There wasn't a choice for Olympic Gold in the goal section so that's why I put "other"

Shins were hurting today. Played some basketball, after a few minutes they didn't hurt so that was good. Didn't do too well, lots of turnovers.

Night run with Zack. Nice and easy. My right hip was hurting some so we stopped a few times and stretched. Shoutout to Zack for coming with me last minute.

4 miles with my sister on Bonneville. Wasn't even out of breath after, so I ran to the mouth of the the canyon and back. Pushed it hard on that part, 6:25 average for the 2.8 miles. Getting pumped for the red rock relay this weekend!

Race: Red Rock Relay Leg 1 (2.21 Miles) 00:15:31

This was on Saturday morning but I want to do 2 seperate race reports. My 1st leg was the 6th total. It's 2.21 miles uphill. Supposedly it was a "hike". The team wasn't doing too well so I wanted to move up as much places as possible. Once I got the handoff I started out slow so I could push it once the steep part came. But it never came. It was all decently uphill but not at all bad. With a half mile left I just took off because I still had a ton of energy. Passed 8 people in my leg, so it was decent I guess. Not all that happy with my time so I was ready to push it hard on the next one.

After my first leg I had about 2.5hrs till my 2nd leg. Drunk some gatorade and a lot of water, ate a pop tart and some fruit leather. Ate a few gummy bears about 20 minutes before. We were in like 20th place when I got the handoff(out of 85) so I wanted to catch at least 10. This leg was 7.31 miles and it went down 2600ft in elevation. The first quarter mile was uphill and I passed some one right away on the hill. It was flat for probably another quarter mile then it got super steep for the rest of it. I passed 2 more people by 1.5 miles in, and then saw nobody the rest of the leg till 400m left. I was going at a pretty good pace for most of it. At one point will a little over a mile left I had to stop and walk for a bit on the downhill haha. I was hauling, going like 4:30 pace when I started to lose control cuz it was so steep and my legs were starting to turn to jello. Took a minute to slow down and walked for like 15 seconds till I had control. Kicked it in the last 400 in a 63, and it was pretty much flat so I was happy with that.

We ended up coming in 17th, so it was decent. Not too bad considering how slow my parents are haha. The downhill wrecked my legs and I hope they will be back to normal so I can go for breaking 5 on Tuesday.

Hiked box elder peak in the evening with my uncle and cousin. Was a good time. Had to snowshoe up near the top. Was rather chilly up there too, once it started raining. Was kinda freaky with the thunder and lightning so we didn't stay at the summit long. 1 of 10 peaks down.

Pine hollow and some other trails around there with Tanner and Jonas. It was raining most of the time but it snowed when we were a bit higher up. Really middy, at first I tried to keep my shoes dry but that wasn't going to happen so I just went right through the puddles which was fun. It got pretty cold. As usual I got thrashed on the uphill but was able to put some distane on them on the downhill so that was good. Breakfast at my house after. Really good time overall.

Some really good performances at state this weekend- Zack with 2 huge PR's in the mile and 2 mile, Galen, Jamison, and Connor Baller finishing their HS running career's on solid notes, Dom, Jackson, Emily, Ali winning state as a freshman, and all other people that ran. Shoutout to you guys cuz you inspire me big time.

Part of Mahogany today. Started with the dudes and almost immediately fell to the back. Was sweating a ton and really tired. Fell behind after a bit and after a bit I told them to keep going ahead. Turned back a little after halfway I think. Once I got home I felt like junk and threw up some so that was fun lol. Took a 2 hour nap and now I feel a little better. Sad I couldn't go the whole way, my last practice with them as a LP Knight. Seems like they had a good time. My sister is doing XC so I will be going to some practices with her but not a whole lot.

4 miles at practice, kinda sad and exciting at the same time. They will be a good team this year, sad I can't watch the races.

Went to Corner Canyon after and did a decent amount of biking. Good times.
