| | am--1.5 Weights/Harts. Alli brought the humor. Py and Jess brought the dancing.
pm--5.5 Just some running on my own, which is kind of nice sometime, before the Autumn Classic.
I finished Eat & Run by Scott Jurek. He talks a lot about his motivations and passions. Most resonate with me. Although he's vegan, he's not too preachy. I actually enjoyed the eating aspects as much as the running aspects because this old body keeps telling me that what I eat does affect how I feel and move. I just might try some recipes in the next few weeks.

| | am--6 I rode my bike to my parents' and dropped down to the Anasazi Trail. It's been a while since I've been out there. The legs and lungs need more of that. The soul could use it as well. Overall, I got about 90 minutes of movement.

| | am--2.5 Bank and back. It was actually cold this morning, like see-your-breath cold.
pm--7.5 A run w/ 3 progressively faster miles thrown in, one every 20ish minutes. It really felt pretty easy, other than pushing up 2450. The kids are looking fit. Banquet was tonight. It's always a special time to celebrate the awesome things our kids do.

| | am--1.5 Weights/Harts+. Some good chatter and lovely folks.
pm--6 Green Springs. It's been a while, but I always love running up there. Voted when I got home. With the mailed ballots, there are fewer polling areas. The line was longer than I'm used to, but it was good.

| | am--3.5 Ran a bit w/ the workout girls and then bank and back. On the way back, we spotted a towering inferno. A garbage truck had dumped its flaming cargo in the parking lot of the shopping center.
pm--6.5 Some running before, during, and after the kids workout. Good stuff from the kids.

| | am--3.75 Reverse DI/Harts/Jada loop. I ran a bit before practice because we're going a little later this week.
pm--6 Good run up the Sugar Loaf road. We're fast, fit, and strong. The pace on runs gets stouter w/out any extra effort. Big group today, as well.

| | am--5 Truncated morning route. Just a nice solo jaunt. I need one of these every once in a while.
pm—4.5 A cruise along Route 66 in Flagstaff.
While riding on the bus, I finished Shadow Puppets by Orson Scott Card. Decent. I’m more of a fan of Ender than Bean.

| | am--3.5 Pizza Hut and the bank. Real skeleton crew today. Many folks seem to be diving into their break.
pm--1.5 Literal trash run around Costco. Addi organized a clean-up project for a class assignment. It was a blast picking up trash and looking for outlanish items.
Yesterday, I finished Draft No. 4 by John McPhee. Amazing. I love his writing. Perhaps, no subject exists that he couldn't spruce up and make appetizing.

| | am--1.5 Weights and neighborhood. Chill and fun. Had some trash talking among the boys about who might take the Dream Mile title this year.
pm--5 Good run w/ some uptempo running and even some "race pace" stuff. It might actually be fun to train for and race someday again. We'll see how my lower legs feel tomorrow.

| | am—7.5 Happy Thanksgiving! I ran from near the mall to the cemetery in Orem and set one foot or so on the MCT and flipped. The morning was overcast and warm, so I was a bit overdressed. (I was expecting low 20’s and snow.) I’m thankful for family, friends, running, reading, and so much more.

| | pm--5 Some miles in the achey evening. I hit the snooze this morning--bad way to start the day--and struggled to get out when I got home. I finally did get some cruising in.
I finished Shadow of the Giant by Orson Scott Card. It's the last of the Bean Quartet and nearly my favorite of the four. Ender's brother, Peter, plays a bigger role, and I like the Ender connections more than the Bean connections. Finishing this book may signal a reprieve from Card for a while, at least until I return to Ender's Game. I love that book.
