| Long run! Did OK, found a good cruising pace at 8:25ish after a slow start up the hills, then leg tightened and slowed for miles 7 & 8. Then 9-11 it loosened up again and allowed me to run 8:20s again. Feel better about RtB now.

| Nice cool cloudy breezy day for running. Went out toward Sand Beach and back. Started very slow and felt logy, then picked it up a bit when shirtless running guy joined me. Still didn't break 8:30s though.

| Tried out the new mill. Super nice! Ran 16 minutes warmup, then 8 x 1:00 fast, 1:00 slow, with fast being relative--7:30 -> 6:53 pace. Felt smooth, hope to keep a bit of turnover in the midst of the long(er) pre-RtB runs.

| Reach the Beach. Ran the 9th leg, which I ran in the blazing heat last time (last year?). Much nicer this time, clear and low 60s with a breeze. Tried to run under control, but ended up going out too fast chasing someone. Moderated over the 2nd half, a lot of which was uphill, and averaged 7:30s, which was pretty close to my goal.

| Two double legs in a row, yikes. Ran 20 and 21, which were both labeled easy. The first one was, nice downhills a lot of the way, but 21 was a beast, with a huge elevation gain, a lot of which was in one mile straight uphill. Came through halfway in just under 8:00s, but with the monster climbs slowed to 8:10s for an average, which I'm still content with. Then ran 34 and 35 getting close to the coast. They were mostly flat with a few inclines, including overpasses. Had to wait a while to cross Route 1, so that added to my time. Ended up with 7.4 miles at a rather steady 7:45 pace, again not super quick but given the circumstances I'm pleased to be able to maintain that after 23.4 miles within 22 hours.

| Slow run, perfect weather. Legs still feel deeply fatigued, but no new sore spots, so that's good. The ITB and nerve are still pretty sensitive though.
