Today my shin was bothering me, so what I did was every time it hurt I stopped and stretched. So I was able to finish my run. I am going to the doctor tonight and have him look at my shin again and see if it is getting worse.I do have to say that the last two miles I felt ok. My overall pace was 8:57. I will let you all know what the doctor says later tonight. Thanks for reading and have a great day!!

Barry, maybe the treadmill is what's causing the shin splits. Just a thought, because your stride is altered a bit on a treadmill.

Kory,

When i went to the doctor today i did ask him about the treadmill and he said "no." The treadmill is not hurting me at all. I am just thinking that i am putting on the miles to fast and my body is having a hard adjusting to to it. Also, my shin is still not 100 % healed. But the doctor said that stopping and stretching is a good thing to help the shins. And i should be able to run the race on Saturday. Thanks for the advice and Good luck on the Triathlon.

The doctor went good. My shins are not 100% yet. So when the pain comes on i need to stop and stretch. But thanks for the comment.
