Cool down with lehi, timp, af, and jiree and jiraa.  Then just chilled.

Had AP Psych test today so I couldn't run with the team.  Then I biked down to PG to watch the meet for a bit, then ran .5 miles with tyler and .5 while cheering on the guys racing.  Then biked back (total bike was 11.82) and went straight to reffing. Then got 4.11 miles the first game and 2.84 the second.  Shins were hurting so I decided not to go on a specific run today and to ice them really well.

warm up 2. Got to the workout, heard it was 600 then 400 x4 so not too bad, until I heard the splits we were supposed to hit. Coach said for the 600, 65 second 400's so 1:37.5 for the total.  Then the 400's were at 62 second pace.  First 600 we did, hit a 1:36.  Then did the four, and coach was saying go go go lol so I went a bit fast,  59, but that is the kind of workout I wanted to do today.  Next 600, hit 1:38.  Then did a 62 400.  Then I was destroyed and the next 600 I went out really slow, and saw everyone else slowing after the first 200 meters so I speed up and actually hit a decent time, a 1:39.  Then coach could tell we were dying, so she gave us 3 minutes rest, instead of the usual 90 seconds.  And Courtney said we were gonna switch the 600 into a 400 but she wanted us to hit 64 and the last 3.  Went 63, 64, and a 66. Felt exhausted but did feel like it helped my legs turn over a bit which is what I've been wanting for a long time. Cool down 3 and ice.

Also, this weekend, I'm going for 4:14- Eveyone hold me accountable for this time. I'm ready to throw down this time.

Went to do rad-venture but didn't happen.  So we played fish out of water which was good.  Then we came back, and they had popsicles for us.  Then we did half a mile bare foot, then iced.  Also, Saw they had top 20 in the mile so Jamison and I will both get to run in the golden hour for the mile!

Had AP Calc today, so went to early morning seminary for like 30 minutes, then went to Lehi's coach's dad's room, Mr. Smith, and got breakfast galore.  Then took the AP test, felt pretty good, probs high 4 low 5 range.  Then we didn't have to go to fourth cuz I had calculus so I went to track class and played basketball, my team won every time so shout out to my team.  Then went and warmed up, then got back and did 400 300 400 300 400 300.  Hit 62 45, 62, 45, 62, and 47, so nearly a perfectly split workout.  My legs felt heavy and tired so it was some real work hitting those times and my breathing was quite awkward, but if my breathing turns out ok by Saturday I'm really hopeful for a great time.  2 mile cool down and ice.

Got to the race just in time to watch Josh's mile.  He kind of died but he has had a good season.  Then Justin and Galen went.  They were cruising.  Justin ran 4:23 but .2 off of state. Then Galen was 4:26 and just died last 200 meters.  Then Craik in his 800 went 2:00.46.  Then Seth went 2:05.  Then later in the golden hour, Jamison and I warmed up for our race.  It was faster pace cuz coach said we should warm up like that but I really didn't like it.  Also one of our coaches gave us a shot block but I didn't like taking it.  Not gonna take one again.  Got to the line and we were off.  Came through 64, then 2:09.  Then third lap we started gaining on casey mckay patrick and logan.  Then they took off 400 left.  I was feeling great til 550 left then my body just got exhausted.  Went fine til last 100, then mentally gave up.  Slowed way down and got passed by 3 people, which I would have gotten 8th in the golden hour.  So should have stayed stronger, but not disappointed with a PR. Also Jamison was .4 off from state which was too bad.

Shout out to all the cool people I met today and talked to especially Lehi cuz I talked to them for a while and met Sami from frb for the first time.

Also shout out to Jamison because he told me what an excellent smoothie is at Roxberry while he was working there.

crazy stuff today.  Haha, we finally did what I have been asking to do, a super speedy workout.  We did 400 300 200 400 300 200.  I hit 59, 44, 28, 60, 45, 28.  The first 400 at the 200 mark I nearly faceplanted and hit the track but I caught myself.  My foot hit the back of Jamison's cuz he slowed just barely when he heard me say 29 for our first 200 meters, but I was watching my watch and so I didn't see so I was running really weird for like 15 meters til I finally caught myself.  Good workout.  Just running the 800 at region so we'll see if I can put down a quick time and get qualified for state.

Ran Region medley today.  Went 2 mile warm up then the race. My team got me in third, I think Adam Wood had like a 5 second gap on me, and Luke Johnston probably had about 3.  I looked at my coach and he said go for the win, so I went off, hit 29 first 200, then 28 at the 400.  By then I passed Luke, and was gaining on Adam, went 30 for the next 200 and then Adam took off, and I just kind of lost it, and Luke passed me but I didn't really care much, probably could have kicked a bit harder but I want to be fresh for the 800 tomorrow cuz I'm trying to qualify.

'Twas quite a day.  At school first two classes we just watched movies, Forrest Gump, and What about Bob?, then the next class my teacher just went on and on about some crazy boring chemistry.  Then 4th we had a spanish verb tense and form quiz with a bunch of crazy things so it was annoying.  Then went out to the track and chilled and watched a bunch of guys race really well.  Then warmed up a mile and a half pretty slow for the 800.  Did a lot of strides, then went to the line.  My breathing was weird but once the race got started it felt pretty good.  Ran first part just chilling probably about in 10th.  Then with 400 to go I went into striking distance to the leaders,  but still in 6th.  Then tried to get up with 200 left but was trapped til a saw a small gap right on the inside which I took then kicked it in.  Ran a 1:57.58 so a 4.5 second season open 800 PR, and a 3 second overall PR from last season.  Cooled down 3.5 on the grass barefoot cuz I got some nasty blisters from my spikes.  200 splits went 28, 29, then I presume 31, then I think 28.

Shout out to Connor who qualified in the 800, then Jamison, Justin and Collin in the mile today.  And also big shout out to Adam Wood, who ran 4 events and basically went 1st in the 3200 2nd (by his 800 split in the medley), 3rd in the mile, and 4th in the 800, which is pretty insane so congrats to him!

Tapering is great! Also school was crazy, first the seniors made everyone pay to get into the parking lot, pennies, gum, love notes, etc.  Then I walked down to the commons and was gonna fill up my water but it looked like the drinking fountains had vasaline on them.  Then like 5 seconds later I hear a deafining vroom, and see a dirt bike flying down the hall,  then it turned into the commons and I saw teachers start chasing after him.  Then didn't see it after that.  But heard it was a ruckess and I think the school is gonna sue and so he's in a lot of trouble.

Well crazy day.  Warmed up then headed back got spikes and got lined up.  I was 7th.  Gun went, race started.  I started out hard but not hard enough cuz I got trapped at the back so the entire first 2 laps I was fighting to just get up and get moving.  Splits show it.  Then with 800 left I went for it, being in 6th place and last lap Tracen passed me even though we were gaining on Patrick from AF and Dallin from Viewmont but they beat me and I got 7th.  Bummer, no medal, .34 seconds off of our school record.  But I'm not complaining because 1. I got a big PR, my first one of the mile this season, 2. It was a lot of fun and I felt pretty great doing it. 3. I got trapped so I know if I could have split better I could have run better.  4. It was a lot of fun negative splitting.  Official splits are 65.58 then 66.81 then 63.89 then 60.30.  So haha, a good negative split race.  Happy with how the season has turned out even though I didn't reach all my goals but at least I have had what I would say is a significant improvement.

Good race today.  Ran the 3200 and was kind of worried because I haven't run a 3200 since Davis a while back and my stomach wasn't the greatest at the line.  Went out, same as usual, was in the backish immediately but this time instead of waiting and getting trapped I squeezed through an opening 300 in and got up next to Mckay and Patrick from AF.  Then we went til it was Mckay and I, then we passed Dallin Leatham then Mckay kept turning up the pace so I followed.  Just sat on his shoulder for pretty much the whole race then at then end he got a second gap on me.  I finished 3rd in 5A and 4th overall.  It was a lot of fun.  I have the 800 coming up this afternoon so I'll post about that when I do it.  2 mile warm up-1.75 cool down. 800 was quite exhausting. I had never tripled before so it was crazy. Went out around 58 then like 64. Haha. So My mile closing lap was nearly faster than my 800. After I got home i was bored s we got some guys together to play basketball so it was pretty tiring. So shout out to my lehi homies ffor playing basketball/coming. Y'all are awesome.

Did the rootbeer (mile) today but first race that I did not finish.  Got out really slow but I was fine doing that.  Then passed a ton of people on the run.  Then flew through the next can and got my self caught up.  Then third can I was just a bit behind the leaders and went fast on this lap.  Then last can I could not get it down even to my throat.  I made it through 2/3 of the can but I could only put the last rootbeer in my mouth.  I couldn't get it to even touch my throat so I had to quit there.  It was a valiant effort for a new PR since last season but it didn't happen.  Maybe senior year.

First part was slower but then after 2 miles we kept it around 6:45 pace.  Got back from our run to see that one of the girls on our team, Olivia, had been hit by a car while crossing the road.  She was fine and it was just a minor crash.  A white car had stopped to let Olivia cross then she crossed but a car rammed into the white car and so it got hit forward into Olivia.  Then when we got back Kaleb decided to be a complete idiot and race back while everyone else just went an easy pace and nearly got hit by two cars while he just sprinted across the road. Pretty dumb.

So a very deserved unshoutout goes to Kaleb because of that.

Later basketball with Steven, Kaleb, Josh, Ryan, and I.

Good stuff from everyone today.  Did just over 5 on our distance run, then did some abs and pushups and stuff then went and played capture the flag.  I got the flag the first game and the second game I was 2 feet from crossing when the other team finally crossed.  But the other team was like standing on the flag so it was impossible for so long to even touch the flag.  But whatever it was a good time!

Also got the CBC tonight so that is exciting!

Shout out to T-K-Norr for getting a blog even though it isn't approved yet.

So the CBC was lit! Went out cruising I think my first mile was like 4:44. (Guess not from what I saw on Connor's blog. Looks like a 4:52ish)  Then slowed a bit then last mile maintained.  Ethan Field and I worked together for most the race.  Josh Collin's was there so that was pretty cool! He won in 15:30 then Connor 15:31.  Also my watch had me at 3.26 miles for the race putting it at a 4:54 average pace so that was kind of cool.   It was fun with everyone there cheering and racing so shout out to all them.  And special shout out to THE CONNOR BALLER who organized this sick event!

Later played basketball with some of the team, and some Lone Peak varsity were at the church where we were.  So we played against them.

Quality day today!  Picked up the usual crew and headed to practice but then drove over to Lehi's practice cuz we were gonna have a ragnar team meeting but I got switched out of the van to the other van.  So now I'm leg 3, which is much tougher so it won't be as fast but it should be a good time.  Did abs and hips which were freakin exhausting and then went straight home to grab some water and head out on a hike with Spencer Trevor and Seth.  Went up, got lost, ran a mile to find a turn around point then also did 6+ miles of hiking also getting lost.  We went up to Lake Pittsburg which was quite awesome but it was too cold to jump in.  Then got home for like 30 minutes then headed up to the RSL game with Austin Hinckley, Ryan Johnson, and Shawn Mills.  RSL won in a PK shoot out which was pretty sick!

Oh and also shout out to TKnorr and me for making a snowman on our hike, it's name is Winifred so if you see a snowman up by Lake Pittsburg know that we made it.

Shout out to our team captain Jacob for throwing a pasta party!  Right now I feel like I'm in the best shape I've ever been so I'm pretty stoked.  I also have a 2 mile down hill leg so I'm going for sub 9 on that.  It will be great!

Race 1. It was blazing hot and took off too fast. Went 5:11 for first then went 2 more sub 6's then 6:01 and then just slowed a bit from there. Heat killed me and it was all flat til the end then it was up hill. It was long and hot so it was rough. I pitifully made it up the hill and then kicked it in to Bill. Shout out to the lehi alumni squad for being such a dope team! 7 kills.

Later in the coolness of night I ran my second leg, 2 miles downhill for the most part.  I decided I was going to push it hard on this leg and I went crazy.  I hit 4:22 for the first mile and then went 4:24 for the second then the last .01 was 3 seconds.  It was really fun doing that.  I got to the exchange zone 5-10 minutes before the van did because they had to go through a detour.  It was quite the exciting leg! 11 kills.

Finally saw someone and pushed harder up to them and from then on I could generally see runners up ahead and I would just go catch them. Last 3 miles went by super fast and felt great. Good day today. drove to the race and warmed up 1.19 miles with my bro. Did some strides then the race got started. Went out in first but it was at like 6:00 pace cuz I didn't want to lead. Pack of 5 separated quickly, preston johnson of weber state, camren todd, garrett barton, logan petty and me. Then garrett preston and I seperated from them and then they put a surge on that I couldnt match. After they did that garrett started dropping and I picked it up hard. I got within 10 meters on the last straight away so but was too tired from chasing him the half mile so he put some major time on me at the end. Good race overall. Know that I need to improve my abs and also get my back fixed. Splits were 5:00 5:15 5:16 then 63 for the last part. Super fun race. Cooled down with garrett a davis guy and max jones after. Was pretty nervous for today because yesterday I could not run well.  My outside shin was hurting me as well has ITband.  When I woke up I could feel them a little bit without walking but I got up and went to practice thinking of cutting it short.  Went a mile and my ITband wasn't cooperating but it warmed up as the run went on and my shin was doing way better then I thought so that was good.  Also we had a faster day today, first mile warm-up pace, 7:20, then we picked it up just so it was faster.  6:44, 6:39, 6:34, 6:37, 6:37, 6:35, 6:12, then 70 seconds for the last .2.  Run went really well, didn't even feel tired while doing it and my body didn't hurt for the majority of the run.  Avg. pace since when we picked it up was 6:32 and overall average was 6:39.

Also Utah State is coming to my house today to meet with me and talk about their running program so that is exciting!

Crazy hard run because it was at 4:40 in the morning because of priests camp.  I'm gonna try to run more then but Idk if I'll have time at camp.

Didn't run more but did  an aqua jogging race against the current in the river for getting first in line for food at dinner so I won that which was a quite the workout.

Didn't have much time to run because I woke up late so didn't run then and the whole day was planned out so I ran at 10:50 at night and the leaders said I needed to be back at camp at 11:00... so I went out and got a 10 minute run it but it was really cool because there were so many stars and we had just had testimony meeting so I got to think about all that stuff!

Felt quite out of shape til I looked at my watch after the first half mile and saw I was going 6:28 pace up a hill so then I decided to just keep going fast but stay on the roads instead of doing a hilly run.  Did part of Discovery and then looped down to AF and then through Art Dye and up to Lone Peak and then back to my house.  It was quite the run.  Saw tons of road kill such as a raccoon, 2 squirrells, and a bird.  Also on my run Casey Clinger drove by with some friends and then they sat at the stop sign waiting for me to run by and then he said what's up to me while I was running so I guess Casey is my #1 fan lol.  Also ran through AF's festival thing on accident at Art Dye.  And I saw I was going pretty fast average so I thought it would be cool to have a sub 6 average so last two miles I pushed.  avg. pace was 5:56.

Also BBall at my church tomorrow at 9:00 after practice if anyone wants to join.

Quite the race.  Got there with plenty of time to spare, last night at 11:55ish.  Got warmed up with the other race competitors.  Got our lane assignments, I got lane 8 #blessed.  Will said on your mark, Go! and we were off.  Took it out hard but then my leg where I landed weird from a month ago was hurting a bit so I backed off.  But overall quality race.  Made it past the prelims to the final 4 with no crazy effort.  Got 5.5 more miles to do at 7 in the morning.

Did 5 mile loop which actually got us 5.5 because we did extra little parts such as break into Craik's house to wake up Craik but he wasn't home.  After did some basketball with soon to be Elder Wilkes for the last time in 3 years. Super sad because it might be the last time I see Jamison in a long time since he leaves tomorrow.  He's a great runner and a great guy!  Gonna miss him on the team.  Also Mike who got back from his mission 4 days ago came and played bball with us which was excellent and he is super cool!

Good run today.  It was an easier day so our pace was pretty relaxed.  7:07 avg pace.  Ran to Jamison's talked to him then headed back and did .65 barefoot to get 9.  Then did 2 stride with Seth.  We paced the girls on their tempo-ish run today so they stuck with us at 6:40 pace for 3 miles.  I'm super excited to start workouts like tempo's and hill repeats but my coach said that we aren't going to do that until the beginning of August which I think is starting too late but they know what they are doing.  But I'm just super pumped to do something besides a usual distance run because they are getting kind of long and boring.

Went to Corner Canyon and did a sick run there.  Got 9.14 total and did it at 6:58 pace which was pretty fast considering the hills and that it was a trail.  Good day. Planning on going more later tonight with CBaller.

Running later didn't happen but had some stellar ping pong at Craiks and a good fight night which ended up just me and Craik.  He won the first round, then I won the second and they said the last round was a tie.  So overall a tie match.  He got a lot more decent hits but I got a couple of really solid hits.

Also Happy B-Day to my younger bro Josh.  He's turning 16 so all you ladies better watch out or he'll slay you with his looks and abs, that are non-existent (jk), but that's beside the point because he still slays. lol.

I was dying today, my hamstring has been hurting a bit and after yesterday's hard run it made it worse.  So I was holding like 7:40 avg pace, haha, it was probably the hardest thing I have ever done.  If I went faster my hamstring would hurt.  Seth also was feeling pretty bad cuz he was struggling so he was staying with me.  Went 1.5 miles short but I may try to do a small shakeout tonight.

Also failed to acknowledge this yesterday but at Josh's B-day party while we were playing volleyball Emily Ellis spiked it on Connor twice so shout out to her.

Tough run but good news is my hamstrings weren't as bad as yesterday although they were still a bit tight especially on the up hill part of hogs.  Connor came with us so shout out to him.  I remembered hogs as a lot better of a time but today it wasn't too good, maybe because the stupid city made the trail huge and not as cool or I was just way tired.  Next week I have scout camp and my coach told me not to worry about running because of how much we will be hiking but I may go a couple sick trail runs while I'm there so I'm pumped for that!

Most excellent day of the trip.  Hiked out with Bro Wilcox (marathoner) Travis (fit RM) Josh, me, and Bryson (fit soccer player).  We hauled the 15 miles out.  5 hours moving time plus a total of an hour of eating, filtering and resting.  Got out and went to Bonsai and tried some sushi and other stuff as well as 2 orange chicken things.  lol, shout out to the girls we saw there because either they were super cute or we just hadn't seen girls in a week so we had no idea but that's to be expected with scout camps.  Also got stuck in the wreck on I-80 but maneuvered around to the exit and found a 40 minute detour but we took it and it paid off cuz the road was still closed when we reached Salt Lake.   We probably would have been part of the wreck had we not taken a spontaneous ice cream stop.  So that was quite a blessing.  Anyways, great trip.  Would recommend it to everyone.  Mosquitoes were awful and our full scout troop traveled slow but the nature and surroundings were unreal!  Also saw a moose but no grizzlies which was a disappointment.

First workout of my senior year!!! 'Twas quite excellent! Workout was 3 x mile. Did it with 3 minutes active rest in between

Warmed up 2.3 miles. Then first was 5:08. 2nd was 5:05 and last was 5:03. I did the same loop the first two but there was a pretty decent sized hill in it so on the last one I did the loop that josh did which was flatter which felt a whole lot easier and nicer. So that was enjoyable. Slow cool down.

Also yesterday we went snorkelling and I saw a octopus and two stingrays and a bunch of fish and either 2 different really big fish or a leopard or horn shark which other people said they saw.

Probably the best run ever cuz I finally got to run with the team and I felt really great today on the run.  .5 warm up with the team then went into Lambert then looped back to the park and then Galen Craik Will and I went and through Redford Run onto Mountain run. Galen and I did an ultra tactical race for poduim which is kicking it in the last about 15 meters.  I barely got him at the line and it felt so good to get moving fast just for that much.

Shout out to everyone who is leaving on their missions and especially Connor, Asa, and Spencer because they all gave amazing and spiritual farewell talks.

Basketball for like 4.5 hours which is brutal.  Haha I was exhausted by the end.  Tons of people came so that made it super sick!  Possibly the last time I see Connor and Asa in 3 years so that is super sad but they will be excellent missionaries!

Pretty tired today from the 13 miles yesterday. Both of the runs were at a pretty decent pace.  haha now I know how Galen felt at pre-region.  Plan was to do 4x 666m hill repeats.  But after the first 3 our coach told us we were going to do 5 and I kind of mentally lost it and my hamstrings were way tight so I slowed down.  Hit 2:22 2:23 and then we decided to have a new finish line that was like 5 seconds infront so I hit 2:15, then I was wrecked and knew we had two more and hit 2:22, and 2:22 for the last which converts to 2:27 which is still faster then we went last year. Gonna run more tonight so if anyone wants to let me know.

Fun day today even though I was completely destroyed from the past week.  Warmed up just under a mile and a half and did a few strides.  Race started and Seth, Justin, Craik, Kaleb, Lil' Warner, Josh and I broke from the pack pretty quick.  Then Seth started going ahead so I went with him.  We hit the mile at 5:04.  After this he was a little tired so he slowed a tiny bit so I tried to surge and get a gap on him but he responded and then he tried to do it on me but I responded as well.  We came through at 10:08 for 2 miles and then we hit cemetery hill and I died. lol.  I was football shuffling up it (probably even slower then that) because ever since the first day of camp when we ran up the 2300 elevation gain my legs haven't been able to handle up hill well.  Seth pulled away by like 75 meters.  I finally made it up the hill and went on the chase.  I cruised down and was chasing him all the way back.  Mile 3 was a 5:13 so that put me at 15:21.  Then we kicked it in and I had chased down seth to like 5 meters but he got me so shout out to him!  Last part was 4:40 pace in 31 seconds.  Felt exhausted from camp but felt strong during the race so I'm excited for when I am well rested!  Cooled down, got to stand on the podium, then went with Galen and Lil' Warner on 5 mile loop with a few little cuts.  So got 70 miles on the week.

Tough workout today.  It was also the first day we had run in the heat so that was tough.  I had a pretty solid workout, everyone else either dropped off hard or didn't do the full thing because of injury.  Did 1000 800 1000 800 800 800.  Hit 3:06 then 2:24 then 3:07 then 2:27 2:26 and 2:27.  It was on the grass.  On my watch when I set up the course I got .50 exact but when I did it as the workout I got .51-.53 so it was  little long, the 1000 was .65 for both so a little long.

Also shout out to all the people who visited Tyler and I at the snow shack on saturday, and shout out to brynlee because she saw me at Kohl's... but I guess I don't pay much attention because I didn't see her.

Rumor has it that Dana Hills will be at the Viking invitational so that makes the preseason #1 and #2 coming to the Viking invite so be there or be square!

Good hill workout today.  Tough because my body wasn't awake since we did it at 6:30 in the morning with our cross country class.  Went 1:59,1:57,1:56, 1:57, 1:58, 2:00.  Slower then I would have liked but still pretty happy with the effort that I was able to put in.  Team wasn't completely there, but we will be completely healthy soon! cooled down 2.5.

Ran the 25 minutes with the team after school.  Went 3.25 at 7:23 pace.  Then iced after.

Grass Relay's today was super sick!  I ran first, then Craik, then Justin, then Kaleb, and then Seth.  We watched the other people race and cheered for them and then warmed up.  I went out and decided that today was the day to see what I could do with Casey.  Stuck right next to him first mile but he made a move and I couldn't match and wasted so much energy trying to match.  Grant Gardner then passed me and it stayed like that the whole race.  Got 3rd out of the first runners and only Patrick and Mckay beat my time in other heats.  Pretty happy with my race.  Team got 4th and we should have done better but oh well.  We'll get it when it really matters.

Was gonna go more later tonight but I had work, then went to my other job, then partied hard at the black light dance and was destroyed so I didn't.

Hit 2:29, 2:23 2:24 2:26 2:22 and 2:15 for the last. Coach said we could speed up a little after 400 and then kick it in with 200 to go.

3.08 more at night,  Also got my back checked out, and the guy found that I had a rib that was messed up, as in it wouldn't expand when I breathed he worked on that and also my back.  So I should be ready for BYU

Tough day today but good.  Woke up and felt terrible and went to xc class thinking it was a distance run.  Found out that it was a workout so did a 2 mile warmup.  Then we had 6x800 which was fun.  Hit 2:23, 2:22, 2:22, 2:21, 2:23 and then a 2:13 hitting 70 then 63 for that one.  Then coach told us he wanted us to do a 400 just a 65-70 second pace.  So we did that and hit 65.  Quite a solid workout.  Justin and I ran the whole thing side by side so we just went with each other which was nice.

What a good time!  lol, Decided to try something different then go with AF, get dropped and finish behind them.  So Seth and I strategized to take it out hard... like 4:40 pace.  We ended up hitting 4:45, 12 seconds infront of the AF guys and Justin.  Then we kept the lead til about a mile and a half in and then Casey passed us.  I dropped from them but seth held on.  Then Seth dropped and I put a chase on him and passed him with about 1200 to go.  Then took it in, Patrick was coming back to me but he still was way infront of me.  But it was fun to try it out.  So shout out to Seth for doing it with me and all the spectators including coach courtney who were like what are those crazy guys doing, they are going out way too fast.

4x600 hills plus 6x400's.  Hills were raging fast.  We normally do them right around 1:58 but today it was 1:52, 1:53, 1:48, 1:53.  Then we ran to the track and did the 400's.  hit 66, 66, 64, 65, 64,then 67.  Pretty good workout today.  Achilles was a little tight but nothing too bad. Iced after.

Nice easy 6 miles.  To AF and back with a lap on the field.  Had some great "Crali" conversations.  They were hilarious and Craik had some funny sayings. And we basically roasted craik the whole time and just joked about Crali.   "Craik you're alergic to bee's so are you going to need steroids after sadie's with Ali byBEE."  "At least you weren't alergic when you got stung on your mouth so you can still kiss"  and many more.

Also ranked 17th in the nation... We need to step it up.  Pass Davis, Ogden, and Timpanogos.

Today was the day... I broke the tradition of doing bad at state for me!!!!  Lol, 23rd my sophomore year which wasn't actually too bad but I was wanting higher.  Then last year the good old 31st wasn't exactly my strongest race.  But today, I focused on that middle mile and was able to get through it fine!  Upset that I couldn't kick harder and get seth but it's alright, I'm happy!  Also shout out to our girls for raging and getting 3rd, just 16 points off of 2nd and 26 off of 1st.  and they got 3rd in the overall merge.  We got 2nd in 5a but in the overall merge we got 5th... so we got to work on that.  Got 1st team all-state and a medal so that was nice! Ryan had to leave after he told us that but courtney was there. Went 2:20, 2:20, 2:19, 2:19, 2:20, and 2:13. Felt like I could have run them all faster and also could have done 8 but Courtney said we were all done with that. Then we did 2x400. Went 61, and 62.
