Russian champion tries Crocs, commits to racing a marathon in them

Nikolay Chavkin in the video below did 3x1000, first two in Adidas carbon-fiber models, the last one in Crocs. Surprised by the result (2:52, 2:52, 2:50) with the fastest interval done in Crocs, he committed to racing a marathon in Crocs if the video gets 42K likes and 195 comments (for 42 km 195 m, the marathon distance). Nikolay's current marathon PR is 2:14:00. The video was created by a Russian sporting goods store chain. Their moto is "more sports - brighter life", which we think is wonderful, and also deserves a Like. If you want to see a fast marathon in Crocs, go to the video and click the Like button. And make sure to share it with your friends.

I'm out in Mississippi right now, and went on a run with Holly. SUPER strong and cold headwind for the first 1.5 miles, so it felt great to turn around and head back. I've also been in St. George and Brian Head these last few days, so I haven't been running, but you know I've been skiing a ton and playing exorborant amounts of pickleball. Good times

Did a nice run out to the park and back. I also started listening to the audiobook "Iron War", so Mark should be happy about that. Shoutout to Mark for letting me use his audible

really fun run out in the tuscon desert with my boy Sam. It just was a great, slow run, just talking a whole bunch and really enjoying time together. It also felt good to sweat a bunch out in the desert sun.

Just did a quick 20 minute run, right before heading off to school. My roommate Brett ran 16 miles in my shoes yesterday, I figured I might as well log the miles to keep better track of the wear on that shoe.

Met up with Michaela and Dan, ran down to this park and did a cool little speed workout of 400, 600, 800, 600, 400, 2x200. The 400s were in about 1:10-1:12, the 600s were at like 1:50, maybe a smidge faster (I'm writing this a few days after the fact, so times are not exact), the 800 was 2:30, and I have no idea what the 200s were. Good workout, it was fun to do some speed, I did dry heave after the second 600, so that was exciting haha.

Enjoyed a nice run to the park and back. Did lots of thinking. Life is good, I feel really optimistic about things, there's just a lot to do and I gotta keep up the good energy going forward.
