Ok I swam 1600 yards this morning.  I did 1-500 yard in 9.51, 1-500 yards 10.15, 1-500 yards 10.20, 1-100 yard in 1.38.

I ran 6 miles on the boring treadmill mill. I started out at 6.5 mph and worked up to 8.5 mph by  the 3 mile mark, then I increased the grade .5 every .25 miles and ended up at 4% grade by mile 6.

I hope that substituting swimming for extra miles doesnt hold me back in Boston.  I feel like my core and my shoulders are alot better then before.

I started my run at 6pm and ran 13 miles in a time of 1 hour and 26 minutes. My average pace per mile was 7.17.  It was a bit windy tonight and it felt like i was grinding it out for the last  3 miles.  I usually finish stronger the closer I get to my house so my neighbors think im fast!  you have to understand my neighborhood. its keeping up with the Jones' here and since cash seems to not be growing on my trees I have to give them something to try to keep up too!  Thats my 2cents im  out!

Walt, How are things going. Are you finding more time for training now that buisness has slowed?

From Walter on Thu, Mar 20, 2008 at 14:47:35

Oh yes for sure steve! I was thinking of running with you guys but my kids are doing an easter egg hunt at 9 so I dont think I can do it and make it back in time. Ill catch up to you guys one of these times.

Thanks for the welcome. Good to know you have connections in Hawaii too! Are you a triathlete or do you just swim for a change? Does that help your running do you feel?

From Walter on Thu, Mar 20, 2008 at 20:10:40

Hey Sariah, I am a marathon runner but I did a few sprint triathlons last year and was hooked on them. I want to do an Ironman tri in the near future. I am getting better on the swim and hopefully I can get my bike out more this year. Its nice to mix things up a bit though!

A nice well rounded day Walter. Great mileage to boot. I look forward to your Boston report.

Thanks. I'll try that.
