I also finished my annual read of Ender's Game. I still love it.

| | am--7.25 Rim Circuit. It's been a while, and I realized that there is a certain comfort on these trails. It was a bit windy but warmer than recent days. When I left the trailhead, the bikers were converging. There wasn't enough parking space for all of them. Saw plates from a few different states. I'm wondering what these people are doing here on a random weekend in November.
pm--6.25 Anasazi to the homestead w/ Tom. Awesome as always. Kind of interesting that my 2 longest runs of the week were in the same day. Maybe, I should double a time or 2 every week.

| | pm--6 Variation of usual morning route w/ a slip into a construction trench in the dark. No damage, thankfully. Other than some tenderness in my left achilles, I felt pretty good.

| | pm--7.5 Sidewinder and back from the blacktop. Nearly 800 ft. of climbing before flipping. I have about 800 m (~2,400 ft.) of vert in 10 days. It boggles my mind that someone on Strava has 27,000+ m in the same time. What do his quads look like? What does he do for a living? Fun to wonder.

| | pm--6 Anasazi w/ Chipmunk. I've never taken that side trail before. It was just an old road, so maybe not as exciting as the route to the homestead, but was okay. My watch acted up for the first mile as far as the elevation gain goes. That's frustrating. I liked my previous Suunto for that exact reason, but this watch hasn't been quite the same standard. That being said, I got some decent climbing today.

| | pm--6.25 Anasazi to homestead at a decent place. Nice afternoon. 20x leg extensions, 20x squats, 10x push-ups, and 30-sec. plank after.
I finished The Drawing of the Three by Stephen King. It picks up the Dark Tower series quite a bit from The Gunslinger. The SK appeal is tangible.

| | pm--6.25 New Heights loop w/ 20 minutes of progressive tempo, working from 7:45 to 7:15. It's fun to see that happen at the end of a run that starts out rough.

| | pm--6.25 I combined my newer morning route w/ some grass loops. Left the shoes on this evening because my achilles was a bit iffy. I figured it wasn't the wisest idea to barefoot anything. That being said, I felt pretty good most of the run.

| | am--6.25 Anasazi for the 4th time this week. I took it easyish but could feel some fatigue. The trails are great. It's fun to see some regular denizens in the dirt.
Happy Thanksgiving.

| | am--6.25 Anasazi all week. I also hit the 10k-a-day plan for the 2nd week in a row. Good convo w/Tom today.
I also finished Leading with the Heart by Coach K.--it's one of the better coaching books I've read--and Romance of the Grail by Joseph Campbell. I need to remember to keep Campbell, probably Vonnegut, too, in a regular rotation. They keep me grounded.
