pm--2 Easy afternoon. I slept in a couple hours to give my body a chance to fight the runny nose I had over the weekend. 

am--2.5 Lava Flow w/ a good crew. 
 

pm--3 Won the scavenger hunt w/ Jax, Addy, Carys, and Abi.

am--5 Old morning route before heading up north for pre-state. Felt decent.

am--4.5 Sandy route by my lonesome, running on low sleep because of a cluster headache. It was fun to see the new state course, and, as usual, some kids were up, some were down.

am--4 Heights w/ the level 2 boys. It's nice to mix it up once in a while. 
 

pm--4 Anasazi to the top w/ the hound. She did great at double the mileage of the last outing. She did balk once because she needed a potty break. It's fun to have a trail buddy. 
 

I finished a great book today, Clint Smith's How The Word Is Passed: A Reckoning with the History of Slavery Across America. Very thought provoking and more evenhanded than Coates's book. It's a must read for history buffs and humans in general.

am--4.5 Bear Claw Poppy from the bottom. Decent morning. 100th trail run of the year.
