My Second leg was at 3 am and I did a 1 mile warmup and my thighs were tight! I had leg 17 this time and it was 4.4 miles with 1.5 down and flat and the rest all up a gradual hill. I missed hitting my watch from the first half mile. my time from 3.91 miles was 23:12 One mile cooldown.

My Third leg was 29 and I started at 9 am. The sun was out and it was about 55 degrees already! Very Nice. Im so jealous of this weather.  This leg was 4.95 miles and I did a 1 mile warmup and a 1 mile cooldown.

I went to the olympic oval and did an easy run of 6 miles 22 laps on there oversized track. I did a 400 yard run at marathon pace x 2.  It was excrutiating! It felt like my 4th leg of the ragnar relay!  That 11 hour drive was sooo long!  I got a nice little cold from James thank you very much! I think hes trying to thin out the moab competition! jk anyways ive been doubling up on vitamin c and throat lozenges. Thank you lybi for the cough drops!  Well Ive got to sweat out this cold so its off to bed!

Swam this morning. 2x300 meters. 1x200 meter. Felt very tired. I will run this evening.

I ran 7 miles this evening. the last 2 miles I did at a marathon pace. I couldnt get to a 5:30 mile like I wanted to. I averaged 6:30 miles and the last 2 miles were 5:52 and 6:05. I feel a bit of congestion coming on and I felt extremely tired.  Im still taking a ton of vitamin c's and some glucosamine for my knee.

By the way, I had a eye appointment which has been 5 years in the making. Ive been having some dry eye problems. So I got my eyes dilated and couldnt see worth a crap after.  I had my darkest set of sunglasses on and was running a blurry 7 miles. I could only make out the white line. Ill bet motorists thought I was a drunk runner or something!

I got up at 5:30 and did a spin class this morning and felt dizzy and almost puked. I am so messed up but Im still do moab half marathon tommorrow sick or not.  I thought I could kick this stupid cold before now.  Back to the vitamins!

I met up with Cody and Logan at the start. I attempted a warmup at a very slow pace and my lungs felt aweful.  I started out alot slower than last year, but it seamed like the competition was alot slower this year so it helped me.  Logan caught up to me after a few miles and gave me a good pace until mile nine when he kicked into gear and showed me whats up. He got a 3 minute gap in the last 4 miles on me. I honestly dont know how he does it.

Mile 1-5.21, 2-5.31 3-5.41, 4-5.51, 5-5.48, 6-5.41, 7-5.47, 8-5.46, 9-5.56, 10-6, 11-5.25, 12-5.58, 13-5.46

13th overall 2nd in age 1:16:04

It was a time that I was shooting for considering the weekend I had last week. I felt good about my time even though Logan left me in the dust like that! Unbelieveable! Nice going Logan, and Cody. We looked good at the start and by the way Cody Im sorry for taking the glory of the photo at the start. Next time is yours!

I swam 2-300 meter with a 5:45 and 6 minutes.

I then got kicked out of the pool by the old lady aerobics class. They Are Mean! You just stay out of their way or there will be hell to pay!

I poured 25 yards of concrete for a basement floor up emigration canyon.  I have to count that as some good quality workout.  Im tired and going to bed goodnight!

I swam at 7 this morning I did 5*300 yards 1st 300 @ 5.56, 1 min. rest. 2nd @5.52, 1 min. rest. 3rd @ 5.54, 1 min. rest. 4th @ 6.16, 1 min. rest. 5th @ 6.05, 1 min rest 100 yards at race pace of 1.20. 

I ran 3 miles on treadmill to try to get my phlem boiling. Sick huh?  Im considering not doing the Ogden 10 miler this sat. Ill have to see.  By the way for those Ive talked to about a serious race with lots of beer and dogs in it check this out!  I cant even qualify for it! www.baevents.net/bigmanrun/information.html It'll have you rolling! 200+pound athletes! very very funny! I would puke after the first station! And where the heck am I going to carry my tip money at?

Ok I started my evening run in the rain and ended up at the gym running on the treadmill. I did a total of 6 miles at a 7 minute pace. I actually feel good when I run but very congested. The lady on the treadmill kept looking at me like I was Clyde! Trying to clear my throat. Sorry Clyde no offense! Your all I look up to right now!  You just dont understand when your an idol what people will do to try to be like you!  Well thats it for me youve been a great audiance. (Bowing out on a high note)

Ran 5 easy miles at a 7.05 pace. Felt horrible at first for 2 miles.  Hocked a great big hairball loogy and felt better after that.  I will run the 10 miler tommorrow.  Ill see those ogden series runners tommorrow!  See ya!

I ran last night in south jordan and it was in the high 40's low 50's. When I got up to Ogden this morning it was 28 degrees and there was snow still on the ground there!  Man I cant believe the differance 35 miles makes.  I ran the 10 mile race today and I could feel congestion in my lungs when I did a 3 mile warmup.  I wanted to try to keep a 5.30 pace for the first 4-5 miles until the hills came up but my legs were too tired from last week. I kept a short distance from Adam the whole race until mile 7.  That is the most brutal hill climb any 10 mile race can have it slowed my times to 7 minute miles.  Then, right at mile 7 Jon flipped his roller skates from under his shoes and said "see ya later suckers!"  Im going to have a review board look at it. Its deffinately suspicious!  Adam kept with him for a bit and then extended the lead from myself.  The last mile had about 2/10 of a hill climb and I thought maybe I could gain some time on Adam but my legs told me I was freekin crazy.  I had Chad right on my heels and I wanted to try to sprint the last .25 mile but there was so  much black ice and slick on the finish that I actually slowed way down.  That course was very dangerous! Very slick and I lost traction alot!  Almost fell several times! This race was too close to Moab. Thats all I got to say about that!

My time was around 1:00.27

Sorry I didnt run with you guys after, I had to cough my lungs up! Ill see ya out at the half!

Our Team finished 2nd,3rd,4th,5th, and I think cody came right in 6th.

I think I have a sinus infection.  I may go see a doc tommorrow.

Swam this morning 1800 yards. 4x400 1x200

1st 400:7.57, 2nd 400: 8.00, 3rd 400: 8.02, 4th 400:8.15 Then a 200 cool down

Ran 4 easy miles. It was very cold this morning. probably due to the fact I had wet hair. I know I know, know wonder im sick huh? 7am

4:50 pm--Ran 10 easy miles at a 6.48 pace. Wow this weather is finally looking up.

6 pm--I did a 1 hour spin class at the gym and counted that as 10 bike miles.

I ran 5 easy miles this morning at a 7.05 pace.  Im suprised at how I can run a faster pace in the evening.  It took a few miles to get my legs to loosen up.

I ran 6 miles at 6:30 tonight with the runamoks team.  We did hill climbs repeats over a 6 mile course which was very well planned out.

Ok I swam 1600 yards this morning.  I did 1-500 yard in 9.51, 1-500 yards 10.15, 1-500 yards 10.20, 1-100 yard in 1.38.

I ran 6 miles on the boring treadmill mill. I started out at 6.5 mph and worked up to 8.5 mph by  the 3 mile mark, then I increased the grade .5 every .25 miles and ended up at 4% grade by mile 6. 

I hope that substituting swimming for extra miles doesnt hold me back in Boston.  I feel like my core and my shoulders are alot better then before.

I started my run at 6pm and ran 13 miles in a time of 1 hour and 26 minutes. My average pace per mile was 7.17.  It was a bit windy tonight and it felt like i was grinding it out for the last  3 miles.  I usually finish stronger the closer I get to my house so my neighbors think im fast!  you have to understand my neighborhood. its keeping up with the Jones' here and since cash seems to not be growing on my trees I have to give them something to try to keep up too!  Thats my 2cents im  out!

I started my 18 mile run at 4:15 am this morning so I could make it to spin class.  I felt extremely tired at first but warmed up after 4 or so miles. My average pace was 7.05 and I ran from mile 5-6 at a 6.15 pace and mile 9-10 at a 6.17 pace.  I was stocked by a driver at 4:30 this morning, he actually pulled up behind me in the oncoming lane and was driving behind me.  I have no idea what he was doing or if he thought I was a Hot Chic! I had my beanie on so he might of thought I was a very nicely figured lady!  I had my headlamp on and turned around and when he saw my face and realized I was indeed a MAN he left me alone.  It gave me the idea to start putting the 7 oclock shadow on girls when they run alone!

Ran 4 easy miles at a slow pace this morning

Speed workout at the oval tonight.  1 mile warmup

1*1600@5.11, 1*1200@3.54, 1*800@2.43, 1*400@1.12, 1*400@1.10, 2 miles of cooldown. Felt like garbage tonight.  I tried some oxygenated water before running and it gave me a stomach ache. This stuff is from Lindon, Utah and its called "perfect essentials" they told me I would win Boston if I drank this.  I got on their website and I dont think you can buy this without a salesperson.  The salesperson reminded me of the episode on carol burnette show with Tim Conway when he was trying to sale some shoes and told the customers they made them look several feet taller. He would lower the chandelier after they put them on.  I hope some blogger out there remebers that.  Im not that old!  Anyways, I guess im waiting for the chandelier to be lowered for me or the kenyans to slow down for me this year in Boston!  They didnt tell me i'd break the course record or anything, just win!

Ran 1 mile on treadmill to loosen my tight legs.

 Started my evening run at 4:45.  I ran 11 miles with a 6:35 split. I meant to make it a recovery run but I didnt want to be late for a spin class at 6 pm. I then did a 1 hour spin from 6-7 and then went to scouts to find they had canceled. So now Im home r&r.

I did 6 miles this morning. 1 mile warmup, 10 minute tempo @ 11mph on treadmill. 6 min. @6.5 mph, 5 min. @ 11mph. 1 min @ 6.5mph, 1 min @ 11mph. 1.5 mile cooldown.

My legs feel very tired today but I feel like my congestion is finally starting to leave my body. It took for ever!

I did hill kills with runamoks and ended up running 6 miles. I got a jamba juice and its "miller time" of course without the beer.

The weather was bitter cold this morning, so they decided to do a reverse order in the race.  They did the 3 mile run first, 11.3 bike second, 300 yard swim last. I felt good on the run and gave myself a good lead on everyone. I jumped on the bike and proceeded to do the 11.3 miles.  I was immediately passed. It was a two loop bike race and on my second loop I was passed by another 4 bikers.  I hung my bike up and ran to the pool which was inside and when I jumped in the pool it felt like a hot tub!  It was extremely difficult to swim after exerting  myself. I was passed by a couple of other guys making me finish 9th overall, and 2nd in age.  I met up with Logan and his wife was competing in it! I told him my hopes of winning it but I ended up whining more than winning!  I know I could have shaved a ton of time off if the event was reverse order.  I did this same race in logan last year with a way better time and my swim was not as good as it is now.  It was good to see Logan down there and his wife and I ended up winning a 2 lb twinlab whey protein fuel suplement. I talked to a bunch of guys down there and explained the fastrunning blog, so Ill hope to see them on it.

What a crappy day to wake up to!  I ran 12.2 miles total this morning.  I ran 3 on the indoor track, then 3 on a treadmill, then 4 on the indoor track and finally 2.2 on the treadmill. Very Very boring run!  I averaged around 7:30 miles.

Ran 6.25 miles at the oval.  1 mile warmup 5*1200's with 90 second rest. 1.5 mile cooldown.

1)3.54, 2)3.58, 3)3.57, 4)3.56, 5)3.57.  I shortened my interval rest time and noticed that I was not wiped out.
