Same course as last Saturday. I drove down into Little Valley, parked the truck, then proceeded to run home. I figured if my truck was left then I'd have to go and get it. It measured out 10.5 to my house and I actually felt pretty good, foot and all. When I got home, I refueled and headed back. This was a little better since there was more downhill; however, the longer miles do reek havoc on my foot. I will say that wearing the Hokas have softened the blow and the foot isn't falling off. The pain is a bit more manageable. The 2nd half of the run was a bit slower but glad I had my drinks stashed along the way. The only problem was that I froze them thinking they would thaw by the time I got to them and it worked but just not as much as I had hoped. I ended up with sips and not guzzles - was probably for the better of my stomach too. I guess it all worked out. (Stinson: 47.5) |
