Got up 6:30 AM and ran 3 miles. I put my Garmin on and kept looking at how far I was running. Every tenth of a mile I would look down at the watch and move on with utter disgust, I kept telling my self, “I can not turn around and head for home until I went out 1.5 miles.” As I passed East Ridge drive, I gazed up its mighty mass. It beckoned me; so I took the challenge and galloped up its sturdy side, wheezing all the way. At the top bent over gleaming in triumph and looking at the view. I said to my self; I did not need to have half million-dollar home to see the view. Just a pair of good legs and a will to get there. ran another 4 miles at night real easy. Easy as pie! |
