What I learned from the race: 1- I need to figure out my stomach issues. 2- I performed well in the marathon until my lack of training kicked in. 3- I will be able to perform well for a longer period of time when I train more. 4- Body Glide is really good at preventing chaffing. 5- Half Marathons are more fun than marathons. 6- I need to lose weight, get down to about 150-155 lbs. 7- I am motivated for marathons, I just need to do some more simple preperations. 8- The Phoenix Marathon was a great course! 9- I will be more mentally prepared next time I do a full marathon! 10- Don't have other races as distractions when the going gets tough (when I started to hurt I began thinking of the Lake to Lake Relay so I slowed down so I wouldn't be as sore).
