| Worst run ever... I felt so exhausted. I don't know why I felt so dead but I did. We ran to russell's house since he didn't come so we got him out of bed and got him to run. Then he led us to some trails but the leaders didn't listen to him so we blazed our way through thorn bushes. Then we kept going and went up a little bit of hogs hollow but turned around and headed back after 4 miles. It was so hard.

| Today we ran down to the golf course by lone peak and went up that and went over by the wall. Then we headed down by Healey and went back on the trail. I felt good the first 2 miles then I felt awful. Then when we were at 3.7 miles we were on a single track trail and I was in the front so I had to go fast and then it just kind of got me going again and I felt good going fast. We went back pretty fast so overall it was good. My shins hurt a bit though so I will ice them.

| Today we ran the Black Trail. It is relatively flat. We ran at an average of about 7:15 pace because most of us are doing a 4th of July race. It hurt though cuz my legs still have been hurting so hopefully I can do well in the race tomorrow. I am going up to do the Kaysville 5k so I think that I will be racing a bunch of the Davis kids so that will be fun.
Good luck to everyone running a race tomorrow.

| We had the Kaysville 5k with my family today for the fourth of july. It was fun. I got there and saw a bunch of Davis kids were racing so I was bummed cuz that meant I wouldn't place as good. We started off and there was a pack of 4 of us that went out plus some little kid who sprinted the first 100 meters. We had already started to seperate a bit by about 400 meters. It was Justin Holt, Camren Todd, Logan Mckay, and me. Justin holt is some 29 year old that was sponsored. After about a mile in it was just us four then Justin and Camren went farther ahead and Logan and me were together. They stayed ahead the rest of the race but at that time Logan was leading me. Then I pasted him trying to catch the others but they were too far ahead. So I was about 30ish meters ahead of Logan for the rest of the race and I finished about a minute behind the winner. The course was a bit long but just barely. My shins were hurting a bit but not a ton until I jogged the course again and then my shins hurt so I only did 2.8 mile cool down cuz I cut the course a bit on my cool down. Then my family went to my uncles house and did a badminton tournament which I won. So that was fun.

| Today we went up the hill work out hill and then instead of heading toward 5 mile loop we went right and did some trail that led to mountain run. Then after that we went and did the Timberline loop to get us up to 7 miles.

| Today we did Middle Spring. It was good but yesterday I went over and played tennis and that made my shins hurt a lot. So instead of going the full 8 miles I turned back a little bit early cuz my shins were not doing well. We had strength training today and did some dips, push-ups, squats, and sit-ups.

| Today was a bunch of separate runs combined. It was fun. It was a nice slower pace which was nice so my shins could recover a little bit. Tomorrow we have hill work out so I'm excited for that. Should be a good time.

| Today we had our first workout of the year. We had a hill workout. It was a lot of fun. It is 666 meters. The first one I did was 2:35 and I thought that I was going to die because it felt so hard. Then next one I ran 2:30. It felt a lot easier because I had finally gotten fully warmed up. Then the next one I ran 2:28. Then the last one I ran a 2:26. It was a lot of fun. Hill workouts are my favorite work out.
At about 2:20 pm I went on a bike ride. It was just 10 miles because I felt a few rain drops so I headed back because I had my phone in my pocket.

| Today we did part of Hogs and then turned instead of going up hogs. My shin was hurting at the end so that was bad. A bunch of mom's made breakfast for us afterwords which was nice. It was pancakes, bacon, cantalope, watermelon, chocolate milk, and orange juice. It was good. Tomorrow we have an 11 mile run so that should be intense.

| Today was a good time. We did Hogs Hollow. We started at Legacy Park and then went up to hogs and ran a little bit of it. At 2.6ish miles we stopped and gathered everyone. Then we did a 2 mile tempo, all uphill. I had no idea how far the two miles were cuz I didn't have a gps watch with me so I was just running hard for a long time but then I thought we should be about 1.5 miles done and then Jamison called out 1 mile. So I knew I had a lot longer but then the next mile went by quick and I thought I still had a lot farther and Jamison stopped at 2 miles. It was hard but felt good to get some speed in. Then we finished off Hogs Hollow and went to sliding rock. Then we headed back and got a total of 11 miles.
Shout out to Jamison for beating me on the hill tempo.
In the afternoon I went on a 19 mile bike ride. It felt good and I was going pretty fast.

| So I have been gone at AFY the whole week and I was unable to train while I was up there. So this has been my first run for this week. Up at camp we walked and adventured a decent amount so I wasn't completely un-active but I just never specifically ran. AFY was the greatest experience ever. It was super spiritual and super fun. 6/8 boys that were in my group ran cross country. There were 4 from Lone Peak that ran, one from Riverton, and one from American Fork. Our group was super cool so that made it really fun.
Today we ran hogs. We didn't go super fast cuz it was just me justin, craik, trevor, steven, and for the first 2 miles Josh. After 2 miles Josh turned around because he wasn't feeling good. We went to the top and waited for steven a bit then ran down and went to sliding rock but we walked the hill up to sliding rock because we were lazy. We didn't go down it but we did get a drink. Then we ran back. It was a good run overall.

| Today we did Middle Spring. It was pretty awful cuz my knees hurt for the first part of the run but then I caught up once my knee had warmed up. My calves were really tight. Then my shin started hurting and then I slipped and hit my shin and hand hard on some small rocks. I got a little cut up but it was mostly the hit on my shin that hurt. Not a good run. We also did a light strength training. I'm probably going to go on a bike ride later today and do some more core.

| Today we did the first part of hogs but then continued on a different trail and went to suncrest and ran down that hill back to the park. It was a really good run. I felt so much better then yesterday. My calves were really tight but it was ok because it wasn't that hard of a run. My knees and shins didn't hurt during the run so that was amazing. Now I'm getting pumped about running again since I wasn't hurting so bad.

| Today we had a hill workout. It was hard because Lil' Warner wasn't there so I was leading it alone except the first one one of the JV kids, Seth Ririe, managed to keep up for the first 500ish meters but then he had to walk the rest of the hill. But overall a good workout with consistent times of 2:29, 2:30, 2:29, 2:30, 2:30.
After we went to help coach ryan move stuff from one model home to another.

| Today we did the first part of hogs then went left and went down and did timberline loop. Then we did timberline loop backwards and went around burgess 1.5 times then headed back. We were still about .5 miles short so we ran around the grass field at Legacy 2 times to bring it up to 8.
We also did strength training after.
