| Member Since: Nov 27, 2016 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: I have run 12 marathons, 5 since major surgery in 2005. My fastest was Leipzig in 1992. 3 hours 11 minutes 48 seconds. The Mesa-Phx Marathon on February 25, 2017 was the fastest since my surgery at 4:26:59. Short-Term Running Goals: I want to improve on my last Marathon time. After the Phoenix Marathon that I ran February 25, 2017 I want to focus on shorter races and do a sprint tri. I did improve about 45 minutes faster on the Mesa-Phx Marathon over the last Petrified Forest Marathon and about 27 minutes faster than the last time I ran the Mesa-Phx Marathon. Long-Term Running Goals: Continue to run and work on my speed. Do shorter races and a sprint tri in the next year. Personal: I have been an educator for 32 years. My wife, Margaret, and I have 6 children and at the present time 6 grandchildren. Running helps to keep me level. I love it and hope to continue to run for many years to come. Favorite Blogs: |

| PM. 1:02:56 with 10:01 pace. 9:51, 9:47, 10:24, 10:36, 9:29, 9:49, and 2:59 for .29 miles. I have been doing variations on the same course with the toughest miles being the same elevation rises. Not consistent but feeling better. I was starting to train for a marathon because Tim wanted to run one in May or June. He injured his shoulder and isn’t running now. He plans to do 10 K in May and a half next September. He was going to come here but not now. He said he is thinking about a marathon in a year. I am not sure what my plan will be. |
