Mumbai, on the west coast of India, hosted the 9th edition of the Standard chartered Mumbai Marathon. The weather was great at and the race started on time (5:40) with some 2500 runners in the open category.

My Target was under 5:00 hours as i did not want to put any pressure on myself with a specific number. strategy was to ensure i run at a pace 9-9.5k / hour.

I did it in 4:43 and am very pleased with what i achieved as this was 30 minutes better than my last one in 2011 at the same venue and this was my first one wiht VIBRAMS.

Great job on your accomplishment! Wanted to let you know that marathon distance is actually 26.2 mi. Don't cheat yourself of that 0.2 mi. ! :)

Excellent job! I love KSOs. They are my favorite Vibrams. What are your next goals? What your 2012 schedule look like?

@Joebell1981 thanks, yes indeed I rounded down .2 but there were no such option on the road ;-)

@Benn same here, I just love the KSO, this was my first race in a pair of Vibrams, there were no cramps during the race, was a given in earlier FMs, and the recovery was was great.

Next year goals? To train better, stay injury free and see if I can do a FM in 4:30 or lesser. Have yet to give my goals more thought.

Thanks for the encouragement.
