| | Ran with Shelley, perfect weather today! We ran west side out to County Line road then cut over to East River Road, loop into Freeman and home. 21 miles with AP of 8:47 (pretty dang excited about how good and steady that pace felt!! Nervous that @ mile 19 I had to stop and really stretch out, my IT band was really pulling around my knee...like pain. Then drank some red power aide and felt amazing, but the last quarter mile it really hurt. Feels fine now after ice bath and rolling and stretching. I will continue with stretching and really focus on rolling, icing and stretching well for the next few weeks. Overall, I feel amazing and ready to tackle the day with my family!! |

| | Started out where I stopped at mile 4...had an average pace of 9:10, and wanted to turn and go home. I did a self check...felt fine, just heavy legs. I took my only gel I had with me and picked up the pace. I ended up feeling so good that I added another 2 miles onto what should have been a 13 mile run :) Oh Happy Day! so overall, ap was 8:48 ~ I feel so dang goooood |

| | What an amazing run with amazing women! Ran with Alisa & Shelley - up Sunnyside 7 mile then back down to Ammon road - headed south til 97th then west for home. Nice rollers, for hill training in the middle. Where I had been ill all week, I wasn't going to go the full 20 (like half in fact) but then felt awesome halfway - pushed myself in a great way! 8:30 average pace (feeling like a rock star right now) crazy to think we celebrated a year ago when we would run 5 miles at this pace (and couldn't talk - we talked the entire first 12/13 miles). So grateful for the running women in my life to encourage and push me to a better, faster runner! Alana was missed this morning! |

| | Ran early morning run with alana. Getting caught up on the blog - been awhile - I will just back log miles at this point. Since my accident from last saturday, my chest on the right side still really hurts for pushing or lifting. couldn't talk on the run this morning, but it was so nice to be in sync with alana's foot steps and have our peace of mind before diving into the busy day. I really love running. |

| | Went to run 10 miles with the girls. Pain was so great in my chest I turned back. Had a hard time driving home. Finally sunday morning I went into the doctor. Have been really struggling with pain especially at night while lying down. I had broken a rib - upper right chest. Most likely cracked it in my fall last week, then snapped a clean break after lifting a bag of potatoes. I am now resting and recovering. Pain medication is helping. St. George Marathon is in 6 days. I won't be going down with my running crew, which makes me sad. However, I love living in God's plan and am curious as to what I may learn and grow from while being forced to rest, reflect and heal. I am so grateful for my friends and family to lift me up at this time. |
