Today we did the timberline trail with all the new people who are joining.  We got like 60ish people that came.  It was a slow easy run today.  People who had already been running went 5 but my coach wants me healed so I was only supposed to do 2.5.  It was a good time.  We did an easy strength training afterwords. It was fun.

Today I ran with the JV kids cuz my coach wants me slowly getting more mileage cuz we don't know what is wrong with me.  I had to led the JV kids and I went 7:30 pace cuz I picked up some of the kids in the back multiple times.  It was good.  Tomorrow I'm hoping I'll be able to go up to the varsity group.  I just want to get better.  We did a few planks but nothing much.  I'll probably do some more abs and core stuff later today.

Today I was told to stay with the new kids since I still am not up to 100%.  We went 1.5 miles out and 1.5 back but I would pick up some of the slower new kids so I got like 1.75 miles on the way back.  Then we did some easy strength training and then did some sprints.  It was fun.  My legs didn't hurt much on the run but they were weak and they normally hurt after the run.

Today I pushed it to stay up with the varsity for the first two miles until I took the JV kids back.  I then did one extra mile to the dumpster and back.  The dumpster mile and the one with the varsity were quality miles then the one with the JV kids were a bit slow but I did a lot of pick ups with them so it wasn't too bad.

Stayed with the varsity today because it was a shorter run.  Then we played capture the flag with the girls.  I was sliding all over cuz it was on wet grass so I couldn't do it very well.  It was still a lot of fun. I'm hoping that I get some more energy and strength in my legs so I can start training cuz we have some big plans this year if we can all be healthy.

Longest run I have done in a long time.  The first part was really tiring but after the first 3.5ish miles it got easier.  We did the mountain but steven and I had to be back for a parade so we did the mountain but didn't turn around with the others to pick up the other guys who came.  Then I also walked about 2.2 miles in the parade.

We ran the Black Trail today.  It was the longest I have run in about a month and the fastest I have run a long distance at so it was a struggle.  My legs weren't too bad but they hurt just a little bit while running.  Normally my legs feel super weak and hurt but today it was just a small pain in them.

Today we did the mountain run.  We did it super fast.  It is a 6 mile loop and we did it in 37 minutes.  Then we went a quarter of a mile back to see if we could find steven whose leg was hurting and then we didn't see him so we came back to the park.  It was a tiring but good run.

Today we did part of hogs hollow but only the first part.  It was good.  Tomorrow I'm going on trek with my stake and will try to go running but who knows if I'll be able to.  Galen and I also got invited by the AF team to go run ragnar with them so I'm excited for that.

Ran up toward sliding rock but they wouldn't let us in there.  Then we ran down by the camels and then went into lambert and came out by tawny's hill.  Then we headed back to the park.  It was a good run.  My legs have started doing better so I hope they can continue to gain strength and not hurt as much.

Today I ran with American Fork because we needed to discuss the details of Ragnar.  It was fun.  They have a weird run style.  They start out really slow.  Then they pick it up for a bit. Then at 3 miles we stopped stretched and then their coach went off before us.  Then we ran and we picked up the speed a lot.  That is definitely not my style of running.  I just decided to keep a decent speed pace today what I was supposed to do.  I'm excited to run with AF for Ragnar.

I also got new shoes which was exciting.  They are heavier than my other ones so they will take a while to get used to but they feel good.

Today we did the wall. I was planning on just walking it but then I wanted to be the first to the top.  So I ran up it. I went pretty slow. I probably finished it in 4:55-5:00 range.  I finished a lot before everyone else.  Hills are a lot of fun.  Then we went back. Finished with the last mile at 5:40. It was pretty good.

I felt pretty awful today.  I had a cold where my nose is really stuffy and I have a ton of stuff in my throat so it was really hard to run. But I got through it. We went a pretty slow pace today which was nice.  It was around 7:05 average I think.

Today I ran with American Fork. It was fun.  When they go through tunnel things they start shouting and screaming really loud. It's weird.  We did 4 easy miles to get ready for ragnar. We ran with the girls from AF so the pace was relaxing.  I'll get another 7.7 miles tonight at Ragnar and then another 10 tomorrow.  It should be a lot of fun.  Hopefully my cold won't bug me while I run.  We are hoping to win the high school division which I think will happen because our team is super stacked.

When our van got handed off the slap bracelet we were 15 minutes behind davis.  We stayed that way til my leg where I was supposed to run 7.7 miles but I got lost and ran 8.4 miles but I was going faster than the Davis guy so I only lost 3 minutes and I ran .7 miles farther than him.  On this leg BYU's runner also got lost but he ran an extra 2.6 miles so that would stink to be him.

My first leg was at 11:30 last night.  My next leg was at 5:30ish.  It was a 6 mile leg.  It was all a slight up hill except 2 parts there was like a third of a mile down hill.  I got sick of the up hill but still maintained not a bad pace.  It was a lot of fun.

My last leg was so so so so so hot.  I was just glad that my average was below 6:00 because of the heat.  It was just 4 miles it had a slight climb for some of it but it wasn't bad.  But the heat was awful.  Before I had dumped water on me and within 5 minutes it was completely dried up.  It was crazy.  Running in the heat, having a cold, with under 2 hours of sleep, and not having full leg strength was really hard but was a lot of fun with the AF guys. 

Shout out to Mckay Johns who even though he doesn't have a blog he ran an 8:40 2 mile in during his 4 mile leg.  He was flying and was going as fast as our car at points.  For a small portion he was going 3:40 pace which is insane.

Not a super fast run.  Just went on a trail and travelled 4ish miles out then looped back around for a total of 7.25ish miles.  It was good.  We ran it in about 49 minutes.  We have been taking breaks to let people catch up but we really need to stop doing that because it killed me running 8.4 miles straight at ragnar.  We also did strength training today which we really need.  It was a good time.

Our coach told us we could only go 6 because Galen and I were tired from Ragnar but all the other guys decided to go 7 so I just went 7 with them.  We got lost and went through a river which was not fun but oh well.  The last 2.5 miles we went 5:40 average pace so we went decent speed.  My legs definitely don't have the strength they used to have.  I am worried about them because I really want to do well this season but I've lost so much speed that I used to have and so much strength.  I really hope I recover but I don't know if I will be able to this year.

Today we were supposed to go slower and have a recovery day but I was feeling really good so I pushed the pace a little bit but it was still not too fast.  At first I didn't feel too great but after 3 miles in I started feeling great.  It was a good run overall.

Today we did the extended mountain run.  It was a good time.  Last week I didn't get too much running in because of scout camp, but I got a lot of hiking, biking, and kayaking. Scout camp was a lot of fun but we lost a guy in the river so we had to call search and rescue.  We found him and he was just down stream from us.

Today we only went 6 miles.  It was really tiring.  I don't know why I felt so tired because yesterday wasn't that hard of a run.  It was a good time though.
