| Husband had to work, so I was back on the treadmill with the kiddos this morning. The kids did great and I actually didn't mind the treadmill so bad. My left knee is finally feeling better after having 4 days of NO running. Only 3 weeks left until Hobblecreek, can't wait for it to get here! | Add Comment |

| Woke up at 5:15 this morning to hear rain drops on my window and lots of wind. Decided then to turn my alarm off and just run on the treadmill. Ready for a good, long run outside on Saturday. | Add Comment |

| I was super excited to get back out on the streets this morning. I was a little nervous because I knew this was going to be my longest run before the race in 2 weeks. I met Laurie at the corner and we started out. She keep such a nice steady pace and I love that. We ran into a couple of dead ends and had to run on a dirt road for just a bit, but really liked the route. The weather was perfect!! I dropped her off at 9 miles and then added on a little so that I can feel a little more confident for the race. I had forgotten how nice it is to sometimes run alone on road. I enjoyed letting my mind wonder and really ponder some things in my life right now. At one point around mile 10 I think I kind of hit that runner's high because mentally and physically I felt awesome. Finished in 2:02. | Add Comment |

| Met Jodi and Lauri this morning. The weather was perfect, with a cool breeze. We did our normal loop and felt great the entire time. Going to take a 800 now to try to minimize the knee pain and hope things continue to feel better. | Add Comment |

| Good to be home and getting back into the normal routine. Met the ladies at 6am and it was quite cool - darn! I'm so not ready for summer to end. Anyway, we decided to just go the short loop this week to prepare for Saturday. However, Jodi mention something about trying to go a little fast - what was she thinking. The entire thing felt like a sprint - I expected our time to be much better than it was. Now I'm off to a day of laundry and house cleaning! | Add Comment |

| The morning started far too early! We got to the park and quickly got our packets and loaded on a bus. I was happy to see my sister Jody get on the same bus a few minutes later. We waited and waited for the race to start - what a joke?! We all decided that we were going to try to stay together and run around 9 minute miles. Of course the beginning was crazy crowded - some people are so inconsiderate when passing. I was glad when mile 3 came and I gu'd and things started to spread out a little bit. I was able to keep the first 6 miles under or at 9 minute pace. By this point our group was no longer together and then I started to slow, but was able to keep it under 10 for the remainder of the race. I got super hot and had a hard time breathing around mile 10 and was so grateful for the down hill and the shade to calm myself down. After the water stop and misters ( loved them) I had to get a little more mentally tuff. I knew that if I really pushed I could maybe hit it at 2 hours, but there just wasn't enough energy there for that. I crossed the finish line at 2:04 on my watch and am happy with that. To be honestly, it was hard and I'm proud of myself for running the entire thing!! | Comments(3) |

| Met Jodi and Laurie and did a slow 2.5 mile walk. It felt good to get my legs moving and hopefully some of the soreness will start going away. We had a great time talking about the race and it was fun to hear all the different thoughts and feelings. Now I'm back to my treadmill - not excited about that at all. | Add Comment |

| Decide to try a slow run on the treadmill this morning. My quads are still slightly sore and my feet are still suffering from a few blisters, but I did it. I kept it nice and easy the entire time. Did a little ab workout after. | Add Comment |
