Favorite Running Quotes:
1.
"Sooner or later the serious runner goes through a special, very personal experience that is unknown to most people.
Some call it euphoria. Others say it's a new kind of mystical experience that propels you into a elevated state of consciousness, a flash of joy.
A sense of floating as you run. This experience is unique to each of us, but when it happens, you break through a barrier that separates you from casual runners. Forever. And from that point on, there is no finish line. You run for your life. You begin to be addicted to what running gives you."
~Nike Poster
2. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
You’ve no doubt heard this. And you’ve probably recited it in your mind on a run or at the gym when you’re just beginning to get in shape. You have a goal in sight and this quote brings you back to the current moment.
But the problem is that many runners forget all of the steps between the first one and the goal. If your goal is to run under two hours for the half marathon then you need to be honest about all of the little steps to get to that goal.
You should have goals, but you should take it one step at a time. And you should be honest about the fact that you don’t know how many steps it will take to get there. ~ Vernon Gambetta

| WALK/RUN: 3.66 miles - 38:26 minutes (1x5 min walk to 5 min run, 3 4 min walk to 6 min run) I set my alarm at 4:25am to go to the 4:50am power pump class. But I quickly turned it off and went back to bed. So I had to hussle when my hubby got home from work. I run SO much faster outside. Usually, I run on the TM a 10:20 mile (slow, I know, but trying to come back easy). But today, I was averaging 9:00 - 8:30 miles. It felt so great to go at a normal speed. I hope I don't pay for it later on.... Ankle feels good

| WALK/RUN: 4.4 miles in 50 minutes (5 min walk to 5 min run x1 ~ 4 min walk to 6 min run x4) This is the furthest I've gone since January. Hooray! I went a bit faster today on the TM and did ankle exercises between each set. I made an appointment with the PT tomorrow just because....a lot of reasons. Ankle feels good today, but still not getting excited yet.

Power pump class today. My arms are so sore! I had two of my neighbors come too! They put their little ones in the daycare, so my little one was happy to have friends. FANTASTIC! I really wanted to get a run in, but I have Pack meeting tonight. I also go and see the PT.

| WALK/RUN: 3.68 miles, 41 minutes (4 minute walk to 6 minute run) I saw the physical therapist yesterday to ask for more advice regarding my ankle (or WHY ISN'T IT HEALING FASTER). He used these special tools (they looked like dull butter knives) and he "scraped" my ankle with coco butter. OUCH! But after the initial hurt went away, it felt really great. Probably the best it has felt in the past 9 months. I didn't want to get too excited, but...... It felt good when I ran on it this morning. Tomorrow I'm going to try to run more and walk a little less. I am going to go back in for more scraping next week. |

| WALK/RUN: 4.57 miles - 50 minutes (1x4 min walk to 6 min run and 4 x 3 min walk to 7 min run). I upped the speed a bit today and the legs felt great. More importantly the ankle felt really great too. Again, I feel like I am progressing and not stagnant! BIKE: 12.43 miles in 49:24 minutes. Golly gee I'm slow on a bike!! I went a new route today and it was fun to explore.
