pm--11.5 I really didn't feel like running all day and was in a bummer mood most of the day. One of the more productive things I did was sort through all the old RWs and dogear each of Ed Eyestone's articles. This came in handy later when I finally got my butt out the door to run. I went over to Mathis Park, intending on running a few laps around the grass and then heading home. But the grass was saturated, and, after I was warmed up a bit, I was feeling super. So I used some of the knowledge I gained from Mr. Eyestone and hit a timed fartlek--10, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 w/ equal recovery jog in between. I started at 7:30 pace and knocked it down to under 6:15 for the last one. The knock down was roughly :15 per bout. The workout felt great. There's nothing like the mood swing that a good run can bring. |
