| Tried to run a steady effort that was harder than I'd tried previously but not a strain in any way. Was amazed to settle in at 7:25s given I hadn't run sub 8:30 before. Splits per Garmin = 7:24, 7:25, 7:25, official time 23:08. Worked the last mile pretty hard up the hills and passed quite a few people but otherwise just ran steady and took it easy on downhills.

| With Jim on carriage roads, hurrah. Went pretty easy around WHP but still ended at 8:30s.

| With Jim, went WHP to EL then back by DBB. Felt fine, started slow but sped up from 8:40s -> 8:20s. Encouraging.

| Very slow today! Quite warm and sunny, so trotted out to Schooner Head and back very relaxed. Felt a little sore but otherwise fine.

| A bit more sore. Tried the Saucony Rides instead of the Hokas today, and after the 1st mile it was OK. Knee is more sore than I'd like after though.
