| Around WHP and PH from HC. Took it easy at first but got into a good rhythm and two out of the last three miles were sub-8. If I can get to 5 days of running/30 mpw and stay healthy, I could probably regain a bit of form.

| At the track while my son had a driving lesson at the HS. Jogged in the 6th lane 5x around, then 8 x 1:00 hard with 1:00 recovery. Much of the hard minutes were down the back stretch into a pretty good breeze, which helped bc it was warm and sunny. Pace started modest (6:45) but gradually increased to between 6:11 and 6:23 for the last 4. Tried to stay relaxed but running faster is still new and still involves too much extra weight on board.

| Sch Head after work, warm and slow. PF symptoms worsening :-( Awful that just a few miles a week could do that. I'll lay off the faster running to see if I can resolve it. Sigh.

| Legit Aunt Betty with Gareth. Ran slowly up McFarland and 7 Bridges, but last 4 miles were 32:16 total, so a bit more brisk than long(er) runs have been lately. Felt pretty good overall and leg was fine until 7.5ish, but PF was not happy after or next day :-/

| Pouring rain and PF, so did 63 minutes on treadclimber, 3.5 total miles, 2k feet climbing. Got a good workout that didn't seem to offend my heel too much.

| Warm and humid. Ran at 10:00 to beat a little of the heat, felt OK for a Sch Hd that started slowish but sped up to uphill 8:10s by the end.

| Hot, steamy, went very, very slow. I should probably run this pace for all my recovery runs, got some time on feet but it felt much lower impact on my legs.

| Hot and humid this morning, and it was pretty nasty in the sun. The conditions were far hotter than I'm used to, and it was my first race of the year, so decided to run hard but not go to redline. I did a pretty good job of letting how I felt dictate pace, so it's not a surprise that the mostly downhill/shade first mile was 6:40 and the mostly uphill/sunny third mile was 7:20. The disappointment was the up-and-down second mile, during which I felt strong but only came in at 7:11. So I didn't quite break 7:00s, my original goal, but that's OK, and I passed 5 people in the last mile to crack the top 10 and finish as the first old guy.

| Easy lunchtime 5. Finally getting a little better acclimated to the warmth--it was pretty toasty and I felt fine. PF is a nuisance, but my sciatic nerve hasn't flared for a while, so, yay?
