Shoutout to galen for qualifying for state, and Josh for almost beating Christian Allen.

| I did better than yesterday, but still not that great. My splits were all over the place, 71,79(yikes), 80(uh-oh), and 75. I am menatlly weak. If I want to get to the level I should and want to be at, this is where the improvement needs to happen. I'm in good shape, but this is my weakness. I have the crappiest mindset possible during races. I am always think about how hard I am hurting. That needs to change.

| Was originally gonna do a solid run of 9-10 miles, but my shin was hurting a little bit so I decided to play it safe. Was kinda hot out, I am getting excited for summer when we can run in the morning again.

| sadly, no run today. My shin was hurting again, but I don't think it's anything serious. My mileage has really dipped these past few weeks. I did get a super insane core workout in though! I did the workout Courtney did with us the very first session of strenght training. Felt a lot easier this time, but it was still super hard. Molen wants us to win region, so he's puttin a bunch of our guys and girls that have already qualified to score points, which is freakin stupid. He's crushin people's dreams out there. Good luck to everyone trying to qualify these next few days, especially if you go to Lone Peak(if you haven't already qualified), haha.

| Played some pretty legit wonketball at the park. The last halfish mile back was a total party, because it was raining pretty hard
Ran more my myself later because I feel guilty about not running yesterday, and running in the rain is pretty much the best thing in the world. It's definetily in the top 5 of favorite things to do.

| Good distance run up the canyon a ways. My legs aren't accustomed to hills as they once used to be.
A little extra later. I'm not able to race at JV region, so I might as well start getting into summer mileage(I'm not gonna do 14 miles a day, this is just to make up for low mileage earlier this week).
Shoutout to galen, jamison and lil' warner for all qualifying in the mile for state!

| haven'r ran rhe last 3 days. I'm not injured, life has just been pretty hectic. I feel so undedicated. And fat, The only form of exercize I have done was some pretty legit basketball with the guys on the team yesterday. Will hit it super hard the rest of the week, will go like 11 tomorrow, 13, and then 15-16. I am already crazy excited for XC!

| One of the best runs of all time. I was originally going to run down to BYU to watch my teammates in the 2 mile, but of course I couldn't go for a stupid reason. I then went up provo canyon a bit to timp park to do the course for the trail half marathon i'm doing in 2 weeks. I stayed on the course until about mile 4, then I accidently took a wrong turn. I went on this amazing trail for a few miles before turning back. There wasn't anything huge that stood about this run, it was just crazy fun. It was pouring rain the whole time, which only made it 10x better. The trail was super muddy, and I fell a few times, but that didn't stop me from having a super good time.
Shoutout to my teammates who ran the 2 mile today. Conditions definetily weren't the best but they still did awesome. Our team actually did pretty decent, placing 5th for guys and 4th for girls.
This was not the way I though my junior season would pan out. Nothing went my way, and I didn't achieve any of my goals. I haven't really had any high points this past year with running, and i've had a lot of lows. I'm gonna make sure my senior season is the exact opposite. Reaching all my goals, having fun, and having most things pan out the way I want them too.
On that note, this was a bad week of mileage. Actually terrible. Next week i'm hitting it hard with lots of hills, and at a faster pace than normal too. So pumped for summer XC training! Even though I will only be at practice for like 3 weeks of the whole summer...

| Played basketball during the track class. When I got home I started to go for a run, was planning on doing like 10ish miles. But I felt pretty good, so I decided to do a 5k time trial. I did a mile warmup, and then did a 5k loop I made from my house. I got 17:28! This is like a almost 2 minute PR for me, but it's not official. No one was there to see me do it, so it dosen't really count. But for all like 2-3 of you that read my blog, do you think I could put this as a PR? I also did some hardcore core(get it?) later. That's one thing i'm gonna work a lot on this summer.

| Root beer mile. I'm like allergic to soda. Whenever I take a sip of it, I feel terrible for the next while. I was one of the first guys with the first can down, but I threw up at the 150 mark. I then jogged the rest of the lap and started on my second, and after like a minute I had barely drunk any, so I gave up.
I tried to run later, but I feel like crap. This means long runs as in 11+ the rest of the week.

| loooong run. Kinda zoned out for a bit. Did mountain run up to lambert and ran some up there. After a while I looked at my watch and I had run 10.8 miles! The last time before that i checked I was at 6.2. Scary. On the way back I though up this scenario where I was ubducted by aliens for a while and they magically added miles onto my watch, and then wiped my memory. And I am now convinced that is what happened to me. It's like I was unconsious for a bit during that 4.5 mile stretch. That's like 30 minutes! Sketchy stuff. Did a tough core workout afterwards. Going mountain biking for mutual tonight which I am pretty excited for. We're going up to lambert so maybe the same thing will happen again... It was actually canceled because it supposed to rain. My leaders are wusses.
Sadly, my watch is broken. From last saturday when it was pouring rain on my run some water got into it, and it hasn't been working well since, and it totally blew up on the inside soon after my run today. And suggestions for a new watch for me? I want to only pay 200 max, and I don't care about all the fancy stats.

| Went to Battle Creek canyon and back on Bonneville. Good run. I went a little slower than usual(by feel, because my watch is broken), but I think I averaged around a 7:10. I only stopped once though, so that makes up for the slower pace. Tough core workout when I got home.
As soon as I got home I had to go to my sister's clogging show, which was dumb. I did see ryan there though, which was funny. I ran like .75 miles there with my lil' brother, who is 3. He's gonna be a good runner. He's already super competitive, and he did all of it without stopping much. I don't know how impressive that is, but .75 miles as a 3 year old seems pretty good to me.

Lil' warner got the valedictiorian a few days ago. That's 2 years in a row that a guy from the XC team has got it. Sadly, it's not very likely that a guy will get it this next year. Maybe a girl on the team will.

I'm not doing the half marathon next week. I'm going to do a 5k instead so I can see where i'm at, and where my summer training needs to go, especially when i'm running by myself.

| 4 mile loop in Alpine. I felt good and wanted to push it, but everyone is getting back from their week off so they didn't want to. I did some pretty good core after I got home, and I also stretched which felt awesome. Those last few spots on varsity on going to be coveted. There are 5-6 guys that could get those spots. It's a few months away though, so anything can happen. I'm the only senoir in the mix. I'm not going to let someone take my spot when they have another year to have it. This will be the deepest and most likely best team Lone Peak has ever had, and I want to be a part of it. (Not the JV part.)
I've decided the longest i'm going to run is 11 miles in one run this summer, unless we do more in practice. Endurance is not a problem for me. It's the speed I need to work on. I will still we doing inbetween 7-10 miles a day, but the pace needs to be faster. No more run's in the 7's. Only 6's and faster. I've said this a lot, but i'm so pumped for XC this year, I need to make up for my fiasco of a junior year with some killer times.

| School's over! Done with that shiz. Skipped track class today because we weren't going to do anything and went home and did a good run. On bonneville, but I added a few hillier trails. Was hitting 6:20's for most of it, and I was happy with that.
A bit later I went deep into some stats for next year. According to region last year, (w/seniors taken out) Lehi would win, AF, LP, Herriman, PG, Riverton and westllake. But of course it's not too accurate. According to 2 mile times this track season, which is more recent, it goes AF, LP, Lehi, riverton, herriman, westlake then PG. I only did it for our region cuz the only super good team out of it is davis. State wide, it would be AF with 49 points, Lone Peak with 72 points, then davis with 72 points. Davis won the 6th man tie by 2 spots and 3 seconds. This year should be good. AF isn't the clear cut winner like they usually are, and either AF, davis, lone peak or lehi could get the state championship.
Ran a bit later with my new watch, which came today.

| Easy run through art dye. A lot of people's shoes came untied, which was funny. I'm not going to miss running at the school. Found out Region is at PG this year and that stinks. I hate the course, whether it's the one they did last year or the original one. Most guys got their sub-5 shirts today which made me sad.
Went mountain biking for mutual, and we went up to lambert. We took spring up and rodeo down. Super fun. Some people were going painfully slow, so after a few minutes, Nathan, Jamison and I broke off and sped way up.

| Ran/hiked the tree of knowledge today(hiking up mount mahogany). Super fun stuff. On the way up we just went straight up the mountain instead of going on a trail, cuz we didn't know there was one. With about a quater mile to go to the top, we ran into galen and his cousin, which was pretty funny. We had waited at the bottom of the mountain for a while for him, but we decided to head up after a while. This last quarter mile probably took 30-45 minutes, a few guys got lost. We just kept telling them to go up, which is pretty funny. We spent probably 20 minutes at the top, and it took less that 40 minutes to get down, because galen knew a trail that we could take. There was over 8200 feet of elevation change, and it you put that into the mileage it was about a 12 mile run.

| Not doing the 5k today because my legs are pretty wiped out from yesterday. averaged a 6:55 which is decent but my legs we're pretty tired so i'm okay with it. My last post for the next few weeks, I'm leaving for Alaska tomorrow! I've found some pretty cool runs that i'm gonna do, and my family is going to be going hiking almost every day, so I will still get some good runs and exercize in.
