| 7 miles on TM. MMG Monday. Lots of hills It was nap time and I sat down on the couch after putting naomi in bed. The doorbell rang and my new running shoes came. Opened up the box and gave them a long stare. I laced them on and minutes later I was running on my TM. Thank you for the motivation on a Monday. In the morning I did a mom and tot class. Naomi would do some of the workouts with me. She would lay on her belly and head bang when I did pushups. Yikes. I bet that is how I look to her. Long day with a grumpy, teething toddler. |

| Long run with Brittany. Before the 5k, we ran a 8:16 AP for 13 miles! She is an awesome runner, so so so proud of her.
5k race after our miles. The past two weeks I have failed at nutrition miserably and I forgot to take a GU before the race again. I didn't run with Naomi and I ran a 21:22, placing after David. Next came Brittany with a 23 something? I forgot, but she did well for the course and our conditions.
We cooled down for a mile. Happy with this run. I don't feel like I am training for a marathon at all, which I guess I'm really not because I am pacing a 4:15. Makes me really want to run a marathon in the following weeks after The Woodlands Marathon, I just can't find any that work with our schedule.

| There was a 5k on base this morning and thank goodness there was, or else I don't think I would have gone running. My body is super fatigued and I have a big lack of motivation to get outside since all of my running is to be done pushing naomi around. I don't mind but I get so so tired. Did the 5k and I ran it a record slowest for me 24:45. I wasn't trying to race (seriously) and my body wouldn't go. I wanted to run 10 miles today but it just wasn't going to happen in my state. | I have wanted to do The Woodlands Marathon since I have lived in Texas. Because of logistics and the fact that I live so far from civilization, I have not done this race. I saw someone post that they were in need of pacers and I bit the bullet. If they were at least paying for my entry, that would help me get there.
David has been out of town for about a month now and my mom said she would come and watch Naomi during the race. We made a huge trip out of the weekend. I wanted to go to Waco to see the Magnolia Market (from HGTV, Fixer Upper). We left a day early to stay at a Bed and Breakfast and add two and half more hours of driving to the already 5 and a half hour road trip. I live so far away from anything I have to drive at least three hours. Anyway, long story short, the Market was not worth the extra time and I drove HOURS this weekend. I am looking forward to leaving this place in 2 months!!! yipppppppeeeee
Race details: Great race and I absolutely LOVED pacing this event. I would not have enjoyed racing this marathon- pretty darn difficult. Lots of rolling hills. It did get pretty warm out on the course but I didn't really notice because I wasn't going fast. The course was beautiful, winding through streets of trees.
I had fun pacing with Stephen, we would crack jokes and we tried to keep the pace consistent. He was pretty easy to pace with and communicate where we were with time. We were always ahead by a minute and we would walk through the aid stations. We had one runner with us and she stuck it out. She finished with a 4:13, which was a PR for her. It was fun talking her through the last miles while she kept strong. It's fun to see as a pacer how people really fall apart at the end of the race and you feel really good. It reminded me of what I do in marathon when I am trying to give it my all.
We finished with a little less than a minute to spare but we ran under the clock when it read exactly 4:15. People sure liked that and were impressed with our timing. hahaha.
My friend Brittany I coached and trained with ran a 3:40. I was super impressed. This was her first marathon and by no means was it an easy one. She said she felt great the entire time. I knew she would do well. I was just happy things went her way and she ran her best. Beautiful day to see her accomplish an amazing feat.

Big fat horrible running/fitness week. I have struggled living here for the past 5 years with severe lack of motivation and having hardly any runs that feel great to me. Ready to move and change the scenery. What I would give for childcare and like-minded individuals to train with. Sometimes people here talk to me about running and think I have no idea what I am talking about... I feel like because I don't fill the stereotype of a "skinny" runner people don't respect me and don't think I have what it takes to be an athlete.
Or maybe it's because I'm pregnant and I feel only nastiness lately. It's great that my husband gets endless amounts of praise for being a fast/fit runner among his colleagues and I just sit here gaining weight with no energy. And to be honest, the last thing I want to do is push a stroller up and down streets of base because he is TDY for a month. Come Monday maybe I will have lost 30 pounds, run fast and have endless energy? We all wish the weekends bring us that.

| I ran with the stroller at the Outlaw Half Marathon in Fredricksburg. David won the marathon for the men, There was a female Olympian that he couldn't keep up with and she beat him by a minute. Impressive race and fun to watch it.

| This was our final Del Rio City run before we leave, They changed the course and moved the race to a different location. I was happy that I was not on stroller duty because lately running has completely sucked on every level for me. The route was very hilly and the wind was bad for a stroller.
I was the thrid lady from the get go and that is where I stayed. It is depressing to see my fitness on a very level, knowing I could have finished this race at least 3 minutes faster if I weren't pregnant. Oh well, I would rather have a baby then try to win stupid races.
The race was organized well and both David and I won our age groups. He finished 11 seconds behind the winner, with a stroller, pretty awesome. I wished that he would have won. Fun race and a good group of runners that supports these races always comes out. Everybody cheers each other on it seems. Can't say I'm not ready for a change. :)

I got to 500 miles for the year today! The gym is doing an incentive program. You get a shirt the first 100 miles you run, 250 you get a water bottle and 500 you get a medal and your name on a plaque? Well, I figured I would just turn my card in when I hit 500. I did it and now there is really nothing else to look forward to with my running. David and I are planning to run Boston next year, so I better keep running for that so I don't loose too much fitness over the pregnancy and year.

| Base 10k. Devil dash. My goal was to stay around 47 min. Super humid and warm out. At least it wasn't super windy, the runway gets so windy and horrible to run on. Started out pretty conservative. it just got really boring when we hit the back runway and headed west. Pretty much running alone for the race. Started catching up to the 5k runners and I was about half way. Ran around the planes, I just wanted it to be over. Hit mile 5 and just knew I had a little more than a mile. Most of the last mile was uphill. Saw david with about half mile to go. I threw my hat at him and he stopped and picked it up. He ran me to the finish. 5th overall and 2nd female. I didn't think I did that bad until I looked at my time from last year. 4 extra minutes. Dang. I am 19 weeks prego and any running is great for me at this point. Racing is just an extra ego booster. People tend to get frustrated around here when a prego passes them up. Walked back to get naomi, she was with gramps and grandma walking the 5k. They were happy they were only second to last this year. Haha |

| 6 remembrance miles for a soldier that died in Afghanistan. Cool to try and think of that person, his sacrifice and his family. First time running from our new place in san antonio. Sucked. Hopefully david will find some better places for us to run. Very busy roads and there is no way I can push naomi around in a stroller over there. Super slow and gross. David had to wait and was getting mad with my 9 mile pace which felt like garbage. I can't recall a run that had felt "good" since I have been pregnant. I guess it's ok because you tend to forget what normal running feels like. I'll let you know when I have a "good" run. |

| I was nervous to pace a 9 minute mile for this race. I was pacing with Rachel, so I knew she would understand my running weaknesses if there were to be any. Race started at 6:30 and it was really warm. This is my favorite half marathon and my second time pacing the event. It seemed that the race still hadn't frown since 2013. Best kept secret. We paced a little ahead the first half because I was nervous we were going to need a cushion the last 5 miles or so. Rachel Kept rearing me in because we were going a little too fast at times. The first half was def hot until we hit the shady part of the canyon. Coming back around mile 9, I rwally started having contractions. I cruised to the next aid station and made myself drink two glasses of water. I started feeling better and wanted the run to be done. There seemed to be a lot of women along the way that we were able to encourage and they had positive attitudes in beating us. I love the women that this race attracts, they seem to be low key and bad A. Most of the women from this race are from out of state. I love this race and the fact that I got to pace with rachel. I also love the refreshments at the end. It was an awesome feeling having done a good job on this @ 22 weeks pregnant. |

| I'm in town and it's the city celebration so I did the 10k. Started at the high school and ran a random course along downtown lehi. We ran the 5k course twice, and it was extremely short. I locked into 3rd place lady and half way a gal passed me. I didn't care. I maintained below an 8 mm the entire time and that was good for being 24 weeks prego. My friend came in right after me and was surprised when I told her I was pregnant. Do people honestly not notice my big belly? Please tell me I don't look the same as not pregnant! Maybe people just think I'm chubby there? So I got 1st in my AG and I was proud of that. Disappointed in the race itself. Course and the way it was marked. You would think runners putting a race on would be more accurate in their race distance? Who knows.... maybe they think they run further than they really do. There is GPS for that. ;) |

| This race was the ultimate suck-fest. I wanted David to get in a good race, so I told him to register and I would bandit- run, maybe not even do it. I was planning to push Naomi around but I really didn't want pressure to run this thing, I really did not want to be there. David registered and also came back with a number for me. I was pretty upset, I DID NOT want to race and when I register for races, I can't hold myslef back. He told me I was acting like he shot my cat. The race didn't start until 9:15 in the Texas heat and I was already feeling really uncomfortable at this point.
The race started and the runner were the pre-curser to the parade, so we got to run down the parade route. I actually really enjoyed seeing all of the families waiting for the parade and seeing all of the little children dressed in red, white and blue. Naomi seemed to be enjoying it and I got a lot of good comments as I passed running pregnant with my stroller, it was pretty awesome. At mile 2 my left hip started acheing and it really made me upset. I would walk and the pain would go away. It's just so frustrating feeling your body fall to bits and pieces when you have struggled to make it this far running in pregnancy. I would run and it would just hurt again. Now a lady with a double stroller with toddlers was keeping pace with me. Go mama! But then I saw David and he took the stroller. Everyone started commenting on how he had pushed the stroller and good job, it was really making me upset. I cried and walked the last quarter mile, he kept telling me to run. I was completely defeated and upset with myself. It is so hard to remember that my body really can run comfortably and there is internal motivation. Just sucks. I love that a baby is coming soon but it is so hard for me to watch my pace go up and up weekly. I just wanted to crawl inside a big hole and cry.
We watched the parade and went back and they were doing awards. David won first in his AG and went and looked up my result. I also won my AG to my surprise. I just hate putting running on hold at times and having a spouse that totally doesn't understand my frustration with myself at this time. I guess I will go sit in a dark hole and eat ice cream for the next 14 weeks. This is when depression sets in with my pregnancy because I am getting bigger and yet I am still so far away from the baby will be here. It's really not that far away, but realizing you will just get bigger and hotter in the Texas heat is a frightful thing.
