I am a happy camper now. I was able to go running today :). I went to the doctor and was cleared to go running.. But i am going to start off slow and take it easy the rest of the week. i was able to run 3.5 miles at a 8:33 pace. Thanks for reading and have a great day, because i am having a great day :)..

Barry - Sorry to hear about your problem. Take it easy and consider mixing in some cross training days (cycling, swimming, etc.). You don't have to run everyday to become a very good runner. I know that's taboo talk at this blog, but I know plenty of tri-athletes who kick my butt at running races. Granted, they work very hard while cross training, but they don't run everyday either. Something to think about. I wish you the best.

Marion, Thanks the doctor told me that i just over did my running and that is why i had blood in my urine.

Robert, I understand what your saying, but i really enjoy running six days a week and would miss it.

Something for us to try. The doctor told me to take a small container and fill it 1/2 full of water and 1/2 full of something like power aid and then add some protein powder and that is better than the sports beans or the gels. Take this and water for our long runs and see how this helps..
