Today's run put the Landreth at 600 miles, should have retired the shoes a long time ago.  Anyway ran up the La Verkin Twist Trail and got up on top and then ran down to the Virgin River and came out at Pah Tempe.  A nice 9 mile run with some good hills and some slow parts climbing over rocks and around trees.  I had to cross the river and it was kind of interesting, just due to the fact we've had a lot of rain and the river was running a lot faster than usual and I was actually a little concerned where to cross.  I eventually found a place where the water wasn't running as fast.  I threw my ipod and garmin across to the other side in case the water was deeper than I was expecting.  In the end the water only came up to my waist so no swimming needed.  Anyway good run and good way to start off the week.  Starting to get nervous about the marathon.

Basketball this morning 3 on 3 full court.

This evening I ran up to McKell's and then over to Hurricane City Park and then back via Main Street, extended over to Maverik in La Verkin to make it 6.  Nice evening for a run, cooler temps and a little bit of rain.

 2 mile warm-up

Did 5 x 1000m at the cow field.  I tried to measure out the distance exactly but kept having issues with the Garmin coming up exactly every 400 m split.  By the 3rd repeat I finally settled on a finishing spot that seemed the most accurate, now I just need to go back a mark it.

1-3:42

2-3:42

3-3:40

4-3:49

5:3:50

1 mile cool-down

For some reason I never really felt like I got going in this workout.  Each repeat just seemed like a struggle

18 miles down the course started at the top of Veyo.  I actually felt pretty good, took it easy the first 4 and then a good push until I hit town.  I struggled some once I got into town, but still finished in 2:11:08 (7:18 pace)  I would have been closer to 7:00 but like I said struggled the last 3.

Got home at 2 in the morning from Payson, so I decided to bag the early morning run. Instead I slept in and then got up at 10:00 and had Sunny drive me up to Rockville.  I did a nice 15 mile run from Rockville to the La Verkin.  I started off feeling pretty good, but struggled a little the last few miles before the drop into La Verkin.  I finished just under 2 hours, so nothing to get excited about.

Ran down through Confluence Park this afternoon.  Spent about 15 minutes soaking in the river, which felt really nice.  The water temperature is definiately changing.

Ran 20 this morning down the course with Bill.  He was kind of enough to hang back and encourage me along.  I haven't done a 20 miler in quite some time, so happy I was able to get one in before the marathon.  I hit 2:29:00 (7:27).  Actually felt pretty good for most of the run, a few stomach issues the last two miles.  Also my left hip was hurting for half of the run, still over all I was pretty happy with the effort.

Enjoyable run this evening.  I drove up to the radio towers just above Hurricane and did 5 miles on the rim trail.  I'm not much of a trail runner, but it was nice to do something different, plus I was able to get away from everything and just enjoy being out running by myself so that was nice.

Kind of bummed with this workout.  Had to deal with a very strong headwind.  Sunny drove me out to Anderson Junction I decided to do 1 mile warm-up down to mile marker 5 then a 4 mile tempo

1-6:02 should have been a lot faster

2-6:17 about what I usually do for this mile, not as much wind running through Toquerville

3-6:45

4-6:09 too much wind again

25:17 (6:19 avg)

Did a 2 mile cool-down extended over by gravel pit.

A lot of personal issues going on today.  I tried to get out for a few miles, but even on my run I couldn't get issues off my mind.  I only did 3 out on Spring Road in Toquerville parked at the church and did an out and back.
