I decided to run eleven miles today, and I just wanted to run around a 7:00 minute mile. But of course that did not happen; my pace was 06:47.27. I am not sure why I want to run so fast, but I sure feel good.

If you had run another 2.1 you would have broken a short term goal in a work out. Your workouts are looking good. The only thing now would be to up you minimum daily mileage. Start with a minimum amount you will run 6 days a week and then up that minimum every two weeks by one mile. You'll be ready for a marathon this summer if you are wanting to do one.

I couldn't agree MichelleL more. Lots of medium miles are a lot better than a few fast ones. Increase slowly and you'll be there before you know it.

Thank you for your idea of increasing my mileage. I have been thinking about doing a marathon, but I am not sure if I am ready yet. And by increasing my mileage I think I would be ready for one.

The thing I have trouble with is doing things slowly. I am the kind of person that likes to get things done and get them done fast. But I will try to take my mileage increase slowly. Thanks for the help..
