| | Began @ warm 65 degrees. Wore new Saucony outfit...loved the light weightness of the entire ensemble. Ran with Alisa & Alana - and kept a nice overall pace of 9:02 (3 hours and 1 minute on the dot). Felt all sorts of aches and pains (left outside knee tight, hip flexors tight) but all worked themselves out and I feel GREAT! I did take an ice bath - that helps me a ton. |

| | So I went out to do the 'shake out' run from long one yesterday and felt my hamstring pull really tight, almost like it could hurt. At this point in the game - I think rest is best... |

| | First leg in Grand Teton Relay!! It was 97 degrees, dusty, sandy, rocky dirt road. Tough to run fast - belly was still ill from the week. 9:47 pace and it was HARD :) | Add Comment |
| | Second leg of GTR ~ 2:30 a.m. It was so dark, gravel road for half then trail for the second half. Happy to follow another gal running in the dark. We wore reflective vests, blinking lights and head lamps. Greg & Rex were 10-2a.m. volunteers so that was GREAT to see them! 8:47 pace (which was crazy b/c when a truck passed me - there was no way to see through the dust!) Third leg of GTR ~ 11:19 a.m. Getting warm again and started the run up the Jackson Hole pass. Traffic was intense, trees were amazing and the Tetons were spectacular. Our host families were amazing to shower, feed and rest our weary bodies. My team was a blessing how well everyone got along and how much crazy, crazyness fun we had. YES I would do this again in a heartbeat! | Add Comment |
