| | No run today. Moving took a lot of energy in and out of the house. | Add Comment |
| | Exelent run with the lads (steve, dustin, bill) down a amazing trail. I felt good the whole way. Pushed it at random parts of the run. By far the best run of '06 for me. | Comments(2) |
| | I went out to discover new running paths around our new neighborhood and had planned on going 5-6. I ended up going up around Green Springs golf course then catching a trail up to the water tower and coming back down by the industrial park. I felt pretty good. Although on the run last Saturday I jumped of a rock about 5 feet tall and bruised my heel and it has been sore all weekend and bothered me a little on this run. | Comments(4) |
| | A rainy cold run in St.George. We ran a pretty good pace most of the run. For the most part the track was very flat, with the exeption of a mile hill. Half mile up one side and half mile down the other. I had guessed that we had run about 7 but Steve was once again really close by his 9 mile guess. | Add Comment |
| | Went out against the wind on a uphill, sandy track. I know this sounds like a story from your Grandfather but it was murder. All of it hurt, most of it was slow, and none of it was easy. | Comments(5) |
| | I did a little loop run out on a desert trail by my house. I felt a lot better than the day before. It ended up being 6.6 miles, then I came home and switched into some new race shoes and did 1 mile out and 1 back just to get use to the shoes a little before the Spectrum 10k next week. | Comments(3) |
| | I went out in the worst snow storm I've ever seen in the STG. People around here say for it to storm all day it pretty rare. Anyways I ran a short distance and called it a day. Hopefully tomorrow will be good enough to get some miles in. | Comments(1) |
| | Not the best run for me, but I got the miles in. | Comments(5) |
| | I want to do a little cross training and see how my body works with that. So I ran 6 miles from my house to my in-laws house. Then road a bike a longer 9 miles back to my house. Pretty good workout. Body feels like its getting stronger. I have pain in the back of my knee or the top of my calf. I can't figure out which one it is. If I could get rid of that pain I'd feel great. | Add Comment |
| | Ran with Steve and Bill. The run was pretty good. Some dirt trail and the rest on the streets of STG. I feel ok just don’t have the kick from last week. Instead of running and feeling loose and ready I feel more like I'm laboring just to stay with the pack. Steve really looks like a different runner. Both on our Saturday run, and last night he looks strong. Maybe we all should go sledding and quench our thirst with some MaGiC JuIcE. | Comments(4) |
| | I went against my game plan for the week and did a long run. I just could not say no the nice sunny afternoon. It was soo nice after work. So I put on my skimpiest running outfit and hit the trail. I ran most pretty much the same 10 miler that kicked my butt last Wed... I just added a different trail somewhere along the line and add a mile and a half or so. I felt pretty good. Really didnt try and run hard. If I pushed it at all it was from miles 7-10. My knee is a little sore now (morning after). Hopefully it will work its self out with time. | Comments(2) |
| | Wanted to take it easy...So I road a bike 6.3 miles to warm up then went out and did 5 miles of running. Pretty sore on the run. May take Friday off to try and heal for the race on Sat. I think I'm overall really improving. My weight is down to where I want to be. My lungs feel like they are getting stronger. I just need to work on my overall strength. Now that I'm down to my desired running weight I think I'll lift more weights to try and keep some strength. With the 10-12 pounds I've lost in the last 3 weeks I feel I've also lost some strength. | Add Comment |
| | Ran the Spectrum 10k. Did one mile of warm up. Time of 37:16. I really felt good and was pleased with the race. Considering I've felt horrible all week. I should have pushed harder the last mile...I just felt like I was going to throw up if I pushed it harder than the pace I was going. I think I need to do some speed work. This vomiting thing happens too often at races. Speed work would help my body get use to pushing it that hard...I don't konw? I biked a total of 16 miles this week. So I'll add 4 easy mies to my week total. | Comments(5) |
| | Did some of the T'Bone trail backwards. The whole run I was thinking how nice it was to be running for the first time in forever and not have some part of my body hurting. Then with a mile left my left forfoot started throbbing out of the blue. I have no idea why, even now (morning after) it kills. I honestly dont know what my problem is with shoes and feet this year but its honestly really frustrating. | Comments(4) |
| | Ran with Dustin and Steve. We ran a good nice and easy run. Pushed the last mile or so. Feel good (morning after). The run was 8.7 and we did .4 more in a cool down. | Comments(1) |
| | All day at work I wanted to get out and run. So I left an hour early and went home to gear up for my "Big loop" run. The first three miles are a good warm up as they are uphill. Then the next 7 are on trail and dirt roads. The pace on those is a little slower because I don't want to tweek my ankle. The last part is on paved roads back to the house. Its a good run. I'll try and keep that as one of my weekly training runs. | Comments(5) |
| | ran with my wife . | Comments(2) |
| | Ran with Dustin, and Bill. We just ran nice and steady. I felt good. No pain to mention. Just a good 20 mile run. | Comments(2) |
| | Ran out and back from my house. Up past the water tank. about 2 miles out I ran into Dustin who was just coming off the T'bone trail. Then we went up two more miles. I pushed hard the last two on the way home, about 5:35 min mile pace. It felt good to run hard. All two miles of it is downhill, so I was able to just let it go. I'm feeling pretty strong, no major "hurts". I hope to stay on this path through Boston and into the summer. I feel if I stay this focused and strong I'll be in good shape come the STG Marathon. | Comments(2) |
| | Ran with the Club. We ran from the park to the Dixie Center path. Dustin and I went on around Formaster, while Steve and Bill went up RR. Dustin and I went about 7.6, at pretty easy pace. Dont want to push anything hard and get hurt for Boston. I did 1 lap at park warm up to bring my total up to 8. | Add Comment |
| | I didn't really want to go on this run...but went to try and keep my weekly mileage up. Two miles into the run I ran into Bill who was coming off the T'bone trail...This seems like a popular place this week. I didn't loosen up very well before my run so I was really tight and had to stop and stretch. The whole run took me forever today. I had rain the last 3 miles. It wasn’t fun but I’m glad I got the run in. Knee is starting to feel better (now Thursday morning) than it was Tuesday or on the run Wednesday night. I wore a little knee strap thing that seemed to provide some better support. | Comments(3) |
| | I ran a inter city loop. Left home and went to the Blv down to 400 E. Then took 700 S. over Formaster and followed the road past Costco under the freeway and back home. I didn't expect to go that far. I was trying out a new pair of shoes and it felt so good. Later that night I felt like my body was at zero for energy. I'll have to take it easy on Friday and give myself a chance to recharge. | Comments(1) |
| | Did an easy 4 miles around my house. It was rainning and cool but I put on my winter gear and slugged along. | Add Comment |
