I needed to run today since i took two days off from running. My goal now is to run for time and not mileage. So i ran an half hour at a 8:58 per mile pace. My shin is soar so i am going to ice it. The good news is my heart rate was between 144 - 153 at that pace. Not bad, i think. Thanks for reading and have a great day..
Not too bad of a day, the shin was a little soar but not too bad. I ran for forty five minutes (5.05 @ 8:57 pace) then i used the elliptical for fifteen minutes ( .68 miles). Not much else to say. I guess i have one more thing to say and that my deck is 95% done :). Thanks for reading and have a great night...
Today was an interesting day. I started out running at a
nice easy pace and then my shin started bothering me. So when I was at my first
mile I decided to stop and wrap my shin and guess what that helped. So I went
back to running and decided to test my heart rate. I usually like to keep my
heart rate around 150 bpm. So as I am increasing my speed I notice that my
heart is also rising with the speed of the machine. So I then decided to take a drink of water, and
then guess what happened next? My heart rate went down. So I increased my speed
again and my heart rate started to go up, then I took another drink. And as I am
running it came to me, it was like the light bulb turned on. And this is what I
came up with. As my heart rate goes up my body starts to dehydrate or as my
wife says “starts to stress.” So when I was running I would drink some water
which would help me to keep my heart rate around 150 bpm which would stop my
body from stressing out. So I was able to run a 7:57
pace and keep my heart rate around 150 because I was drinking water. So let me jump back for a minute and talk
about the past for a minute. When I would run nine minute mile my heart rate
would be around 150 +.So my little test today was called the Water test let me
know when my body starts stressing out I need water and I could tell this by my
heart rate. So please let me know what you think about my water test and if you
have seen the same thing when you are running. Thanks for reading and have a great night…
